Openly gay actress Sarah Paulson, formerly Harriet Hayes in Studio 60, is the female lead in Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas's resurrection of his previous series Cupid, which has just been picked up for midseason:

I rather enjoyed the "Cupid" series. Is Jeremy Piven going to be back as the lead?

I loved it too. No, Bobby Cannavale will be playing the lead--I don't know his work real well but he won a guest star Emmy on "Will & Grace" as Will's boyfriend Vince, and has also been nominated for a Tony.

Paulson will, as you probably guessed, be playing the part Paula Marshall had in the original.

I actually really enjoyed this show too and both of the leads were very good, especially Marshall. I suppose she is considered too old by Hollywood standards to play the part again. And Piven of course is busy these days. Have to check to see if that show ever made it out on dvd. After all they finally put out Birds of Prey recently, and I never thought that would happen.

Cupid's not on DVD as far as I know--I thought it might make it when Ron Thomas and Piven both started getting some attention.
