Digital Photography Thread

Postby Warduke » Wed May 07, 2003 2:39 pm

Since many Kittens seem to have digital cameras, I thought it would be a fun idea to have a thread where Kittens could share their digital pictures, those pics that you think are special and that other Kittens might enjoy, they can be about pretty much anything that you think others might find interesting.

Here are a few ground rules before we get started…

- All pics must have been taken by you, no pictures that you found somewhere on the net or taken by someone else. Because I want this to be a pics thread by Kittens, for Kittens.

- Pics of yourself belong here…Show Me Yours - pictures that is!

- Pics of your house/town/city belong here…The show us where you live thread

- Do not post the images directly, please link them instead.

That’s it, have fun Kittens and let's see those pics ;)

Trust me Garfield, you're not ready for that Celine! :rollin

But I do have the Falls from the city of Grand Falls, which is about 12 miles from here. It's not Niagara Falls, but still ;)

That's beautiful Brian. We don't get many waterfalls here, the Netherlands being flatter than a pancake and all. I still remember the the power of big waterfalls from the two times I have been to Norway 20 and 24 years ago, awesome. Btw, you are a boy most of the time, didn't anyone ever tell you that bigger is better? Blow up those pics man. :p

Brian, the falls were beautiful. They also looked very powerful – a whole lot of churning whitewater. I could hear them roaring. :)

And TaraManiac, the cow pics were very cute. :)

In my free time I volunteer at a wildlife refuge on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It’s called Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and it’s a mighty cool place if you’re into bald eagles and tons of geese and ducks in the winter. Here are a few of my pics from the refuge – the thumbnails lead to larger versions.

Scout, those are beautiful, especially the two landscape ones (I'm a big fan of landscape pics)

Thanks, Brian. I love landscapes, too. I’ve become hooked on those 360-degree QuickTime VR movies you find on the Net – the ones that let you spin around and see the entire landscape. Even though it’s just a digital pic, it’s almost like you’re there. Very cool. :)

Beautiful pics Scout and Brian. I too love landscape pics (Brian, and you were thinking we weren't meant to be, tssk.) especially if it involves water.

TaraManiac, hee, whoever could have thought that cows can be cute? I guess almost anyone can be made to look cute if they are turned into stuffed animals. Lookie here

Garfield, you crack me up. But you better keep your drunken cat away from her impressionable cows. One of them was clearly underage. :grin

Here is a picture I took of the sky this past fall. I thought it turned out kind of pretty. It isn't too often that you see a sky like that in oregon.

Wow, that sunset is amazing, the colors are unbelievable.

Great pic, I love sunsets. It's remarkable that a seemingly simple thing like a sunset can be captured a million different ways.

Ok, this isn't a thrilling photo at all, but I love my new ring, and this is a digital photo of it. And I swear I've liked amber-the-gem (as opposed to Amber the gem) for years. Really!

My new amber ring!

Pretty! Amber's gorgeous stuff.

Ha, there are some fun pictures in this thread. Some good ones, too. And such variety. I mean, we've got beautiful landscapes, stuffed animals with alcohol bottles, animals with fast food, rings. Oh, the sunset picture rocked. And the guppies with the Burger King. That's great. Okay. That's all.

Talk about a store selling specialized goods! So that must mean they have that sexy black leather coat Tara had on in Entropy. Excellent product! ;)

And Shinnen, I liked your bird photo. It reminded me of my sister's bird which had pink cheeks, so we named it Chink Peeks. Don't ask. :D

Thanks for the pics, all. :)
