Evil Grandmother!

Postby MelCar19 » Mon Nov 24, 2008 9:40 am

:happy :happy :happy

So living with an evil grandmother, there are a few ground rules that need to be followed.

1. Never tell her you're not gonna rake the leaves today, she will tell you that you ruin all the holidays you go to and to not show your face at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

2. Never tell her you could do better on your own she must just try and test that theory and kick you out for a week.

And most importantly

3. Never EVER tell her you are going to your friends house, when you come home EVERY single Buffy comic you own will be ripped to shreds plus your Amber and Aly autographs. ( I cried)

Yup, I learned these rules the hard way.

Aren't Grandmothers suppose to bake you pies and cookies? Not rip apart your most prized possessions?

Anyway, thanks for listening to me rant.

I know how you feel. Well, sorta. I have an evil ex step grandmother. She told my mother to buy her own deceased mothers things at a house auction when the B*tch dies.

My grandmother's definitely not evil, and I love her, but sometimes the way she acts is extremely frustrating. She's always been big on guilt trips but now that she and my grandfather split up it's worse than ever. To me she is my grandmother, cause they got married before I was born and I never saw him without her, but she's not my mom's mom and my mom's loves her but it was never a mother-daughter relationship, and her dad's always come first. Now they're divorced and my grandmother's saying things about how she *thought* we were family, and complaining that none of us call her or go to see her. It's really frustrating, especially combined with complaining to my mom about how awful my grandfather is even though that's her dad.
I know it's nothing compare to Mel's grandmother, but it's not what you really want from a grandmother either. Definitely not warm and cuddly...

I hope, we'll have more happy ever after

My grandmother is judgemental, gossips too damn much, is racist and prejudice. I haven't seen or spoken to her in 11 years. Damn! I just realized that! She passed these traits to my mother. My mom raised me under these circumstances and yet it amazes me how I broke the cycle. I am like neither of these women and never have been. Huh? I just realized how in the hell didn't I turn out that way? It's not like I have any blood related family that has ever been in my life and I'm an only child. How weird! I guess I was born with a heart of gold! :D I should listen to people when they say that to me! Ha!

Both my grandmothers have passed on, one I miss very much and think of often, the other didn't speak English and since I don't speak french we never really had much of a relationship beyond her giving me cookies and hard candy when I was little...but I do have an evil mother

All the way through our wedding ceremony she stood there looking like she had vomit in her mouth and when we were taking pictures afterward and my wife stood beside me she looked at her and said

"Oh no, just the real family in this one." :smash

On my wedding day! And when we gave them a lovely framed photo of us together she looked at it like I'd just handed her a bag of dogshit and said
"What am I supposed to do with this?" :happy :happy

Plus after almost 2 years she still deliberately mispronounces Dia's name...grrrrrrrrrrrrr
Me: We met on the Kittenboard and now we're legally married
Amber: You guys!!!
Me:So, thank you for bringing us together
Amber: Oh yes, Aly and I will take credit for that

My mother is that evil, I feel your pain sweety *hugs* and if I get to Amber before you do, I'll get you a signed prezzie and send it somewhere safe for you to collect it.
