Lesbian Toys

No, this is not about what you're thinking. ;) Or maybe it is... :glasses

It's been a bumpy, dark and stormy ride, but it's finally arrived...

The much antecipated doll that doesn't want a Ken in her life. Some of us have played with Barbie. But most of us would prefer to strap a dildo on Bobby and ride Barbie like there's no tomorrow. Well, you're an adult now and such innocent childhood fantasies can now be realized, and what better way to realize them than to have your own Lesbian Doll.

It's getting worldwide press, since I found the story and the link on a Brazilian news website. There's an article from the L Word website mentioning it too.

Meet Doc Holiday, Diesel Dike and Rockabilly:

The world's first series of lesbian action figures

Those little strap ons are expensive or are these dolls life sized? In any case...:laugh

Mrs. Cartman: Well, I know a little kitty who is sleeping with Mommy tonight.

I think it's funny. Diesel dyke looks rather femme. I say, save your money, get yourself a barbie, buy her ken's clothes and give her a hair cut! You think dyke dolls would come in more varied sizes :P

:lol

More varied colors, too. :rolleyes

And the strap on there scares me. That thing wouldn't work. Look at it. You wouldn't be able to move if you were wearing that thing. And...movement is sort of...the whole point...

I ain't droppin' 65 bucks on these things. At least not until they make some that look like the dykes I know, which none of these do.

But hey the strap-on looks like it could work with Barbie or even the 12" Willow doll.

Maybe this could be a new market. Sexual aids for your action figures and dolls. Up next the Barbie Butt-Plug!

This is a very interesting thread. Hmm. No comments on the Dyke Dolls or their toys. I just wanted to say that most of my Barbie dolls were lesbians. I didn’t really need anybody to tell me their sexuality, it was pretty obvious, especially Western Barbie. She decided early on that she liked wearing Wedding Ken’s tuxedo. (Which looked really interesting with her painted-on eye-shadow.) Shortly after that she chopped and spiked her hair. But the real tell-tale sign was the fact that she was always flirting with the other Barbie dolls. I had to spray her down with cold water a couple of times. She didn’t show much interest in Ken, except to challenge him to arm wrestling every now and then. Surprisingly, she even won a few times, which left Ken humiliated, and he refused to arm wrestle with her after that. I had a few straight couples too, and one gay male couple just to keep things interesting. I guess I thought everybody played that way. When I would play with my sister, I usually limited myself to two lesbian couples, because she didn’t think it was quite so cool as I did., and she hated Western Barbie with a passion.

lol. Those dolls are classic. $65 is an unbelievabe amount to pay for one though... and I only just realised that that's US$ too!!! So that'd be like $120 AUS.

Remembering back to my Barbie days, I'm sure all my Barbies were straight... but I'm kinda wondering if my Ken dolls were gay...

Hmm...

Those are funny, but insanely expensive. Though WebWarlock makes a good point about the Willow dolls...

It's insulting to the whole gender[sic] of rap.

That's highly amusing. We have an upcoming wedding for a couple of lesbian friends of ours...wonder how it would go over as a wedding gift? :hmm

And if they have toys...are the dolls anatomically correct?

Isn't that always the way? :lol

This lil baby butch was way too . . . well, butch, for Barbie (that is, for playing w/ Barbie. As a doll. Oh f*ck, you know what I mean! :p ). But I had a (IIRC) "Major Matt Miller" spaceman doll (complete w/ "moon base" :grin ), whom I totally ID'd w/. Also, I had a Snoopy in a space suit that was Just Too Cute (still have that one, and it's probably worth Big Bucks now :hmm ).

GG Yup, I think I fantasized that the MMM moon base was GG's swingin' bachelor pad! ;) Out

An action figure described as the world's first lesbian action doll went on sale in the US [recently].

Bobbie Doll is the first of the dolls from the DYKEdolls series to go on sale. The 12-inch tall toy wears a leather jacket, muscle T-shirt and a tattoo.

The dolls are the brainchild of New Yorker Stephanie Prod. The 36-year-old came up with the idea while writing her Masters thesis on the under-representation of lesbians in popular culture.

The DYKEdoll figures will sell for $49.95 (about £28) each. But only people over 21 can buy the full package priced at $65 (£37). It includes accessories such as tiny leather harnesses and miniature vibrators.

Bobbie - or Bobbie Rockabilly DYKEdoll, to give her full title - will launch on the dykedolls.com website along with her friends, Doc Holliday and Diesel Dyke.
