I played "vixens" (and some other word) on a triple word score.

111 points.

Change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

For some:

Step 1: Go buy batteries
Step 2: Change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

If i ran the world, penalty for golf spectators who yell" get in the hole": taser.
If it's during a tee shot on a par 5: bullet behind the ear.
Probably for the best if i continue to not run the world .

So, I'm lying in a hospital bed last Friday, sick as a dog and my wife is sitting next to me holding my hand and just staring at me...

ME: Hey, what's wrong, are you ok?
C: Huh?
ME: Well, you're just kinda staring at me.
C: Um, your boobs look huge.
ME: Seriously?
C: Uh huh. (Still staring) What's the deal?
ME: I'm wearing a bra?
C: Ohh ok, I get it. You usually don't wear a bra when your lying in the bed.

I still haven't figured out if it was a compliment or what. :p

I was watching TV tonight and decided to test Siri and asked her all the questions from the commercial. She got them all except, "What is Orion?" It took 7 tries, she kept thinking I was saying, 'O'Ryan.' Anyway, I asked her, "Who is Willow Rosenberg?" and she came up with a picture of a willow tree in Rosenberg, Texas. :lmao

Amber: Sure ... Um, I'll be down there around comic con.
Me: Awesome. I'll be around.
Amber: Great. *fistbump*

If anyone wants The Ultimate Guide to Pregnancy for Lesbians and/or The Essential Guide to Lesbian Conception, Pregnancy, and Birth let me know and I'll send them along. I put them on ebay and no one bid and I'd rather give them to someone than Half-Price Books.

I'm watching Torchwood, and the characters were just talking about who/when their last kiss was. Tosh got made fun of for not having kissed anyone in a few months. I think by Torchwood standards, my lips must be revirginized.

During a discussion where the word "colander" came up:

Me: I happen to own a colander.
Her: Why?
Me: It came with our stock pot.
Her: Why do you own a stock pot?
Me: How else are we supposed to make soup?
Her: You make soup?!?

A couple of years ago I bought a kettle bell weight, but just having a cute name for it was not enough to make me much of a workout girl. Turns out though, it's perfect for pressing water out of tofu after we've frozen it. I wonder if at some point we'll just start keeping it in the kitchen.

We have 4 plus a strainer. I guess one can never have enough...

@Deb, Shelby:
We have two strainers and a colander, but I'm still stuck in an kitchen apartment; space limitations keep our inventory down.

Oh... and a strainer. And some funnels. And 2 stock pots plus 2 crock pots.

Anyway... So yesterday 2 big boxes arrived at the house. Big boxes of random hand-me-downs from cousins who are now 15 and 13. A box for Ash and one for Chiara. That's cool (except for how they are offloading junk and I hate junk but the kids love it so whatever). The weird thing? The mom (Rachel's brother's wife) who is very weird (believe me, Rachel thinks she is like an alien so it's not just me. She's like one of those Dallas aggressively cheery and chatty Christian ladies) wrote notes to each kid "bequeathing" the crap in the box. She wrote and signed both notes with the names of the kids. The kids (as I mentioned) are 13 and 15 and can write their own notes. It's all the same writing and even has 2 different "notes" with 2 different "signatures" on one of the pieces of paper. It's all very strange including the idea of bequeathing things.

When freerice.com tells you you've correctly answered 200 questions in a row, you know you have no life.

I was sitting outside earlier this evening, kicked back in a lawn chat listening to J chat with a friend out in the yard.

J: Did you hear those birds over in the tree?
E: Uh huh, what about them?
J: I think they're mating.
E: No they're not, they're fighting. I hear my Dad and stepmom do that A LOT in their bedroom at night.

DOH! :fallen :fallen :whip :whip

I've been really emotional lately and I wasn't quite sure why; just watched an episode of something online with repeated ads for the 3D Titanic re-release and realised the reason.

Titanic was the first movie I ever saw in the movie theatre. It's like my third earliest memory. I was 5 years old and I'm pretty sure I'd never cried so hard before or since.

To this day, if even a single bar of 'My Heart Will Go On' plays, I instantly regress and start crying.

Guess I'll be carrying a pack of Kleenex anywhere there's going to be a TV/Radio/Internet for the next few weeks.

My wife - who usually does not get a lot of housework done during the day - today did 2 loads of laundry and hung them on the line. Usually I would be pretty impressed. Today not so much for 2 reasons:

1. Chiara and I are having terrible allergies. Oak allergies. Oak Pollen allergies. I finally begged Rachel to please close the windows and turn on the A/c today because my allergies have been so bad. Yesterday I was fine at work, walked in the door and started sneezing that minute (literally). Anyway... when people are having bad pollen allergies, it's not that smart to hang their clothes/towels/handkerchiefs on the line outside (in the pollen). I'm actually rewashing my and Chiara's clothes and hoping Rachel won't be too pissed when she gets back home from work.
2. Rachel said "the whites are mostly folded" and the darks are on the line. Now usually she does no folding so anything she does is helpful. Except.... she folded as she took the clothes off the line. She folded the clothes that were inside-out, inside-out. How is that helpful? It just means I had to unfold the clothes in order to turn them out-side out and then refold them instead of just outside-outing them and folding. That's strange.

Anyway, I'm not ranting. Just sort of confused.

(I can't decide if this rocks or sucks so I decided to put it in random, but it's not really a moment.)

I have a test in an hour. I cannot remember what it's about. I may glance at notes to refresh myself, but even if I don't I'm going to make an A. Chances are I could have made at least a B without taking the class.

Sitting in the waiting room at the Dr. There are 13 people waiting (including me) and it's dead silent. 11 are playing on their phones and the other 2 are kids. They're playing on iPads.
