Hi Evy,

I enjoy the visuals you evoke in this poem. Especially,
I am stuck
between
our glances

That phrase just pulled at me.
Thanks for sharing,

I love poetry that can give one visuals with a modicum of verbosity. Your poetry is simple, clean. Very stark and you put us in the moment.

Well that was just neat.

I read over random snippets and This Label a couple days ago and was impressed. This Label just works - the "it read" repetition could have been, well, repetitious, but you used it sparingly and well.

snippets caught me for similar reasons - staccato little bursts of words, each verse a sentence more or less. Loved it, and thought it expressed the thoughts of those mornings incredibly well. (Sigh...)

So I thought I would check out more of your stuff and clicked on that first page of your thread. Wow - a whole different kettle o' worms. Your first poems are very full of feeling, but also very full of words.

As I jumped up the thread a bit it felt like I could watch you distilling down your thoughts. Haven't read it all yet - but also wanted to say I liked "Artist" and "Garden" quite a lot. Very spiffy to be able to see stuff from a broad time span - makes me like your current stuff all the more. Thanks for sharing.

Kieli: Thank you for the comments. I usually don't do clean and simple, mainly because I like heavy words/images too much, so thanks.

SJ: Thanks for continuing to read and post.

Barnabasvamp: Thanks a lot, I'm glad you enjoyed the poem.

Boschi: Thanks for stopping in. I often post poems that are very different in style, etc, and some that are too alike. As someone struggling to find my "perfect" form/voice, I'm happy to know that you've noticed and/or liked the ongoing process.
