Just read on a G4 blurb that George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy novels are going to be adapted into a series by HBO. Each book will be adapted into a season's worth of episodes. I love this series and hopefully HBO will do it justice. Love to see the characters of Jon Snow and Arya Stark and will be interesting to see who gets casted for the parts. Sounds like HBO is doing this to compete with Showtime's "The Tudors" but who knows. Anyone not familiar with the series it is at times brutally dark and Mr.Martin pulls no punches with his characters. I'll update this thread as more news about casting and such comes out.

I could never get into the books. George doesn't really do it for me over Tad Williams and Ian Irvine, but I'm always up for a fantasy TV show providing they cast and script it right. But by the sounds of things the writing looks to be in good hands

Just as long as they don't try and make Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time uber-epic into a TV show!!!!
