i'm glad that Fox renewed it, but why did they have to move it opposite CSI :angry

I'm not stealing, I'm just taking things without paying for them. In what twisted dictionary is that stealing?

Hmmm... I guess I'll have to tape Tru Calling in one room and watch C.S.I. in the other. :sigh

More good news! :bounce :applause :pinky :sheep :D :dance :dumbo

In my last job, I worked second shift & could only so much of this show; it didn't help that 'Friends' was on because that's what people wanted to see. By the end of the season, though, 'Tru Calling' had become the show of choice. So congrats to Eliza and the gang.

I'm also happy to see TC is moving to 9: maybe it could be darker, sexier? :hmm

Here's an Eliza Q&A from Wizard World:

Quote:
From Wizarduniverse.com - By Michael Dolce - 2004-05-23rd

Wizard World Convention - Philadelphia May 21-23 2004

Eliza Dushku Q+A concludes and we’ve got questions straight from the audience

The audience was packed at full capacity in the Julius Schwartz room here at Wizard World Philadelphia and Eliza Duskhu, star of ’Buffy’, ’Angel’ and the new Fox show ’Tru Calling’ delivered. Here are a few of the great questions her audience asked her.

Do you like doing movies or TV shows better?

They’re different and the same if that makes any sense. You go really fast in TV, which a part of me really likes, but a part of me, your head starts to spin a little. But I really like both and I want to do both.

Are you happy with the development of your character ’Tru’ (in ’Tru Calling’)?

It’s been pretty cool because I’ve started figuring things out about her, things I have in common with her. I mean, I’ve played her for 8 months now and by the end [I can say] we’re really starting to get a cool character now.

How well do you get along with everyone in the cast of Tru Calling?"

We really, really get along so well. [My co-star] Zach, I hate him to pieces (laughs) but he is the funniest kid I have ever met in my life! We have an awesome love-hate relationship.

What did you think of the series finale of Angel?

Truthfully i really haven’t seen it yet. I’ve been doing all this traveling lately and I haven’t gotten a chance to see it yet. I ran into David (Boreanez) and we were hanging out and he seems in good spirits. I said that about the Buffy cast too and I know them as friends and I think they did an awesome job and gave it all for the fans.

Is anything in the works for a Buffy spin-off with you playing Faith again?

Not that I know of. (Laughs)

Why did you choose Tru Calling over playing Faith in a Buffy spin-off?

It was kind of one of those things where, the show was ending and I chose to do Tru Calling right now and who knows what the future holds, but I played Faith on and off for 6 years and I have mad love for the girl, but it was time to do something a little bit different.

How was it working with Jason Mewes for the first time [in Jay and Bob’s Strikes back]?

Yeah, the first time i met Jason, i was in my cat suit (from the movie) and I went up to him and we were talking about both being from the East Coast and he’s like,"Hey, I’m Jason nice to meet you - good rack."

not all good news I'm afraid.

Got this off the BBc cult Buffy board:

Well, maybe I can start watching Gilmore Girls again... :

And just when I was starting to really enjoy TRU.

That is great news for GG though. Maybe some happiness will be allowed back into the show next season now that a periodic blight has moved on.;)

Oh, you mean that other GG . . . :sigh

Seriously though, I'm not going to let the news of any particular hiring or firing (as long as it's not ED! :drool ) get in the way of celebrating Tru's renewal.

GG Doug Petrie already penned an episode of TC, and we survived that. C'mon folks, ME is dead: let it go. Of all the season/series finales I've seen this year, Tru's has been my favorite. Really looking forward to the new season! :banana Out

oK, that was funny GG. :D

As for the ME writers, I'm more open minded than most - I liked Wonderfalls for example - but I'm afraId JE's recent track record indicates this is ominous news for Tru Calling. But I will continue to watch, if you'll allow me to flinch a bit whenever I see her name in the credits. Fair enough?

The Season finale was good, but Charmed was just as exciting. I can't wait for the next seasons of two of my favorite shows.

Oh... GG, since you're being cast in your role, would you be offended if I accidentally drooled at the site of your character? :blush

This thread leapt out at me because I love Eliza. It was my... *coughs* admiration... of her that made me realise I was bisexual. Soooo... go Eliza? *giggles*

She's hot. Lips, voice, hair, curves, hands... everything. Hot, hot, hot. Hot doesn't even describe it. Did I mention she's hot?

Yeah. I love her. ;)

Oh and for any Aussies here, we are finally getting the first episode of Tru Calling here Friday June 11, channel 7 at 8:30pm. I got this info from BDU. And they apparently got it from the ebroadcast forums. I'm beyond excited. :D

I've seen every episode up to 'Reunion'. I must say that Tru Calling is amazing. It's the best show on TV and is one of the most original concepts I've ever seen. Lots pf movies/series use time travel, but how many involve going back just one day?

However, I'm not looking forwards to the arrival of Jack. From what I've heard, he sounds absolutely repugnant. I strongly hope that he will get some kind of 'come-uppance' in Season 2.

Yes, Jack is repugnant. He is there to try and stop Tru's quests to save people's lives.

Tru needs to do something about her father as well.

Re: Re:

Sorry to double post.

There's another thing I don't like about Jack (besides the obvious). I am concerned that every episode will basically be the same story, again and again. At least with 'stand-alone' episodes, you get a different story each time.
