Thanks HIP,

I live in Raleigh, but the storm only affected us a little. We had some strong winds, and our lights went out for about an hour. Otherwise, everything is fine.

I feel sorry for the people on our NC coast. They received it the worst. My prayers are with them.

Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.

Tara: Willow, I got so lost.

Willow: I found you. I will always find you.

I saw some images of the hurricane from Virginia Beach on the news yesterday and it looked pretty frightening. I hope everyone and their homes will be ok. By now the worst must have passed, I haven't watched the news yet, so I don't know what happened. I am glad you are ok The Rose. I don't know how many other kittens are living in the area, it's big, so it must be a few at least.

My thoughts and prayers for those affected by Isabel..

the garbage bins were having a blast of a time flyin' around last night..hell, I think I lost the recycling bin...it was damn windy to say the least but the sun is out right now so it seems like the worst has passed by us..in other areas if NY/NJ trees/cables were knocked down and dragged down a few streets...ack!

Storm

Postby VicariousSmoochies » Fri Sep 19, 2003 5:06 pm

I'm in virginia Beach and the ocean front was hit very hard. Lots of trees, limbs and power lines down. The winds were horrible...of all the years I've lived here, this was the worst. Usually, Va. Beach is protected by the outer banks...we're tucked in and usually don't receive the brunt of anything. Not so fortunate this time. The famous pier is missing a 40 foot section and all the money they poured in revitalizing the beach has been all but taken back by Isabel. What nature gives, sometimes she takes back.

Anyhow, thank you for those thoughts and prayers, those of you who posted.

My girl lives a few miles from the Outer Banks and luckily I was able to reach her last night! She said that when the eye of the storm was right above them, it was a very erie feeling, it was quiet, then...BAM, it hit with such a force! Really frightening!!

Today, she left a message on my answering machine and said they're still in the dark and probably will be for a while! My heart goes out to all those affected! JB take care, love you! :love

Out here in LA we only have to worry about those darn tremblers and the San Andreas fault! :pray

Vicarious, I am glad to see you are ok. So you stayed in your town? On the news they told us that most people had been evacuated from Virginia Beach, but some chose to remain. They reported live a few hours before the hurricane really hit and it already was a scary sight to see. I hope your home wasn't too badly damaged. Also, best wishes to your gf, 4WiccanLuv.
