New BRAVO series: Workout

I thought I would start a thread for this show because.. Im hooked on it!! It is a reality show about an openly lesbian woman named Jackie who runs a gym in Los Angeles. Has anyone else seen it? I think her girlfriend Mimi is absolutly obnoxious. My favorite trainor is Zen! Ok that is all lol

I missed the first ep (I'm sure I'll catch it in repeats, as Bravo is known to do every once in a while), but have been watching it ever since I caught the second episode.

I thought the episode with her very conservative mother was very interesting and thought provoking. Showed a different side of Jackie that I wasn't expecting.

I'm not too keen on any of the trainers, and I certainly can't pick a favorite.

I continue to be surprised by how intricate the show is.... it's certainly not just a reality show about a work-out diva. It's much more.

And as for Mimi.... I have no idea what Jackie sees in her. I would have dropped her like a sack of potatoes the first time she pulled that "cute" childish jealous crap. I have no idea how Jackie can find that cute.

Yes, Mimi is an absolute lesson to any of us lesbians that are paired with much younger partners. It's not always a wise choice. Mimi is selfish, bitchy, has SERIOUS anger issues that need many hours of therapy, her biting fetish makes me want to slap her around and unfortunately Jackie's trainers (with the odd exception of Erica), all need to fucking learn to act their age. If they had been ANYWHERE ELSE, their asses would have been fired. Period. Zen lost a lot of respect in my eyes when her dog shit on the balcony after she knew damn well no pets were allowed in the workplace. Peeler is a fucking joke that I would have LONG fired (and I hope to hell Erica tells Jackie of his mutiny plan...she deserves to know). Andre is just an idiot with no brain of his own. He just goes along with whatever harebrained scheme someone cooks up....same with Doug (and I SO hoped he was more sensible being the older gay man). I thought MAYBE Jesse might have some sense but no....he's just as shallow and stupid as the rest of her staff.

Why oh WHY does Jackie surround herself bloody fools?! I sort of feel bad about her desperately wanting her mother's acceptance (and I just love that she's a born again Christian...another nail in the coffin for them in my eyes...I loathe the lot of them). I hope she dumps Mimi on her spoiled ass and gets with someone more adult and mature. She deserves better.
