I just want to add my thanks Susan for the transcript (I get SOD in the mail, but didn't receive it yet, so I was so anticipating this article, and now I don't have to wait any longer)! Really enjoyed reading their thoughts, and I think it's a bonus that they are such great friends in real life. Hopefully AMC will truly take the time to give this story-line a fair chance of succeeding. Thanks again !

way off topic but leo DIED?!!!!! i tuned in today for a second and caught the whole music video goodbye to our dear mister dupre. *sniffles* i liked him, him and greenela made a cute couple. but not that whole thing with laura... what's up with her? last time i saw the show binks had a crush on her.

Yeah, Leo fell off the top of a waterfall while struggling with his psychotic mother. They just had the memorial.



Laura almost died but didn't. She got a heart transplant and then went nuts and tried to ruin everyone's life. Bianca, thankfully, realized Laura was a mean nutjob and grew out of her crush. Laura went off to some place to get her act together.



Poor, poor Bianca. She needs a girlfriend.

I thought is was really sweet that right before the memorial, Maggie came with Erica to get Bianca and lend support. They were all holding hands as they left the boathouse and they looked like a family. It was great.

Well, people on soaps (and Sherlock Holmes) have been known to survive those falls over the falls. But if Leo does, he'll look very different. TV Guide said his contract was up & he left. For Bianca's sake I hope they bring Leo back from the dead.

I don't know if anyone caught the SOD article on the gals but I think it might be a good sign. I doubt that network would let them say the following with out some indication that they are testing the waters:



Digest: So many fans want a romance between Maggie and Bianca - and it's not every day that viewers ask to see a gay couple.

Riegel: We want it, too. I think Liz will agree that it would be an amazing storyline. It would be an important storyline.

Hendrickson: Definitely.

Riegel: Every single day, I meet a fan who has been spoken to personally by what they see on the screen. I realize what an incredible opportunity we have to show a real love between two women that really speaks to people and can promote tolerance and respect.

Hendrickson: That's one of the reasons that I took the role of Frankie. They didn't necessarily say that Frankie was going to be a lesbian, but they alluded to that fact that she could be. I felt that I could make an impact, and what better way to choose a role? I am more than willing to go that way.

Riegel: I would feel so safe playing a scene of intimacy with Liz. Not that we have any say!

Hendrickson: If we had any say in it, it would have happened a long time ago.

Riegel: But that's not to say that it won't happen, and when it does, I think the show has proven itself capable of doing the storyline in a very sensitive and positive way. Nobody could do it better than All My Children.



Then I saw the piece on Soapnet tonight where Liz is shown saying something to the effect that they look so great together they have to make us a couple. I believe soapnet is owned by ABC and unless they are "carrot dangling" I think we might have a positive teen lesbian couple down the pipeline.



Not that couples stay happy on soaps either but it's a hopeful sign I think.

Well at least AMC won't spend two years reassuring us that they have no plans to send the lesbian couple anywhere..they'll do what you expect a soap opera to do, no less, no more.....

I think the SOD article is a good sign; I have to agree that's it likely represents TPTB testing the waters for fan reaction. I for one would like to see Bianca happy, with ANYONE at this point.

They have a huge writing campaign over at Elizabeth Hendrickson's site Trying to get the writers to get them together.

Unlike ME they listen to their fans. EH came back becuase on fans protest when they killed her off. SO who knows.



Here's hoping during Nov. sweeps it will happen.

I've never really watched All My Children. The only two soaps I'm ever known to occasionally watch is Days of Our Lives and Passions. I specifically like Passions, though.

Yeah, this is normal. These lulls just happen. She doesn't really have a storyline at the moment. There was one time when she wasn't on for two weeks. This might be another stretch like that.

So, and this is just a wild guess, but I think there will be something up between the girls this week.

godness, i remember when sara came to visit they dragged out that afternoon for like two weeks. I used to tape it while i was at work or school and come back to have not even a single scene of Binks. quite frustrating but that's how they work.



i'm taping and then watching again this new development.



I have one question though... this is maggie, frankie's allegedly straight sister who was killed by vanessa cause she was blackmailing her, who tried to kill maggie too? right? wrong?

The thing I admire about AMC is that when they killed off Frankie, they got so much mail from the fans bitching about her death. So what did they do, they listened to the fans and brought back the actress that played her..Granted they didn't bring back Frankie, but at least they listened to the fans..

Maria/Maureen, who used to be a doctor but doesn't remember anything due to her supposed death in a plane crash, gave Edmund a tracheotomy because they had been in car accident and his windpipe was fractured (David talked her through it over the phone, so, descriptive, ew). Meanwhile, Maggie was happy that David and Anna got back together. She watched them leave with a wistful look on her face. She must have been thinking how great it would be if she and Bianca could be together in love like that.
