Oh, duckies!
I love ducks - ever since I've been big enough to have a camera, I've taken photos of ducks (& squirrels too). So, yeah, I love the picture of the ducks :D

I love that first one too. :)

These pictures remind me of childhood family holidays - we always went for walks through forests & along rivers & things. I used to be an explorer and lead the way through forests, and I'd run off with my brothers through all the little short-cuts & hide behind trees & things.

Yep, these pictures conjur many happy childhood memories for me :)
Thanks sweetie.

Hugs

Aww Jea! I'm glad to have supplied you with childhood memories. :D

These pictures were taken last Fall on my employers property. They live way back in the woods. The kids and I like to go out and explore a lot...I always find something interesting to take photos of.

Those are some great pictures. The colour and lighting is very well done in them both.

I hope you post some more

That's how I get most of mine. Oh and what did I tell you?

I like the one with the ladder. That's something I would have definetly shot myself. I like photos that tell me a story. And woo hoo....I'm an inspiration.

Justin ~ Thank you. I liked the lighting in those two, myself. I'm not a great photographer...but on occasion I come out with something presentable. :lol

Barb ~ of course you're an inspiration! :D

I was going through some more of my photos when I found this one. It's a swing made of a wooden board and it is suspended across two tall trees. The kids (older kids) get on it and swing out across the creek. It's fun.

There is a swing similar to that by me. I just can't get the right angle to shoot it.
Very cool Emms. I'm impressed.

Hey Emms. :bigwave

Great pics. I can't stop looking at the first one (the one with the ladder)...don't know what it is about it. Are these scanned photos or digital pics?

Barb: Don't think linear. Sometimes the view from above or from below is the best angle. Ok, so you may have to actually climb the tree or lay down on some bugs, but the pic might be worth it. :D

Ok, so you may have to actually climb the tree or lay down on some bugs, but the pic might be worth it.

To use the swing, you have to take a long stick to grab it since when not in use, it sits in the middle of the brook. So laying down is not really an option. I've tried to climb one of the trees but since I'm very small, my height makes it difficult to get to a safe enough place to start the climb with the camera around my neck.

Jea ~ Yeah, it is fun. I'm too afraid to try it though... :lol I just like to watch the kids do it.

Barb ~ Oooo barb's impressed. :D I'd like to see a photo of the swing, if you take any of it. It can be hard to get an angle on something like that. I like the one I took though, because everything in the scene was so horizontal, it just seemed to fit to do it that way.

SJ ~ Thank you. :D

Ces ~ Thank you, sweetie. Everyone seems to like that first shot. I took another pic yesterday of a different ladder...I'm going to post it today.

That's a very good photo sweetie. :)
It's kinda like a magic ladder or something, a ladder that seems to lead to nowhere, but really leads to a magical land :D

I really wish I could visit the places that you photograph, they look so pretty.

Oh, you added more pictures whilst I was posting.
The creek looks so beautiful sweetie & Morgan's so cute with his little snail. :)

Heehee, you guys are quick. You replied even before I got all the photos up. :lol

Alex ~ Thank you! Though I have to say, I'm really not all that great of a photographer... very few shots that I take come out looking even slightly good.

Jea ~ Oh yes, a magical ladder! That would be fun... And like you said, it could lead to a magical kingdom...perhaps one with unicorns and dragons, and justin's castle! :D

ETA: I posted the one of morgan just for you, Jea... 'cos of his boots. :D They're ducks. :lol

It certainly doesn't look like it.

Hmm...again with me staring at a ladder photo. Maybe I'm developing a ladder obsession? I still can't figure that one out. I'm sure there's some deep seated subconscious meaning, but I'm just too hot and tired to figure it out.

Nice pics, Emms. :D

great pictures Emms,

The ladder, the lighting and composition on this shot are very good.

The creek, The thing I like about this one is the way you conveyed a sense of motion of the water.

Morgan, As has been said Morgan's a cutee. The composition of this shot is very good. There are two slight problems with the picture. One is it's hard to see what Morgan's holding. The other is he's a little bit over exposed. I'm not sure how much control you have over this with your camera but if the exposure had been a little lower then I think you would have gotten more contrast in the shot.

Sith ~ Yep Justin has a castle.. ;-)

Jea ~ I can try and find you some ducky boots in your size...but I can't promise anything :lol

DelWhicker (my little flying monkey :D ) Ladder obsessions are good. :p

Justin ~ Thanks. I know the one of Morgan didn't turn out perfectly (I think I was actually using a disposible camera when I took that shot...so adjusting anything is an effort in futility.) I just thought Jea would love his ducky boots. :lol

Ces ~ Thank you, darlin' ;-)

SJ ~ As always, Thank you.

Henny ~ Hey, it's not like I bought the ducky boots for him and then forced him to wear them! He liiiiikes them, really he dose :kdevil

Here's some new ones

Pond. I thought this photo was pretty cool, because I just happened to snap the picture as one of the kids threw a stone into the water and I was able to capture the ripple on film.

Image

And here's one of Stu and Emma (not because I think it's an astounding picture or something...I'm posting just because I think they are cute together. ) Stu is the calf and Emma is the goat. :D
