Hello Kittens!



I was going through some funny online quizzes when I came across this intelligant, 100% serious 'Religion Selector'. I turned out to be a Secular Humanist I have to say they nailed my beliefe system perfectly. Though I was kinnda sorry I didn't turn out even 1% Wiccan .



Anyway, I know there are a lot of real Wiccans on board. And I'm guessing there are a lot who are curious as to exactly what it is they are (I know I am ), so here's the fun quizz called Wiccan Tradition Selector to help you decide exactly what kind of Wiccan you are. Have fun with it!

I love religion selector type quizzes. They're always fun to take. I always end up with Unitarian Universalist, Buddhist (both Mahayana and Theravada), Neo-Pagan, New Age and Liberal Quaker somewhere above 90%. Which is good, since I usually go around calling myself a Buddhist Pagan Unitarian. Or a Pagan Buddhist Unitarian.



Beliefnet.com has a lot of different quizzes of various types. Of course, there are also the quizzes at thespark.com. Personality quizzes, are you a mutant quizzes. hours and hours of entertainment!

I took the religion selector and my top three results were New Age(100), Neo Pagan(99) and Unitarian Universalism (85).



I did the test to find my Wiccan tradition and got Universal Eclectic Wicca.

Well, that was fun, although it required a little heavy thinking. My top three were Secular Humanism, Unitarian Universalism, and Liberal Quaker. Sounds about right for a girl raised as a Southern Baptist. hehe



My folks have given up on my soul and know I'm a big honkin' liberal - now I can tell them I'm a Liberal Quaker. I think that might reassure them somehow.

Oooh I love quizzes. I've spent far too long clicking on little boxes to ascertain everything from which Lord of the Rings character I am to which cult I would belong to. But a which witch (couldn't resist) one...even better! I got Universal Eclectic Wiccan for my first choice - pretty much on the mark.

These discussions are on a really high level and I reccomend reading them to anyone who's even slightly interested. I'm kinnda tempted to start a God thread here in the kitten... but that might not be such a good idea, eh?

For religion I got 'Reform Jew', which is damn close, cuase I'm a Conservative Jew, who is egalitarian and believes in evolution and some other stuff. Next was Quaker, so 'Hmm?' It's neat reading the descriptions and seeing how similar all the religions are. I enjoy sociology and reading up on other religions and cultures, and I try to be as tolerant as possible, so why can't everyone else in the world be??

Hmmm…I scored 100% New Age, 95% Neo Pagan, 94% Unitarian Universalist and only 30% Roman Catholic. I guess the nuns must not have done a good enough job on me when they had the chance.

I'm 100% Unitarian Universalist although I'm 99% Neo-Pagan and 85% Mahayana Buddhist hhmmmm.....interesting!

Oh yeah; this was back in the 60’s when they still wore long habits and could throw erasers at you and smack you with a ruler without any fear of reprisal. Whatever you heard about them is probably true.

Tell me if I'm prying, but... I can't imagine growing up in a society like that and coming out sane. You're Catholic, right? Are they like orthodox Jews? Did you have to abandon your community in order to live by your own beliefs?



I'm really quite ignorant about Catholics. The only equivalents I can think of are, like I said, orthodox Jews. Now, they are insane fanatics, fact. I'm not being racist – I was born a Jew myself. But their educational system is abusive, oppressive… I can't even begin to describe it. They take children and kill them from the inside. Very few of those children dare convert to anything, and if they do they are mourned for as dead. Are Catholics like that? How would a Catholic family treat a 'deserter'?

100 % Reform Judaism- surprise is the understatment, though I do agree in almost everything this religion teaches.



99% Neo-Pagan- this wasn't much of a surprise. I'm Wiccan since I was a kid.



But I never restricted myself with boundries of religion. I just have faith in some things, believe in other things and try to live in sync with nature...
