Alrighty kittens, Karen and I were sending poems back and forth tonight that we had written, and we decided to post some of them on here.

Anyway, we will post them up as often as possible. It's pretty easy to write poems when you care enough

Soooo, I'm gonna end this and put my poem on here so Kare-Bear can get hers on.

I love your hair

I love your skin

I love the way you walk.

I love the way you hold me.

I love your soul

I love your courage

I love how you protect me.



I love your beauty

I love your smile

I love how you are mine.

I love your cheeks

I love how hard you try.



I love your intelligence

I love your mind

I love the way you think



I love your chin

I love your pride

I love how we’re in synch.

This Sky is Ours



I went outside tonight.

I laid on my hammock and stared at the sky.

I saw your favorite constellation and started to think.



This sky is ours. This sky is ours.



You’re so far away, but still I love you.

I look at each star carefully,

I name each one with a reason for loving you.

It seems I’m running out of stars.



This sky is ours. This sky is ours.



I remember you saying you’d teach me.

“There’s so much to learn,” you said.

Maybe you’re looking at our sky now too.

I always hope you are.

Every time I think about memories with you,

My heart seems to grow more.

I want the day when I can hold you in my arms.

I want to call you my own, in this lifetime and each one after that.

It’s now 2a.m. and I’m sure you are not awake.

But I still hope you are.

I want you to be awake, so you can see what I do.

I just looked up and saw a flashing light.

I think it was a shooting star.

I wished for you.

Always remember,

Like a child, I still believe in magic.

I believe that you will come to me when the time is right.

I’m still staring at the sky. I am praying for another shooting star.



I closed my eyes for an instant, just an instant.

Or so I thought.

I blink my eyes clear, and look to my right.

“My God, you’re really here!”

It wasn’t a dream this time.

You held my hand.

And we wished together.



I guess this time you were awake at 2 a.m.

I guess this time you were with me.

You leaned close to my ear.

You whispered to me the words we whispered to the stars.

“This sky is ours, darling. This sky is ours.”

Ok, well i figured since it's the next day and all, I would add another one up....my family is in town and I dont know when i will get the next chance to Anyway, this is just a short one I scribbled down.

I just recently had to do a poetry project. I had to make a book of at least 15 of my collected poems.....thats kinda what started Kare-Bear and me to write so many. But we still write them back and forth anyway soo.....here goes *hides under desk*

I stand there.

Stunned.

Speechless.

Amazed.

I almost faint.

If i were a rose

my love for you would be my beauty

of which it clearly shows.

And I would bloom only at a full moons rise
