I'll start with cockroaches, and the second half of Dia's post in the Things You Love Thread: "that I have a weenie between my legs that goes away when I tell it to".

SNAKES...large, small, dead, alive, real, fictional...they make my flesh crawl...and I think the thing I saw on Animal Planet about how a rattler's head can bite you for a half hour after it's been cut off, bears out my theory that they are evil

Death and Disease and germs and also about how quickly life can change, plus I HATE knives and violence.

Few things on this planet freak me out like moldy food. You know how it goes...you go into the pantry for a package of hotdog buns or something, and reach into the bag, and pull one out, and OHMYGODSITISGREENDROPITDROPITDROPITRUNRUNRUNAWAY!!!!

Well, I got the classic: SPIDERS!!!
If i get close enough to one (no matter the size) i WILL scream, and it's a big possibility that i will start crying. I've had my shares of panic attacks caused by these horrific creatures. The worst had to be when i accidentally ate one

Interestingly, I have always had a fear of losing (through theft, a fire or any other form of natural catastrophe), my long list of literature books, parchments and important letters from friends that I have preserved. They represent my school days, the development of a passion for linguistics and ultimately an acknowledgement of life goals.

Definitely scary.

But an acceptable loss if ever that happens.

The Adjunct Faculty Room at school, talking to teachers, losing everyone that means anything, getting majorly depressed again, my sister destroying herself in one way or another.

Eek, so true! Not sure if it counts as 'scary' but it gives me the creeps. Bleurgh.
