Amber moments from Friday at the Con:
* There was a little girl (around 7, I guess?) and her Mom in line ahead of us. I couldn't hear the whole exchange, but the girl did tell Amber that it was her birthday. Amber came around the table and asked for a birthday hug and the little girl very happily obliged. She brought a few cards for Amber to sign, and the Inkworks folks gave her some free trading cards for her birthday. They spoke for a few moments, with the little girls mom reminding her of the things she wanted to say. Again, I couldn't hear the whole exchange, but it sure looked cute.
* Also ahead of us in line were a couple young women in costume. One of the costumes consisted of very little in the way of clothing. When they reached Amber she smiled, her eyes got really big, and she kept looking under the table she was at, trying to see their costumes below the waist. Again, I couldn't hear the exchange, but it was very amusing to watch.
* Finally, my group made our way to Amber. As usual, she was very sweet and personable. I asked her if she had any idea when the Chance DVD's may ship. She said the pictures and posters should ship soon, but they were still very busy duplicating the videos and DVD's. She had no idea it was going to take so long. I told her I was looking forward to seeing the movie and she said she hoped I wouldn't be offended by the language. I said "Shit no!" to which she laughed. I handed her a couple trading cards and asked her to sign them to Ang & Deb. She said "Ooooh...I get it" with a little grin. She then commented that we were wearing very similar shirts, almost identical, and wasnt' that cute (what can I say, after 19 years you start to look alike!).
Other con moments that may be of interest:
* When Hallie Berry took the stage during the Warner Brothers presentation, an announcer stated that she would be taking questions from the audience. Before anyone got to the mics, a woman yelled out - "Have you ever kissed a girl?" to which Hallie immediately responded - "Yes!" (Hallie looked really hot, btw).
* During the course of her Q&A, Angelina Jolie (who also looked really hot) mentioned that she's still friends with her ex, Jenny Shimizu. That two of her closest friends are a lesbian couple, and they have a wonderful relationship. Yes, she would be open to another lesbian role. And, while she appreciated the marriage proposal from the woman in the audience, she was a bit down on marriage at the moment. She had a lot of lesbian fans in the audience, and clearly enjoyed it.
Well, that's it for my report. If you haven't gone to the San Diego Comic Con before, you should consider it. It's really a blast.
