The most appropriate solution will be one that is in line with your personal context.
As mentioned in the posts above me, donating them to a library, finding a better hiding place or masking them on your bookshelf seem like pretty good ideas.
If there is good dialogue between one of your parents and yourself, try and find out the reason for which they wish to have your closet cleaned and ask them if they could offer you any ideas on where you could stock the things you have there. If you approach them by situating the problem from their point of view solely, there is a lesser risk of them interfering into finding out what you have hidden.
At a second level, if there is anyone in your family (cousins for example) with whom you could share this dilemma, brainstorm with them into finding where in the family home you could safely keep your books.
