hey all,





I've sent an e-mail to jealous events asking for some answers in the way they have handled all this cause i think they have some explaining to do and to find out what is going on with all this will let you know if i get a reply but not holding my breath as this is the second e-mail i have sent them and I'm still waiting for a reply on the first



I'm upset that i wont be getting to meet amber



but I'm glad she is working and wish her the best with everything and that she is hoping to come to Europe soon!

T Maclay - Yep I think you're right, they must be ignoring an awful lot of people! I've just noticed that there is now a short statement on The Essence of Amber Board saying "Amber does not have any events scheduled in Europe and that there will not be a European Tour with Jealous Events". I wonder when J.E. will finish updating their site?

Yeah I'm pretty pissed off, as they have posted my email quote in their thread saying that she wont be going, I've told them to remove it, but I doubt they will. I have edited it out of this thread now, as I dont want it happening again, and Im sure most people have read it here.

I e-mailed them 4 days ago and i've still got no reply and this is the second time I've e-mailed and they didn't reply to the first one huh so much for public relations



but i noticed too that they still have Amber up on the website

just wondering when they are planning on doing the proper thing of telling people what most already know, that Amber is not going to be there and maybe apologizing for the bullcrap they have spun to people got a feeling will be waiting a long time for that if the response to the e-mails is anything to go by



but if by some chance they do decide to write back will put up what they reply

just recieved a reply from jealous events here is what they had to say.....





" we apologise for no response but when we set up our new look site we have not been recieving our emails.we apologise for the late reply.Amber Benson will not be attending the David Boreanez event,this is due to her new filming role.she was contracted to attend and did sign contracts with us.we apologise for the inconveince caused and we look forward to seeing you at the event.Tickets will be sent out on 8th August and you should recieve the sometime the following week.

Regardless of how Jealous Events makes it sound. Amber did not break her contract with them. If she signed a contract, these kinds of contracts typically have a claus that allows an actors to opt out for professional work. Speaking of professional, that is something that Jealous Events has not been. They kept the Amber notice up and misrepresented the issue as a reconstruction of their web site. I hope Amber thinks twice before considering another Jealous Events con after the ill treatment they have given her reputation. Actors do cons for nominal fees to reward their fans. This is a poor reward for Amber who has always been willing to do con appearances.

i tried to reply to the email cause i wanted to point out some things to them, that i thought were unprofessional with how they have handled all this but my emails are not getting through and it is saying their email address is over their quota.

Confused now! I've read about this message from Amber and I've looked at the 'Essence of Amber' site and I don't see any ref to it anywhere... is there another 'official' site somewhere that I'm missing?!

The fault is entirely with Jealous Events for not confirming Amber's appearance before plastering all over their web site, for making it look like it's all Amber's fault and for their unprofessionalism in refusing to give people the correct information. Amber is one of the most active BTVS actors in cons and is always gracious to her fans. I remember a con that promised Amber without confirming and had to cancel when angry fans pulled out. I hope that Jealous Events has a real hit in attendees. Their behavior has been even worse. It seems to me that alot of the fun has gone out of cons.

I really can't believe that this is still happening, they are STILL advertising that Amber will be at this con...utterly appalling. People have purchased tickets based on this ficitious information and I guess they still could be ,plus people probably won't be able to get any sort of refund...I think this must be illegal ? I'm thinking that this is now pretty much a job for a lawyer.





One tiny suggestion maybe to have a little Kitten gathering in Brighton at this time as a sort of compensation ? or would that be too complicated or too short notice ?

Hey people !. Yep it would be good to arrange something. I can make any day over the con period as I kept those days free....but luckerly didn't buy a ticket. So we could just fix a place, day and time I guess ?. It'll be a very small compensation but it would be great to meet a few kittens. I was in Brighton yesterday.(Nix 42 how is your 'hamster poo' tattoo ? mine is great ! )..it's such a cool place.

i got my ticket the other day (and i would have been jumping round the room like crazy if i was going to the convention that they advertised originally but after the crap they have pulled opening it was about as exciting as watching paint dry sorry just needed a moan )

ok back to what i was going to say yeah so i look at my ticket to see that TARA is on it and i thought well what more would i expect from them

Ok, I guess there may not be that many takers for this now but here goes - I have a gold ticket for Saturday which I am happy to give away to anyone who may be interested. I was toying with the idea of going but my Mum is not well at the moment and has to go into hospital this weekend so that's kind of put everything into perspective. I really don't want anything for it, it may suit someone who is meeting some kittens in Brighton but doesn't have a ticket for the event. Two days to go and these idiots are still showing Amber as attending. I pity the poor people who turn up expecting to see her. I doubt they would tell anyone if DB himself failed to show - at least not until the day.

oh it keeps getting better and better one of the other guests cancelled over a week ago and up until two days ago(ish) they were saying they were still going to be attending, so no surprises that Amber is still up on the site



oh and Amber's replacement was announced (for anyone going) a guy name Mark Lutz i haven't heard of him thought they could of at least got someone to match Amber's stature ........ oh wait no-one could!!!!
