It's "What's my worst quality" weekend, MKF 5/31

It's the weekend and it's raining, so I'm bored out of my mind.



So let's talk about the not so nice qualities we all have. What's your worst quality? That thing (or things) about you that you would change if you could (or are trying to change.)



For me, I would have to say it’s my temper, which is very quick to anger. I easily get mad at anything or anyone at the drop of a hat (I really think I should be on medication )



Luckily for me, I have good friends that know how insane I get and they give me the space I need to cool off. I am very lucky to have them and I love them very much



They really are the best of friends, since I would probably would not tolerate that from anyone myself

Worst attribute? Now there's a subject I could get my PHD with. I'd love to say that my worst attribute is that I care too much or I'm just too darn irresistible and cute - but alas, some of you have met me and know that's a big fat lie.



I think my worst attributes are impatience and a need for control. So - can everyone answer this thread in an orderly manner and be quick about it!



Brian mate, I can't believe a sweet talking Canadian such as yourself could rise to anger. Do you say 'oh darnit' when you get mad? I can't imagine.

As far as my worst qualities, I will put my temper down as well. I am not an angry person but when I get mad, I get mad. I will also say stubborn and well ... being a 24/7 horn dog.

I'm usually too patient and I never lose my temper, but my worst quality is perfectionism. I sometimes feel like Willow did in the play in her dream in Restless; I need more time to prepare ... and overprepare ... then overprepare some more.

My worst quality is my lack of patience. My mother always said that when God was giving them out, I lost patience and stepped out of line. I just had my car serviced and they asked when I'd like to pick it up, I said "yesterday would have been good". I especially hate when I'm shopping and someone in front of me gets a price check because what they are purchasing didn't have a price on it. If there is no price tag, I don't buy it cause it seems to take forever to get a price check.



My temper used to be my worst quality but I've seemed to manage that and keep it under control. I guess I'll have to be patient to get some patience.

Mmm... my worst quality is most definitely my cynicism. I tend to interpret stuff negatively, regardless of what it is. The glass is always half empty.



Luckily, being a pessimist means I'm never disappointed... although my friends do have to tell me when I'm being a big black hole of despair...



Oh, and add me to the impatient list. Yesterday, I was waiting in line with my mother in a clothes store and the woman at the checkout decided that it would be fun to have a ten minute chat with the customer in front of us. At this point, I was digging my nails into my hands to prevent myself from saying anything. They finally stopped talking, and the checkout woman looked at us blankly and asked "Oh, are you buying those?" (looking at the clothes we had). To which I replied: "No, I just felt like standing here for ten fucking minutes because of the fun of it."



Realising what I'd just said, I went bright red, but the group of people standing behind us agreed and began yelling at her too! Good days...

I don't have any bad qualities. I'm practically perfect in every way. The pathological lying thing is a phase, or so I'm reliably informed.



I do, however, find it amazing the way friends react to so-called "bad" qualities. It's funny, isn't it, how friendship is able to overcome the personality quirks that we all have.



Or then again, sometimes it isn't. Heh. I suppose my mother would call that "getting rid of the chaff and keeping the wheat". Quite how farming relates to my friends, I haven't a clue...



Worst quality? Probably being over-sensitive to criticism. I spend far too many hours angsting over throwaway comments that people make about me and to me. Which is odd, considering that someone of my size should be able to develop a thick skin. Hm.

With the exceptions of drinking and swearing too much (which in my opinion don't count because I choose to do them) I think my bad qualities include being far too trusting, if someone really knows me then I can be taken advantage of quite easily. Also I can be quite moody as anyone who has chatted with me when I get in from work will know. I tend to become very withdrawn when something is bothering me, untill a certain point when I tend to snap and shout at the first person I see. I know it is not good but I am working on it honest.......

Do we only get to claim one quality, or can we do the whole laundry list? I guess that question indicates one of my qualities right there - being anal and wanting to over-analyze things at times. I guess shyness, stubbornness and a tendency to get down on myself occasionally would be a few more unpleasant characteristics that I would have to declare as well. Other than that, I’m really pretty wonderful.

My worst quality?? I can be really really cheerful & happy & upbeat... ... which absolutely irritates the begeezus out of a lot of really nasty irriatating, downer type people!!! .. Which does a good job of keeping nasty irritating people away... well, the ones that I want to keep away, that is... the really nasty ones get extra saccarine ....



But, I do try to be nice to people... I don't like to have to waste a good temper tantrum on someone who isn't worth the energy expended... besides, they never listen to the great advice anyway...

Good thread idea. I maintain that I have no bad qualities. However, if my father were to give a brief list of them, well, thats another story. (does best Ann's dad voice) Ahem, well, she has a problem sticking with plans, she over-analyzes, shes a procrastinator of the like that has never been seen, she can make a sailor blush with the way she curses, and she bites her nails. (gets back in Ann voice, mutters 'thanks dad, knew I could count on you'). So yeah. Thats me in a pinch. *grins angelicly* And I'm sure I have no idea what all that was about *smiles innocently*

Hmm.... good question. I like to believe that I have quite a few bad qualities, but also a lot of good ones. Problem with those all is that some of the good ones are also bad once. Am I even making any sense here?



For me personally, it would be thinking too much. For both the worst and best quality. It can be totally bad, but also very good.



The worst quality that bothers others. I would say that I can be quite stubborn. But it also could be the fact that I sing along with just about every song I hear. I'm driving my family crazy by it And I don't even sing THAT bad!!!!



But come to think of it, I think the best judges for these kind of things, are the people who know you best. So, I shall ask them, maybe they give me a better suggestion.

Whoah... this is such a cool thread. I've got plenty of qualities that some won't call bad... but I call them bad because it gets me into trouble. Others are just plain bad qualities that should make people stay far from me. I'll just list them out here.

Hmmm...looks like alot of people have a bad temper and I'm there with ya.



I try to stay calm and collective most of the time, but usually my overactive temper rises and trouble ensues.



Another problem I have is my lack of trust in others. Once you get 'screwed' over it hard to put faith in others. That one I am getting better with, but the temper is the scary one.

Damn. Worst quality. Qualities are more like it. Hmm… I’d have to go with being very impatient and having a short temper. There I said it .

The funny thing is I do recognize that I have a short temper and all but my ability to bottle it up all inside helps to keep me in check and prevents me from lashing out at anyone.

Damn, gotta work on that .

my worst quality would be my temper, i used to get so mad at things that i would punch a wall, knock doors off their hinges, stupid stuff like that. i still get angry once in a while, but now only curse instead of destroying things.
