I have a question...



It seems some of y'all are hoping for Lena to kill Michael after the rape of Bianca. I would have to wonder if this thought doesn't fall into the Lesbian Cliché as outlined on this board. To me, the act of rape could be compared to murder in the sense that both are very violent crimes towards another person. According to the Cliché, "One of the most repeated scenarios is that one lesbian dies horribly and her lover goes crazy, killing others or herself." If Lena were to act out and kill Michael out of revenge for the rape, it would seem to fall right in line with this Cliché by Lena, the lover, acting out violently towards the person who harmed her girlfriend. Maybe this doesn't fall into the Lesbian Cliché, however. I was just curious. I couldn't imagine the members of this board cheering the bringing about of the Cliché.

I don't think any of us here want Lena to kill Michael nor do we expect her to.. but we do all want to see Michael dead..I am glad she's on tomorrow, though..Right now the show is making everyone in PV a suspect..

The new SOW has a calendar with favorite couples voted in by the fans.Lena and Bianca are on it. I think all the other couples actually get to appear on screen with each other at the same time so it's really quite an achievement.

If she were to take the gun and keep shooting innocent bystanders than that would mean she had gone insane and turned into a big old cliche.



As long as we don't live in a Utopia were people won't hurt, kill or rape their fellow man, then I can understand why in some cases a person would take the life of another and I would wish them to walk free. If Lena killed that guy, I'd would not think any less of her.



About 20 years or so ago in Germany -in a courtroom I believe- a mother shot and killed the man who had raped and murdered her young daughter. I believe she was actually sentenced to a longer prison term than he was. Sickening. That man would be walking the streets again today if she had not killed him and you can bet her daughter would not have been his last victim.



Anyway, I really don't want Lena to kill him. Not for his sake, but for her sake. I want him to be put behind bars and spend the rest of his life rotting away in a cell, preferably without either his hands or his balls.

I don't really want her to kill michael. However, they chose this terrible road and it's only right that michael die a bloody death and i don't care who does it really. My first choice would have been that bianca shouldn't have been raped. As far as lesbian portrayals AMC has blown it completely. This is not a show I would hold up with pride anymore. And I think it used to be so before this rape. The only reason I can still watch is because I wasn't that emotionally attached to it. Curiosity keeps me watching this nightmare now.

No I did not say that. I said that is she were to go around killing innocent people she would be insane, whether that would be one person or a 100. Michael raped Bianca, he is not an innocent. He deserves whatever the hell he is going to get. If he is not stopped he will do it again to Bianca or someone else. Either they should put him away forever or blow him away. Whoever does it is protecting his next victim as far as I am concerned. I would not be able to think of his killer as either evil or insane.

I don't watch AMC and I haven't really read much of this thread, but I thought I'd make a comment. My personal view from what I've read is that Lena's killing of Michael would fit into the Cliche somehow. I think a vengeful murder is a negative portrayal of a lesbian character that holds a place within the Cliche. Anyone can interpret the Cliche how they choose. This is one way I interpret it. Also, I can't see murder justified in anyway regardless of what the person did. It solves nothing. If anything, Michael should be in jail. It's not anyone else's place to enact justice. Another personal opinion. If anyone disagrees, then so be it. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions.

He might have said that he was Michael's brother just to stay at the hospital. I FF'd through much of the last few eps, but he's not. That's Ryan who use to be with Kendall and broke her heart.



Personally, I don't think Michael's dead at all. I think Erica and David gave him David's "special" drink and Michael will come back in about 3 months with no memory of who he is or what he did.

Ok I voted, but I am curious about something. The couples you can choose from are (in this order):



Bianca/Lena

Bianca/Maggie

Jack/Erica

David/Anna

Edmund/Maria



Except for Bianca/Maggie, the others are -or were up to recently- actual couples. Does it happen more often that they add a fanfic couple as well? I looked at the Bold and the Beautiful couples poll to see if that could answer my question, but we are 3 years behind here, so I don't know who is sleeping with who there now. Besides, judging from the fact that on that show everyone has slept with everyone else (except with a blood relation or someone of the same sex) at one point, that does not really help me.
