[Tempest Duer]

My brother was looking over my shoulder this evening and wanted to know why this site was so blue. Anybody know?

I like blue. Sides, I was playing around when I first made the site, because the original colors were a mess and I came up with this, anyway, it's stuck. I would change it but people complain if I even change the color of one font

(grin) I'm one of the complainers and am sorry. But I certainly noticed when the banners up top were changed! I like the site, though, is what I wanted to say. No matter what happens to it.



Except that if you scroll down a long page too fast, the blue at the sides can make you nauseous. (;

I remember what the first threads at the Novogate Kitten Board looked like when I clicked on them. Truly horrific background colors in the posts. If xita would ever dare change any of the current colors I'd be up in arms. I had never been to a discussion forum before I found the Kitten, but I have looked at several others since then and this seriously is the one with the best color combinations. These blue colors are very soothing to the eyes, especially in the morning when I am just waking up and check the board before work.



It's subjective of course, but when I see a forum with a totally white (or any other bright colored) background it gives me a headache (I can't stand bright light) and I've seen several different forums with purple/pinkish color combos and they just make the little cells in my retina that register color recoil in horror and consequently I can't see colors properly for minutes after looking at such forums.

The last mosquito that bit me had to check into the Betty Ford Clinic.

I've always liked pale text on dark backgrounds. I don't know why. Oh well. But yeah, major kudos to Xita for the layout.
