another great edgey poem Beth. You know why I love you're poetry but this was very interesting and i can feel the real sadness and slight strain of anger behind it. Ant chance though that you may grace the board with my favourite poem.

Since you mentioned the "Inward Eye", I felt the need to read some of your Work.

When I was a little younger, I used to write poems myself, but never as good as yours (and never English ones btw *g*)



I can only second the other opinions. Your g/f is a lucky one and I guess you really are lucky, too. If you have someone who inspires you that much.

DW - Yes, one day my love and I will be together (location wise) full time, but for now we'll have to cherish the times we are and know that (not to be poem-dundant) we're never really apart.

Dwelling deep and desperate

Never seeing the end

Or the promise of light

Endless night stretching on

Unyielding and unforgiving

In it’s fervor to conquer

Squelch and hold it

Till it ceases to move

Or care if it can



Poking prodding pulling

From the outside to the in

And then back again

So many forces at odds

All wanting their part

Their portion, their pound

A puzzle torn scattered

Till there’s seemingly

No piece to be found



Rambling retching reaching

To grab and to hold

To pull in and see

The parts flying by

Light teasing at edges lost

Is it even possible

For it be found, held, seen

Pulled back towards light

Pieces no more, just peace
