I have 2 Random moments that both happened on my way to work this morning...
First, I was sitting at a red light and this white tailed hawk swooped down, almost on top of my truck and grabbed a mouse in the field next to me! It was a live National Geographic moment. Pretty cool actually.
Second, Houston Rodeo Trail Riders. Ok, so let me explain this yearly ritual. Houston hosts the largest rodeo in the country and the week prior, very large groups of people ride into the city on horseback and in covered wagons, from hundreds of miles around. They are fully clad in cowboy attire, (Google it and see) it takes a week and they camp under overpasses, etc. So, the surreal part is that they ride straight up the freeways. There's nothing quite like driving out of your suburban neighborhood and running smack into a half mile long wagon train, lol.
I'm gonna date myself here, but it always reminds me of the Chuck Wagon dog food commercials from the '70's.
