We'll have a Buffy signing with a bunch of the talent from the book, including the cover artists, the writers, and Cliff Richards, making his first ever San Diego appearance. There's a beautiful Buffy poster to be given away at the show, a massive blowup of Paul Lee and Brian Horton's Buffy #51 cover. The printing was great, and it's bigger than the posters we usually give out at the show. A real collector's item. (With handy ordering info on the back!)

I doubt Amber would do anything on Sunday. In 3 years, she's never been to the comic con on a sunday it's always saturday. Darkhorse hasn't announced it's signing schedule. She could be on it earlier.

Well, I realise that this questions are pretty dumb, and I apoligise about that. But, I thank anyone that can help me in advance.

Oh god how much does this suck. I have no work obligations totally free that weekend BUT my brothers birthday is wed. which means the trip we had planed to San Diego will be pushed back to next weekend. I would fly down and stay with my cousin down there but you have to buy tickets 7 days in advance, argh!

And if that wasn't enough next month I'm moving there.

Sorry i just had to vent. I REALLY wanted to see Amber. :-(

Comic Con is an annual event that takes place in San Diego. There is no way to tell who will be showing up for next year's con until it gets closer. (Amber wasn't even mentioned on a list until a few days ago for THIS year, LOL)



If Amber continues to write comics, she'll continue to be invited. And, chances are good that she'll show up (as she seems to for many such events).



I know it didn't really help you, but ... hope you got some info from it.

Best wishes to all the Kittens going to the Comic Con! I know those meeting Amber will do us proud. As for Joss, ask the hard questions, but be prepared for his usual evasions.



As an aside, can someone going to the con do me a favour and get me the phone number for Brick by Brick Design. I lost the number for their David Wong after I saw him at GenCon last year. He phoned me recently but I missed the message. All I know is that he lives in Sacramento, California and a Google/411.com search reveals nothing concrete. The convention is at the Convention Center, San Diego Airport is very small. You just catch a shuttle from the airport to either the hotel you are staying at or one of the hotels next to the convention center. Like the Marriott or Hilton.

Okay, it looks like I will most likely be at the actual con at least Saturday - which I'm very muchly looking forward to.



I should be fairly easy to spot, as I will most likely be standing next to xita and wearing very cool shoes. Or, perhaps, sitting in xita's lap wearing very cool shoes.



Of course, that's all news to xita. *waves* Hi, xita *G*



Here's a link to the San Diego trolley information ... if anyone is worried about how to get to the convention center, I honestly believe in my heart of hearts that the trolley is TOTALLY the best way to go ... because parking for the ComiCon is a nightmare.

Once you have arrived at the convention center, it's easy to find the con ... just follow the huge masses of people. If you happen to spot anyone dressed up like a Klingon, it just makes it that much easier. We don't usually get Klingon's in San Diego, so it's very likely they'll be going to the Con.



If anyone is taking the Surfliner (that's the Amtrak train) into San Diego (or, y'know, any of y'all live near a train station and say to yourselves "Hey - I'm near enough a train station, and I'm not doing anything this weekend - why NOT go to the ComiCon?"), there's a very easy trolley connection from the train station. HOWEVER ... you have to take the ORANGE line, which is across the street, NOT the BLUE line which is right next to the trains.



If you're staying at a hotel, look up the nearest trolly station near you (it's most likely the Mission Valley center station on the blue line, which you would take south to the Santa Fe Depot stop, then transfer to the orange line across the street at the American Plaza Transfer Station and take that to the convention center ... there's a HUGE mass of hotels in Mission Valley, so it's most likely that's where you're staying).



Also, it's been warm, but it does tend to cool down considerably nearer the coast, so you might want to have a light jacket or sweater near to hand.

Ok I was evil today and finally bought a digital camera. I have been threatening to purchase one for such a long time now. So I need to buy about 128MB of Smart Media to bring along with me. So depending on what I end up with memory wise, as I will have no access to unload the pics until I get back home, I will see what I can get in the way of pictures. But I should have some very cool pics from the con and maybe a few seconds of video.



Oh and audio too, almost forgot about the audio. I am ready and wired for this con.
