Thanks to an addiction to the website sporcle, and their recent audio quiz on tv show themes, I had the Different Strokes theme in my head for about a week. Long enough to think about it way too much. Willis and Arnold are oprhaned and dirt poor (own nothin' but their jeans), but their mom was the Drummond's housekeeper, so exactly how badly did she get paid? Housekeeper for a really rich dude and her kids have nothing, sounds shitty to me. Then she leaves custody of her kids to this guy? Maybe if she'd made a living wage and had some decent health care, she would've survived her illness, whatever it was.
I really need to stop thinking about this.

So little McFine are sitting here flipping here between US Open Tennis, college football and track and field...ok I was watching and she was complaining. Anyway, she looks over to one of the chihuahua's and notices something white stuck on her back. After closer inspection, she finds it to be toilet paper wound under her collar. As we were spending our first night in our tent, togather, we made love. As my girlfriend climaxed, so did the sky. The storm that had been going on suddenly went stronger and a really nice lightening blinded us. It was quite awesome. The creepy/weird thing is that we both agreed I should post this here, share. FINALLY went to see Harry Potter today...well worth the wait! The movie was excellent and I cried at the end even thought I knew the out come; I'm a total baby.

Anyway, we stopped in at the arcade so the kiddos could Dance, Dance Revolution and I could indulge in a little Galaga and Ms Pac-Man. So, I had an awesome round of Ms Pac-Man! I was on my 17th board, with 4 extra men and 80,000 from the high score. Then disaster struck...the power went out.

So, I'm watching videos from Sonisphere Festival and I realised something. Even though the weather was very... British, Sum 41 had the power cut off (because they refused to leave the stage), the festival lacked fireworks and Anberlin's show was way too short it was the most fun I had this year so far.
I still can't believe how much I actually enjoy festival camping. Can't wait for Soni 2012

Three days ago I got a voicemail. I listened to it and cleared it. The notice still tells me I have a voicemail but I have called a bunch of times and there is nothing in my mailbox.

So we went on a trip and are back a few days early. We had fun but we discovered/confirmed that we weren't made to travel with friends. We have a slow pace when we hike, we like to do fun stuff, not only cultural stuff (we do love culture, but going to museums all the time isn't our idea of fun)... Anyway, so random moments is yesterday we decided (all together) to come back home, on our way home we passed through France and through a city called Bitche... First time I see it, and of course we all laughed.

On another note, yesterday morning Lisa''s friends were taking apart their tent to pack it when the wind (which had been going on strong all night long) blew the tent in the lake. Somehow they both stopped at the shore but I jumped in and saved their tent. The water was called, but I was so proud to see that I didn't hesitate.

We do believe that Kittens aren't "people", we always enjoyed traveling with y'all as it is ok to have a different pace without anyone making a big deal out of it. Or even different activities. ^^

OT: I miss going on horse rides. Starting driving lessons in 2 weeks, so in a few months I'll be able to drive and will be able to look out for a nice horse club who do just rides, or friendly/gentle lessons. I need to loose weight before I do actual aquestrian sports again.

Watching Basketball made me so angry today.
Those referees had to be blind or bribed. Germany played an amazing game, but because of those refs they lost. It's infuriating!

I was on the phone to my best friend the whole time and since he is not interested in sports at all, apparently it was funny to listen to me rant... At least someone was happy.

On and off for the past several weeks, I've been taking part in a "trivia night" at a local bar with some friends. Often I feel completely useless, but every once in a while there'll be something like this little gem from tonight's 2nd round of play: "What TV show featured a werewolf that plucked bass in a band called The Dingo Ate My Baby?".

It's nice to feel useful.

I enrolled in driving school today. It's kinda weird though. In a 30 mile radius around this city no one has ever gotten this specific licence I'm applying for. I'll be the very first. They tell me it's kinda useless to get it, but I'm not going to spend 3500 Euros to be able to drive a car, that I won't be able to afford. So I'm sticking with the quad. Safer than a scooter (at least for me) and WAY COOLER!!!

14 theory double lessons starting on Monday... I'm scared and excited and... can't wait! Yay!!!

Thats the thing about the weather when it gets colder, it makes me want to cuddle in candlelight under a big blanket or be out camping in the woods in a tent and be gazing up at the stars while the campfire is craclking and warming up lots of spiced wine and hot chocolate. mmmmmm. yum

Random/weird moments always seem to occur at my daughter's birthday parties. We always joke that it's kinda like what happens to Buffy on hers. Anyway, on her 5th birthday there was a possum in one of the garbage cans, on her 7th there was a snake in the pool, on her 10th there was a big fight at the skating rink and tonight (her 12th) there was a raccoon in the tree in the front yard. The entire group of 13 girls went out to see it and about 30 seconds later...they ran back in screaming. I'm not sure who was more freaked out, them or the raccoon. Poor raccoon...
