Love Actually

Postby willowsgirl » Sat Nov 29, 2003 1:08 pm

Hey kittens,

I just wondered if anybody else has seen the film 'love, actually' yet? I just got home from the cinema, and I loved it!

Ok, so Im a sucker for chick flicks anyway, but this one was especially lovely- I walked out with a huge smile on my face and tears in my eyes :lol

So what did anybody else think? I cant be the only one who loved this movie!

I've seen snippets from it and I want to go see it. Emma Thompson makes any movie worthwhile to watch, and this one seems like a really nice one.

Oh yeah, I loved this film, purely because of Keira Knightley who is just unbelievably beautiful. She didn't get nearly enough screen time, but when she was on she was oh so very hot! :drool

I thought the movie was great. I loved the Portugese woman and the English man they were just so damn funny. A few kittens have seen it. We commented in this thread :)

So, the day started and I knew my name and had my pants on. So far, so good. Yay.

Hey peeps, cheers to Puff for the link, sorry I didnt see that comment before. I was just on such a high when I got home that I had to star a thread! Know what u mean about the porteugese+english- hoe funny was the bit at the end when the villagers were following him? hehe.

Dr G, Emma Thompson is lovely in this film, her scenes were the ones that made me all sniffly and teary eyes...ina good way, I guess!

As for Keira Knightley...where do I start?!? Tho she's a bit younger than me, maybe I still have a chance ;)

Andrew Lincoln's cards to her were so lovely.

Awww, wanna see it again!

There were a lot of fat jokes.

It was a great movie, but Natalie wasn't fat.

I also felt a bit of deja vu with About A Boy. . . I mean, Hugh Grant. . . The big finale (kinda, dancing around spoilers here) had a few parallels. . . Yeah, it seemed strange to me.

Also, it reminded me of the Ani song The Arrivals Gate.

I went to see it with my family and Lost in Translation with my lover. . . I wish it'd been the other way around.

And I wish there'd been nice gays, goddamnit! Rather than heroin addicts and Elton John gags.

But yeah, I think I'm just bitter cos it's time for bed.

Yeah I have to admit that the prime minister/assistant story was my least favourite of them all; there is no way in hell that natalie was fat!! She was funny though, the swearing part when she meets him for the first time was really funny.:lol

The first time I saw this movie I really enjoyed it. Then every other time I watched it all the stupid fat jokes really got on my nerves. So lame. She obviously wasn't fat.

Emma Thompson is awesome.

Bill Nighy cracked me the hell up.

I think my favortie storyline was Jamie and Aurelia. Just because. Though the stand-in couple was cute too.
