If duct taping them somewhere inconspicuous is out of the question, I prefer to go somewhere outside, like a park or playground. The last time I tried this however, I was babysitting three brothers that I didn't know that well.
I released them in to the maelstrom of kiddie activity at a the playground and suddenly realized I wouldn't be able to pick them out again. Freaked me out a bit.
Luckily I remembered shortly after that they were all wearing matching shirts. Much relief.

ETA: Damn, y'all are fast. Yes, I want children. Yes, I do sometimes wonder if the love of my life has already come and gone.
