Oh, i just wanted to say in addition to all the wonderful kittens and Amber Benson, meeting Chris Golden was a higlight. I had lots of fun and he was downright cool. It was great meeting him and getting to chat a bit. Amber kept calling him a big hairy lesbian

Well wouldn't you know, I made it back home, some people will be disappointed about that.

I am checking out the videos I made and lo and behold, they actually work. Especially the sound is good which is sorta the most important thing of the Q&A. I will try and figure out how to transfer them to my comp and upload a few clips. I bought the damned camera a day before I left for NY so I still need to figure it out.

Well, I just wanted to say that I had a blast meeting the Kittens and hanging out in room 619. Meeting Xita, Garfield, ScifiAcid, Bytrsuite, TKHeaven, FunkyAsian, Urn of Osiris (and her rockin' sister-in-law!), Katydid, and lots of other people I'm so sorry I'm forgetting to name, was definitely the highlight of the weekend. Who knew pizza, All My Children, hundreds of flies and copious amounts of beer, wine and vodka could be so much fun?



Everyone has already said how wonderful Amber was, so there's not much I can add. In the brief moments I spoke with her, she was as sweet and kind and funny as ever, despite not feeling well. Seeing her is always a highlight.



The other guests were extremely nice, too. Of everyone, I saw James Marsters the least (which is fine), but he was very personable in the autograph line and wanted to know my name and repeated it back to me and shook my hand, etc. He signed a Chance poster for me and took the time to say that Amber's sister had designed it and how talented she was and how talented Amber was. I already knew all about the poster, but it was obvious he was trying to tell me something he thought I'd want to know, which I thought was sweet.



ASH was very nice and very funny in an intelligent, smart-ass kind of way. I saw him around several times and he always looked relaxed and friendly. I also want to give major kudos to him for being such a trooper at the VIP dance. He stayed until nearly the end and danced with people and pretty much made himself available to any and all who wanted to chat with him.



James Leary was a sweetheart and Christopher Golden was just awesome. Next to Amber, CG was just the coolest person there. He's very committed to treating gay people fairly in the media and has put himself on the line for his beliefs more than once now. I truly urge everyone to support his projects. He gets it and is honestly trying.



I also loved seeing Ghosts of Albion in its entirety. I think Amber and Chris have a really good foundation there and I hope they are able to continue it. Strangely, I think I liked Chance better the second time around. I liked it the first time, but the structure was a bit more apparent to me the second time and I caught some dialogue I'd missed before. Amber is very good with dialogue and I'm glad she's been exploring her writing more and more over the last couple of years.



Finally, Stunt Cocks was hysterical. I was happy for James Leary, because he said that the MR showing was the first time he'd ever seen it with a large audience. The crowd loved it and it was clearly meant a lot to him. So, good for him.



Anyway, I had a lot of fun despite the nightmares of the hotel and the lack of organization. Thanks again to all the Kittens I met!

Oh Chance was really great, it was better than I hoped it would be. I read the script two years ago and it was a great read, I knew the story but I had forgotten most of the jokes so those were all new to me again. I think Chance is probably a movie that has given me more laughs than any movie I have seen so far, many so called high profile comedy films that are out there do not even come close to it. I hope she will distribute it and unlike Taboo you get more than just a movie with great Amber moments, you get just a damned great movie all around.



Ghosts of Albion is much better when you can see it all at once instead of having to wait for the next part to load. I caught some great lines and details in the animation I had missed before and it felt more of a well rounded story after I had watched it all at once.



Chris Golden is such a nice guy and he and Amber really work great together, they have proven that over and over again. I hope they will continue to do so and it looks like they will.

So many highlights, so late to write them but here I go...



Watching every single guest embarass Cezanne the sign language woman for the talks was hysterical. Amber made her sign 'Spread beneath my Willow tree' and 'You make me come....plete.' many, many times. ASH had her do 'giving wood'. I learnt a lot of fascinating things to sign



Hearing Tony and Amber sing was something I'll never forget and my God Amber nailed the ending, it was bloody brilliant. It left me with shivers.



Watching GoA and hearing Chris and Amber's pride over it. Watching Chance and hearing James and Amber talk about it afterwards and James praise Amber as a director saying that 'this is just the start if her career' was great.



ALL of the talks I attended, particularly Amber's, James Marsters (my respect for him has grown immensly) and Tony Head who had the audience in stitches. Amber got a standing ovation everytime and was a huge hit.



Getting the opportunity to talk to Amber during the autographs (even with JCB breathing down my neck) and telling her the impact Willow and Tara have had on my life was something I was so excited and nervous about doing but Amber gave me a hug and she was...see this is the thing. Amber is beyond description.



Getting a kiss from Chris Golden who's a big hairy lesbian and thanking him for his involvement in the Trevor auction was so cool.



Meeting some wonderful, friendly people and hearing their funny and amazing stories (Chris, Kate, Tracy, Tanya, Janice, Lynn and Elaine) here's to making dinner and breakfast a great experience as the food sure didn't. And meeting loads of other kittens.



Having Amber recognise me after 2 years. Hearing her wonder how I could remember interviewing her and having the guts to ask for another brings me to my biggest highlight which was her saying yes. She's just. Well she's amazing. And so in the next few days (hopefully) a new kitten interview should be posted. Hopefully we asked worthy questions.

I must admit that I had fun at this event only because the wonderful Kittens are inspirational and most of the others I met were happy to share their horrors.



I went to the RPG demonstration and although I was lost most of the time it was fun. Brad you are the coolest guy. We loved meeting you and your beautiful family. The Magic box book is fantastic.



I have to keep focusing myself because I slip into rant when the events run through my memory. *thinks happy thoughts*



Chance was fantastic. I loved it and wished I could have taken a copy home. One of the few thing I purchased that actually paid off. *thinks happy thoughts*



and I also took group kitten pictures and oddly enough I can't see Garfield's face. What's up with that?

I had a blast too, hanged out with Kittens gave me a good time and Amber is always nice. I saw two drunk Kittens drag a totally drunk Kitten back to room from bar at 2:00 am and even they were drunk they still cute!!!
