Go On

Postby Kessari » Wed Sep 19, 2012 7:05 am

Hey guys.

I was wondering if anyone has seen "Go On" with Matthew Perry?! He plays this sportscaster, who recently lost his wife and his boss sends him to a self-help group to talk about his loss. Leads to some funny, but also moving moments and scenes.
There have only been three episodes so far, but I really enjoy it. So, anyone who likes a good comedy with a good storyline, give it a try and share your thoughts. :)

I've seen it. Perry is indeed good, and the rest of the cast play off/to him nicely. It has some interesting similarities to "Anger", Charlie Sheen's new show, but is better done.

I'll stick with it for the time being.

Watched the first two episodes, it's pretty funny.

I think Matthew Perry's character pretty much takes on the 'Chandler' role, but hey, Chandler was funny...I feel like Ryan is what Chandler would act like in Monica died (as much as I'd like to break it away from Friends, the character definitely has the same feel, if a little more grown-up...sometimes)

I like all the supporting characters too...the a lady whose wife Patricia just died, and the woman with the cats...total stereotypes but still super funny, I think.

It's not the best comedy on TV at the moment, but it's definitely interesting viewing.

I'm enjoying this show. Yeah, it's basically Chandler-after-Monica-dies-and-falls-in-with-a-support-group-filled-with-weirdos but then who says that's a bad thing?

Of course, I'd much rather have Matthew Perry still teamed with Bradley Whitford in the didn't-last-nearly-long-enough (not to mention far-superior-to-30-Rock) Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip. But, you can't have everything.
