Xita, i just wanted to say again that i think you are truly awesome in creating this community and for having the courage to convey how deep the wounds go with regard to Tara's death and the debacle which was season 6...

Standing up for what one believes in is a sure sign of a principled and caring person, many hearfelt thanks to you as well as the other kittens who have taken Joss to task for his "story arc"...Kudos to all..

What I am lmao at is the expression on Frank's face. The determined little "I am not aroused, I am not aroused, I hope nobody notices, I am not aroused."

Yes, I can read his thoughts. I was raised with three dogs, a rabbit, two birds, three cats, and a pond full of goldfish. Not to mention the fact that my grandparents are professional dog trainers... I was born with the innate ability to know what animals are thinking... and what I said is what little Frankie-poo was thinking...

:lol

Friday Report 2/3

Postby Rally » Wed Aug 07, 2002 7:05 pm

Friday Report 2/3

So Dick's Last Resort, if you have never been to this place, it is quite an experience. The big factors for going to DLR is a) The Big Ass Beers b) Buckets o Grub. I am posting from work and the pics are at home, so I will just make a picture post tonight.

So we got a great waitress. Who was thrilled that we wanted to start out with the drinking. Big ass beers all around. We chatted and drank and eventually ordered some food. We were just having a blast hanging out and drinking and eating charred meat.

After several beers and a couple hours, I waitress yells at us from across the patio, "Shots! You guys need to do shots."

"Shots, what kind of shots?" I ask

"Lemon Drops, you guys wouldn't want tequila." she says.

"Tequila." We all agree.

"You guys are drinking good beer (RG and I were drinking Bass Ale, Xita was going with the Guinness), you need good tequila." she states.

So many beers and a couple shots of tequila later, what 4-5 hours we were there. LIttle did we know that while were lounging on the patio, that Amber was making her suprise appearance at the convention. Oh well, so much Amber, so little time.

Some conversations on the women's bathroom, tampons, how beer effects your boob size, lots of boob conversation. The boob conversation may have only been second to the many "Dick" conversations. So don't worry folks, no one was ready to go back to boy's town.

We were named customers of the day by our waitress. So now evil Rally kicks in the first of the convention, the waitress. So we had our bill and our cash ready to go, and I wanted to properly give it to the waitress by stuffing it down her shirt.

Well she was game, but then suddenly chickened out and ran off leaving us with the money. Alas that did not entail a free meal for us. She composed herself and came back and we starting teasing her about coming back to torture her on Saturday. She said she was only working that day, she only works one day a week. She then told us all about the new joint she was helping to open up.

We finally left and headed to off to go take a break at Xita's / RG's hotel and catch

some brief nappage and decompression before meeting up with Sass and NoveltyAct.

Our dear Rally is far too modest. What she has neglected to share with you all is that although her initial attempt to nestle our payment between the waitresses ample breasts did send the waitress scurrying off in a fluster of embarassment, the waitress did come back and was so charmed by Rally that by the end of our visit the waitress gave Rally her card so that Rally could be sure to stop by the waitress' new establishment.

I fully believe that was Andy being hopefull. The mention of Joss and the W/T announcement came from the Gay Agenda. This was a newsletter of all the GLBT activities at the convention which was in part assembled by Andy. I can get a scan up of it later. There was no official announcement from Joss, though he did mention once again about Amber coming back, schedule allowing.

This reminds me though, of some other things Andy said to me. I am not going to measure one way or the other the weight of his feelings, I am simply relaying them. He felt very strongly that Tara would be back, he felt it be related to in some way to Spike. He also mentioned that he knew in advance about Tara's death. But he found extremely horrifying. He didn't know about the shirt and really thought that was pretty gruesome.

And thanks to RG for some other tidbits from Fri at Dick's. With the help of the collective Kitten brain I may actually be able to recall everything I heard at this convention.

Someone on this board posted that someone on another board had posted that Joss said they were trying to work out a way to bring her back, something about a rumor she'll be doing alot of writing next year..I don't know, for sure, and I haven't heard anything since, which leads me to believe it was bullshit.. But I do wonder why the gay agenda group would have that sign up without getting their shit straight by talking to Joss first..

Andy while I was there on Friday said he felt she'd come back as a spirit. It seemed very speculative.

Tara's eyes once again found Willow's in the rearview mirror. "Don't worry. I've got your back.
And Jimmy Gorka's loss is my gain."         - Willow grinned.

Maybe Spike can take Willow to that cave in Africa, where she can then undergo some ritual where she can get Tara back, then Buffy will be so grateful to him that she falls in love with him for real, now that he has his soul of course.... And then the Kittens and Spuffers would all be happy...Hey, I know that sucked, but it wasn't as bad as last season's finale

Thanks again for everyone's reports from SDCC. I've been in kind of a dark mood for a few days and the tales of public drunkeness, boobs and, strangely, various varieties of Dicks, have helped brighten my mood.

Plus, I've recently become totally re-captivated with Rally's and Xita's avatars. They bring me to a higher state of consciousness. Or a lower one. Something. It feels good whatever it is. ;)

I thought someone posted to the effect that andy had a hard time getting access to ME/whedon and noxon for his interview

so if he doesn't have easy access to ME how would he have had definitive knowledge of tara's death prior to it happening? Was ME/UPN/FOX working the gay press as part of spin control before the fact?

and why is he so sure tara will be back as a spirit guide in spikes storyline?

has he been told this by noxon or whedon?
