Ok you know I am too much into W/T when I am reminded of them when I hear cheesy 80's metal power ballads!

But anyway here it is.

Steelheart - "Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes)"

Angel eyes

You have angel eyes

Such a smile that lights up my life oh

You're a dream come true

Now I'm holding you

And I'll never, never let you go

I will never let you go

First time I laid my eyes upon you

All my dreams were answered

First time I kissed your tender lips

My love to you I surrendered

I'll never let you go

You're always on my mind

You're the only one for me

You're all I need

And I'll never, never let you go

Angel eyes

My heart relies

On the love you give to me

You never let me down

You're always by my side

And I'll never, never let you go

I will never let you go

When my heart starts to crumble

And the tears start to fall

You hold me close with tender lovin'

And give me strength to carry on

I'll never let you go

You're always on my mind

You're the only one for me

You're all I need

And I'll never, never let you go

I'll never let you go

You're always on my mind

You're the only one for me

You're all I need

And I'll never, never let you go oh ooh

And I'll never, never let you go

Thought of another one...

Shining Light by Ash

Roman candles that burn in the night

Yeah, you are a shining light

You lit a torch in the infinite,

Yeah, you are a shining light

Yeah, you light up my life

You have always been a thorn in their side,

But to me you're a shining light

You arrive and the night is alive

Yeah, you are a shining light

Yeah, you light up my life

We made a connection

A full on chemical reaction

Brought by dark divine intervention

Yeah, you are a shining light

A constellation once seen,

Over Royal David's City

An epiphany you burn so pretty

Yeah, you are a shining light

You are a force, you are a constant source

Yeah, you are a shining light

Incandescent in the darkest night

Yeah, you are a shining light

My mortal blood I would sacrifice

For you are a shining light

Sovereign bride of the infinite

Yeah, you are shining light

Yeah, you light up my life

We made a connection

A full on chemical reaction

Brought by dark divine intervention

Yeah, you are a shining light

A constellation once seen

Over Royal David's City

An epiphany you burn so pretty

Yeah, you are a shining light

These are the days you often say

There's nothing that we cannot do

Beneath a canopy of stars

I'd shed blood for you

The north star in the firmament

You shine the most bright

I've seen you draped in an electric veil

Shrouded in celestial light

We made a connection

A full on chemical reaction

Brought by dark divine intervention

Yeah, you are a shining light

A constellation once seen

Over Royal David's City

An epiphany you burn so pretty

Yeah, you are a shining light

Yeah, you light up my life

Yeah, you are a shining light

Yeah, you light up my life

I was gonna say Sarah McLachlan's "Possession", but it's been said already bye Liz (willow420).

Suddenly, just thinking about Tabula Rasa, I was reminded of Celine Dion's "Think Twice"...

Think twice

Don't think I can't feel there's something wrong

You've been the sweetest part of my life so long

I look in your eyes, there's a distant light

And you and I know there'll be a storm tonight

This is getting serious

Are you thinking 'bout you or us

(chorus) Don't say what you're about to say

Look back before you leave my life

Be sure before you close that door

Before you roll those dice

Baby think twice

Baby think twice for the sake of our love, for the memory

For the fire and the faith that was you and me

Baby I know it ain't easy when your soul cries out for a higher ground

'Coz when you're halfway up, you're always halfway down

But baby this is serious

Are you thinking 'bout you or us

(repeat first chorus)

(breakdown)

Baby this is serious

Are you thinking 'bout you or us

Don't say what you're about to say

Look back before you leave my life

Be sure before you close that door

Before you roll those dice

Don't do what you're about to do

My everything depends on you

And whatever it takes, I'll sacrifice

Before you roll those dice

Baby think twice

Am not ashamed to admit that I actually cried last night when listening to the following Tracy Chapman song:

Devotion

If I am right

If I can be

Constant and faithful

You'll find me

In my devotion

In my devotion

What if you find a fault

Between my purpose and my deeds

And deem me beyond salvation

Judge me to be unworthy

Of your devotion

Of your devotion

If this be obsession deliver me

A passing infatuation deliver me

A feeling lacking in purity deliver me

A test of fidelity deliver me

Deliver me

Deliver me

What if I should find

You're no good for me

What if I can't be strong enough

What if I can't break free

Of my devotion

Of my devotion

Adding up the total of a love that's true, multiply life by the power of two

Could It Be Any Harder by the Calling, it made me cry, especially with what happened on last nights ep.

"Could It Be Any Harder"

You left me with goodbye and open arms

A cut so deep I don't deserve

You were always invincible in my eyes

the only thing against us now is time

[Chorus:]

Could it be any harder to say goodbye and without you,

Could it be any harder to watch you go, to face what's true

If I only had one more day

I lie down and blind myself with laughter

A quick fix of hope is what I'm needing

And now i wish that i could turn back the hours

But i know i just don't have the power

[Chorus]

I'd jump at the chance

We'd drink and we'd dance

And I'd listen close to your every word,

As if its your last, I know its your last,

Cause today, oh, you're gone

[Chorus]

Like sand on my feet

The smell of sweet perfume

You stick to me forever,baby

and I wish you didn't go,

I wish you didn't go

I wish you didn't go away

To touch you again,

With life in your hands

It couldn't be any harder

Sweet goddesses, you guys have such good taste ! :) I have a question for willow420 though. Since Sarah McLachlan is my favourite singer-songwriter and most songs could apply for Will and Tara, I wanted to know if the following was just wishful thinking from my part or not. In the song Possession, doesn't she sing "voices trapped in yearning, 'embers' trapped in time" (instead of 'memories' trapped in time). ember-Amber: maybe it's just me hearing silly associations /chuckle/ Anyway, most songs I used to make Xena musicvideo's could be used for Tara too (I'll look up some lyrics). Think my next project during the holidays is gonna be a W/T one. "Every little thing she does is magic" by the Police (also have the Shawn Colvin-version) strikes me a bit as too obvious. It's gonna be a toughie, since with W/T you don't have any restriction. If the word 'television' 's in the lyrics, I couldn't really use it for Xe, but W/T snuggling in front of the tv, watching some documentary: there ya go :) Cool thread.

Actually...after seeing the clips from Seeing Red... especially the naked-sex-cuddlin'-n-kisses scenes I have only one song that I can't get the hell out of my head nor can i get the scene out of my head and the tingly feeling when Tara kisses Willow.

Note the song in the chorus and the second paragraph onwards. *imagining Willow and Tara during the time in between the Entropy kiss and beginning of Seeing Red*

"Dress You Up" - Madonna

You've got style, that's what all the girls say

Satin sheets and luxuries so fine

All your suits are custom made in London

But I've got something that you'll really like

Gonna dress you up in my love

All over, all over

Gonna dress you up in my love

All over your body

Feel the silky touch of my caresses

They will keep you looking so brand new

Let me cover you with velvet kisses

I'll create a look that's made for you

Gonna dress you up in my love

All over, all over

Gonna dress you up in my love

All over your body

Gonna dress you up in my love, in my love

All over your body, all over your body

In my love

All over, all over

From your head down to your toes

Bill Withers - Ain't no Sunshine Think of Tough Love, Tabula Rasa and Seeing Red

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

It's not warm when she's away

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

and she's always gone too long

Anytime she goes away

Wonder this time where she's gone

Wonder if she's gonna stay

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

and this house just ain't no home

anytime she goes away

And I know, I know...

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

Only darkness everyday

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

and this house just ain't no home

anytime she goes away

Songs that Remind Us of W/T

Postby DarkWiccan » Wed May 08, 2002 11:19 am

Kay, so I know I posted this in a thread on the spoiler board... but in all fairness i posted the "sad" version of this song... so here I'm going to post the "happy", cuz I think we need all the happy we can get

From the Jon Larson musical RENT Act 1

"I'll Cover You"

Live in my house

I'll be your shelter

Just pay me back

With One Thousand Kisses

Be my lover

And I'll Cover You

Open your door

I'll be your tenant

Don't got much baggage

To lay at your feet

but sweet kisses I've got to spare

I'll be there and I'll Cover You

I think they meant it

When they said you can't buy love

Now I know you can rent it

A new lease you are, my love

On life

Be my life

Just slip me on

I'll be your blanket

Where-ever, Whatever

I'll be your coat

You be my king

And I'll be your castle

No, you'll be my queen

And I'll be your moat

I think they meant it

When they said you can't buy love

Now I know you can rent it

A new lease you are, my love

On life

All my life

I've longed to discover

Something as true as this is

So with a thousand sweet kisses

(if your cold and your lonely) I'll cover you

With a thousand sweet kisses

(you've got one nickel only) I'll cover you

(With a thousand sweet kisses)

When your worn out and tired (I'll cover you)

(With a thousand sweet kisses)

When your heart has expired(I'll cover you)

Oh, lover!

I'll cover you!

Oh, lover!

I'll cover you!

Cheers :grin

I was actually listening to my RENT cds the other day, and I was just gonna post that, but you beat me to it. Hm...here's another song that reminds me of W/T. It's called "This Way" by Jewel.

Love be still, love be sweet

Don't you dare change a thing

I want to photograph you with my mind

To feel how I feel now...all the time

Say that you'll stay forever this way

Forever and forever that we'll never have to change

Don't move, don't breathe

Don't change, don't leave

And promise me

Say you'll stay

Oh, we'll stay this Way

I get afraid

I don't think ahead

Let's just stay this way in bed

Feels so good inside your arms

Home is everywhere that you are

(Chorus)

Don't move don't breathe

Don't change don't leave

Promise me we'll always be

The sky 's so sweet

It's good to me

Promise me we'll always be

(Chorus)

---------------------------------------

"Hey, Will, this is me. It doesn't have to be all good and fine. This is the room you don't have to be brave in. I still love you. If you're worried, you can be worried"

Oeh, I just recently bought Jewel's CD "This Way". Next to that song "Break me"'s also beautiful. Anyway, I've downloaded the end of Entropy and Seeing Red today, because I'm too damned curious to wait for the 6th season that will start airing in September in Belgium. Afterwards I stumbled upon the song "Dark Wings" by Within Temptation (CD: Mother Earth) which seemed extremely fitting for Seeing Red, the whole season, and maybe even somewhat visionary for the 7th...(hopefully) I'll use some SPOILERspace, just in case...

Come What May from the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack

Never knew I could feel like this

Like I've never seen the sky before

I want to vanish inside your kiss

Every day I'm loving you more and more

Listen to my heart, can you hear it sings

Telling me to give you everything

Seasons may change, winter to spring

But I love you until the end of time

Chorus:

Come what may

Come what may

I will love you until my dying day

Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place

Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace

Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste

It all revolves around you

And there's no mountain too high

No river too wide

Sing out this song I'll be there by your side

Storm clouds may gather

And stars may collide

But I love you until the end of time

Chorus

Oh, come what may, come what may

I will love you, I will love you

Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place

I actually made a cd of songs that reminded me of W/T. I wrote a little summary that might be from willow's POV. If you read it closely, you'll see the songs within the sentences. A cool idea I borrowed from my friend, Amy.

Dear, the first time I saw you, you made my heart Sway. I knew I loved you. I needed to Make You Near me Always. All I can say is I can’t take my eyes off you. Now That I found you I’ll never let you go. I need to be next to you. I know you love me too. I can feel it in your touch. I can hear it even When you say nothing at all. But I screwed up. I was blind to what I was doing to you, and you left me. It was hard to say Goodbye to you. I had a hole in me Where I used to have a heart. But I changed, and I knew I could Wait for you. It’s all I could do because I needed you Here with me, and I knew You were meant for me. And you did come back to me. Babe, I just want you to know that I’ll Stand by you no matter what. I always have and always will. Now that I have you back, I won’t lose you again. I’ll Hold on to our love forever.

Sway - Bic Runga

I Knew I Loved You - Savage Garden

Make You Near Me Always - Jewel

I Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Melanie Doane

Now That I Found You - Alyson Krauss

I Need To Be Next To You - Leigh Nash

When You Say Nothing At All - Alyson Krauss

Goodbye To You - Michelle Branch

Where I Used To Have A Heart - Martina McBride

Wait - Sarah McLachlan

Here With Me - Michelle Branch

You Were Meant For Me - Jewel

I'll Stand By You - The Pretenders

Hold On - Sarah McLachlan

"Hi, um Tara. I was wondering maybe you want to go out some time for coffee? food? Kisses and gay love?" - Willow - 'Normal Again'

"I know you had to go away, I died just a little..." - Michele Branch, 'Here With Me'

Lovesong by the Cure.

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am home again

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am whole again

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am young again

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am fun again

However far away

I will always love you

However long I stay

I will always love you

Whatever words I say

I will always love you

I will always love you

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am free again

Whenever I'm alone with you

You make me feel like I am clean again

However far away

I will always love you

However long I stay

I will always love you

Whatever words I say

I will always love you

I will always love you

The Pretenders, I'll Stand By You

Love,Why you look so sad?

The tears are in your eyes

Come on and come to me now

But don't be ashamed to cry

Let me see you through

Cause I've seen the dark side too.

When the night falls on you

You don't know what to do

Nothing you confess could make me love you less

I'll stand by you

I'll stand by you

Won't let nobody hurt you

I'll stand by you

So,

If your mad, get mad

Don't hold it all inside

Come on and talk to me now

But hey, what you've got to hide

I get angry too

But I'm a lot like you

When you're standing at the crossroads

Don't know which path to choose

Let me come along

Cause even if your wrong...

I'll stand by you

I'll stand by you

Won't let nobody hurt you

I'll stand by you

Take me in into your darkest hour

And I'll never desert you

I'll stand by you

And when,

When the night falls on you baby

Your feeling all alone

Walking on your own

I'll stand by you

I'll stand by you

Won't let nobody hurt you

I'll stand by you

Take me in into your darkest hour

And I'll never desert you

I'll stand by you

I'll stand by you

Won't let nobody hurt you

I'll stand by you

Won't let nobody hurt you

I'll stand by you

I'll stand by you

Won't let nobody hurt you

Coming out of lurkerdom here. Just a song that struck me as being right for Willow and Tara: one of the main themes from Crouching Tiger, called "A Love Before Time" ... also in the movie in a instrumental form as "Eternal Vow". Just seems to fit somehow.

If the sky opened up for me,

And the mountains disappeared,

if the seas ran dry, turned to dust,

And the sun refused to rise

I would still find my way

By the light I see in your eyes.

The world I know fades away

But you stay.

As the earth reclaims its due,

And the cycle starts anew,

We'll stay, always

In the love that we have

Shared before time.

If the years take away

Every memory that I have

I would still know the way

That would lead me back to your side.

The North Star may die

But the light that I see in your eyes

Will burn there always

Lit by the love we have

Shared before time.

When the forest turns to jade,

And the stories that we've made

Dissolve away

One shining light will still remain.

When we shed our earthly skin,

And when our real life begins,

There'll be no shame

Just the love that we have made before time.

A couple of my many faves that reflect W/T

Postby Kieli » Fri May 10, 2002 6:03 pm

I was in the mood for Jeff Buckley for some reason today, and just listening to "The Last Goodbye" damn near drove me to tears. And since everyone has just started recognizing that total coolness that is Alison Krauss & Union Station, here's a song by them called Looking in the Eyes of Love that just screams Willow and Tara:

LOOKING IN THE EYES OF LOVE

I wonder should I tell you

About all the crazy things I've ever done

I've been searching all my life

And when I should have stayed

I tried to run

I was searching for an answer

In a world full of strangers

But what I found was never real enough

Now that I've found you

I'm looking in the eyes of love

Darlin' you've been too good to me

You are so much more than I deserve

I never thought that I would find

Someone who's sweet and kind like you

Please believe me when I say

This time I won't run away

I swear by all of Heaven's stars above

Now that I've found you

I'm looking in the eyes of love

Looking in the eyes of love I can see forever

I can see you and me walking in this old world together

Lord my heart's found a home

I've been dreaming of

Now that I've found you

I'm looking in the eyes of love

I can put this song in .mpg or .wmv form on my website for downloading if anyone wants to hear it.

Displaced by Azure Ray

The song played in "Seeing Red" and now im like obsessed with it.

it's just a simple line

i can still hear it all of the time

if i can just hold on tonight

i know that nothing nothing survives nothing survives

i think i'm turned around

i'm looking up

not looking down

and when i'm standing still

watching you run watching you fall fall into me

then i make it something worthwhile

i am displaced

and i make it something worthwhile in this chase

i am displaced i am displaced

and she's my friend of all friends

she's still here everyone's gone

she doesn't have to say a thing

we'll just keep laughing all night long all night long it's just a simple line i can still hear it all of the time

if i can hold on tonight i know that no one no one survives

no one survives

"If I know what love is, it is because of you."

once upon a year gone by she saw herself give in, every time she closed her eyes she saw what could have been, well nothing hurts and nothing bleeds
when covers tucked in tight,
funny when the bottom drops how she forgets to fight... to fight

How about "A Case of You" I like the Tori Amos version on the Austrailian Tour Edition 2 Cd set of Under the Pink.

"Oooh, I'm a lonely painter, I live in a box of paint.

I'm frightened by the devil, and I'm drawn to those who ain't...afraid.

I remember the time you told me love was touching souls,

Surely you touched mine,

Cos, part of you pours out of me in these words from time to time.

In my blood,

my holy wine,

you taste so bitter, bitter and so sweet,

well I could drink a Case of You darling,

and still be on my feet." - Originally by Joni Mitchell/case of you

Or what about...Well any Sarah McLachlan song fits.

"Sweet Surrender"

"It doesn't mean much, it doesn't mean anything at all.

The life I've left behind me is a cold one, who are you?

Are you an angel? Am I already that gone? I only hope that I won't disappoint you. And I'm out here on my own.

Sweet Surrender is all that I have to give."

"Possession" of course !!!

Or

"Witness"

"Make me a witness, bring me out, out of darkness, out of dark.

I won't weigh you down with good intentions,

bury the weight(?) and die for the cause.

Will this misery, be made beautiful right before our eyes?

Mysteries be revealed, blind eyes will they see?

Will we burn in heaven, like we do down here,

will the change come while we're waiting,

everyone is waiting." - poigniant after Tara's death

"Velvet by A-ha"

"Her skin is like velvet, her face cut from stone,

her eyes when she's smiling,

I know I'll never reach home, but hear how she sings.

Hear how she sings." - About Tara of course. *sniffle, sniffle*

Right now every thing reminds me of them. Everything. Bah. Pffft. *sniffle*

Indigo Girls, the Cure, Dashboard Confessional, Pete Yorn, Tori Amos, A-ha. Everything damn it.

In light of recent events..I came across this song by Reba McEntire:

If I Had Only Known

By Reba McEntire

If I had only known

It was the last walk in the rain

I'd keep you out for hours in the storm

I would hold your hand

Like a lifeline to my heart

Underneath the thunder we'd be warm

If I had only known

It was our last walk in the rain

If I had only known

I'd never hear your voice again

I'd memorize each thing you ever said

And on those lonely nights

I could think of them once more

Keep your words alive inside my head

If I had only know

I'd never hear your voice again

You were the treasure in my hand

You were the one who always stood beside me

So unaware I foolishly believed

That you would always be there

But then there came a day

And I turned my head and you slipped away

If I had only known

It was my last night by your side

I'd pray a miracle would stop the dawn

And when you'd smile at me

I would look into your eyes

And make sure you knew my love

For you goes on and on

If I had only known

If I had only known

The love I would've shown

If I had only known

---------------------------------------

"Hey, Will, this is me. It doesn't have to be all good and fine. This is the room you don't have to be brave in. I still love you. If you're worried, you can be worried"

Monica - For You I Will

When you're feeling lost in the night

When you feel your world just ain't tight

Call on me, I will be waiting

Count on me, I will be there

Anytime the times get too tough

Anytime your best ain't enough

I'll be the one to make it better

I'll be there to protect you, see you through

I'll be there, and there is nothing, I won't do

Chorus:

I will cross the ocean for you

I will go and bring you the moon

I will be your hero, your strength

Anything you need

I will be the sun in your sky

I will light your way for all time

Promise you, for you I will

I will shield your heart from the rain

I won't let no harm come your way

Oh these arms will be your shelter

No these arms won't let you down

If there is a mountain to move

I will move that mountain for you

I'm here for you, I'm here forever

I will be your fortress, tall and strong

I'll keep you safe, I'll stand beside you, right or wrong

{Chorus}

For you I will, lay my life on the line

For you I will fight a hulk, for you I will die

With every breath, with all my soul

I'll give my word, I'll give it all

Put your faith in me

And I'll do anything

{Chorus}

I will, I will, I will

{Chorus}

I promise you, for you I will (3x)

I Turn To You

From the Movie Soundtrack "Space Jam"

Yeah, yeah, mm hm baby yeah

When I'm lost, in the rain

In your eyes I know I'll find the light

To light my way

And when I'm scared, losing ground

When my world is going crazy, you can turn it all around, oh yeah

And when I'm down you're there, to push me to the top, girl

You're always there giving me all you've got

Chorus:

For a shield, from the storm

For a friend, for a love to keep me safe and warm

I turn to you

For the strength, to be strong

For the will to carry on

For everything you do, for everything that's true

I turn to you

When I lose, the will to win

I just reach for you, and I could reach the sky again

I can do, anything

Cause your love is so amazing

Cause your love aspires me, yes it does

And when I need a friend, you're always on my side

Giving me faith, taking me through the night

{Chorus}

For the arms to be my shelter through all the rain

For truth that will never change

For someone to lean on

For a heart I can rely on through anything

For that one who, I can run to

For a shield, from the storm

For a friend, for a love to keep me safe and warm

I turn to you

For the strength, to be strong

For the will to carry on

For everything you do, for everything that's true

{Chorus}

I turn to you

Kiss Me

Kiss me out of the bearded barley

Nightly, beside the green, green grass

Swing, swing, swing the spinning step

You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

Chorus:

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight

Lead me out on the moonlit floor

Lift your open hand

Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance

Silver moon's sparkling

So kiss me

Kiss me down by the broken tree house

Swing em upon its hanging tire

Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat

We'll take the trail marked on your father's map

Chorus (repeat)

Full Of Grace

the winter here's cold, and bitter

it's chilled us to the bone

we haven't seen the sun for weeks

to long too far from home

I feel just like I'm sinking

and I claw for solid ground

I'm pulled down by the undertow

I never thought I could feel so low

oh darkness I feel like letting go

if all of the strength and all of the courage

come and lift me from this place

I know I could love you much better than this

full of grace

full of grace

my love

so it's better this way, I said

having seen this place before

where everything we said and did

hurts us all the more

its just that we stayed, too long

in the same old sickly skin

I'm pulled down by the undertow

I never thought I could feel so low

oh darkness I feel like letting go

if all of the strength

and all of the courage

come and lift me from this place

I know I could love you much better than this

full of grace

full of grace

my love

Poe - Fly away

It makes sense that it should happen this way

That the sky should break, and the earth should shake

As if to say: Sure it all matters but in such an

unimportant way

As if to say:

Fly away, sweet bird of prey

Fly fly away

Nothing can stand in your way

Sweet bird, if you knew the words

I know you'd say: fly, fly away

It makes sense that it should hurt in this way

That my heart should break, and my hands should shake

As if to say: Sure it don't matter except in the most

important way

As if to say:

Fly away, sweet bird of prey

Fly fly away

I won't stand in your way

Sweet bird, if you knew the words

I know that you'd say: fly, fly away

It makes sense that it should feel just this way

That you slowly fade and yet still remain

As if to say: Everything matter in such an invisible way

As if to say: It's O.K.

Fly...away

Song that struck me...

Postby Killin Joke » Mon May 13, 2002 5:43 pm

I've used Melanie C's beautiful "I turn to you" to make a Xena music video: would definitely work for Will and Tara too. But today I stumbled upon the lyrics of "Northern Star" which seemed to reflect perfectly what Will and Tara went through, Willow is going through, after what happens with Tara, and how we, the fans react to it, what the writers/makers/whatever have done to them, to us, how we feel somewhat (or totally) betrayed, etc. and some advice to cope, to deal with it.

Northern Star

They tried to catch a falling star. (-> pursuit to stop Evil Will)

Thinking that she had gone too far. (-> wild killing spree )

She did but kept it hidden well. (-> e.g. spell to forget)

Untill she cracked and then she fell. (-> e.g. after visiting Rack, Dawn got hurt, or after break-up, BSD)

If all the history is true. (-> portrayel of lesbians in movies/tv)

She's gonna end up just like you. (-> Tara down, Will ?)

You made it to the other side. (-> Tara)

But tell me who will be my guide. (-> Will is lost)

They build you up so they can tear you down. (-> makers)

Trust the ocean, you'll never drown. (-> Whedon ? Rather W/T's love ?)

Who's next ? (-> ?)

Who's gonna steal your crown ? (-> Who's gonna stop Will ?)

You'll see. (-> hopefully I'll see those eps soon)

I have learned my lesson well. (-> after Xena, etc.)

The truth is out there I can tell. (-> good portrayel of W/T bond)

Don't look back and don't succumb to their lies and goodbyes. (-> don't let ME mess with our heads)

Northern Star.

Fulfill the longing in your heart. (-> message)

Then we will never be apart. (-> Will and Tara forever !)

And if they dare to question you. (-> e.g. Tara stands up to Anya, who wants to push Will into using magic)

Just tell them that our love is true. (-> duh)

They buy your dreams so they can sell your soul. (-> idea of putting lesbians in it to suit their purposes)

Is it any wonder we've lost control ? (-> kittens goin' crazy, and Will)

Feelings come. (->W/T love, love of the fans for them)

Feelings go. (-> for the show)

I have learnt my lesson well.

The truth is out there I can tell.

Don't look back and don't succumb to their lies and goodbyes.

Live your life without regret. (-> no regrets of watching Buffy because of Will and Tara)

Don't be someone who they forget. (-> W/T will live on in our hearts)

When you're lost reach out for me. (-> "I got so lost." "I found you. I will always find you.")

And you'll see she's not far.

Northern Star.

Northern Star.

I have learnt my lesson well.

The truth is out there I can tell.

Don't look back and don't succumb to their lies and goodbyes.

Live your life without regret.

Don't be someone who they forget.

When you're lost reach out for me.

And you'll see she's not far.

Northern Star.

Northern Star.

Northern Star.

Songs of Willow and Tara

Postby primalfigure » Mon May 13, 2002 5:58 pm

I thought you meant Northern Star by Hole. More fitting.

Courtney Love's rage gets me through the now infamously crappy Season 6. How about for Evil Willow now, Reason to Beautiful by Hole?

Reason to be Beautiful

Love hangs herself,

with the bedsheets in her cell,

threw myself on fires for you,

ten good reasons to stay alive.

Ten good reasons that I can't find.

Oh, give me a reason to be beautiful,

so sick in this body,

so sick in this soul,

give me a reason to be beautiful,

and I will make myself so beautiful.

Or How about a sad song for TARA?

Hear you me - by Jimmy Eat World

If you were with me tonight,

I'd sing to you just one more time.

A song for a heart so big,

god *joss* wouldn't let it live.

May angels lead you in,

hear you me my friends.

On sleepless roads the sleepless go,

May angels lead you in.

There's no one in town I know,

you gave us some place to go.

I never said thank you for that,

now I'll never have a chance.

- *this part could be about how we all fell in love with the W/T relationship and never got a proper goodbye.*

Or what about this song, from all of us as fans:

My Sundown - Jimmy Eat World

I see it around me,

I see it in everything.

I could be so much more than this

Said my goodbyes,

this is my sundown.

I'm going to be so much more than this,

I need you to show me the way from crazy.

I want to be so much more than this.

With one hand high you'll show them your progress.

You'll take your time,

but NO ONE cares.

Lovely time, tinsel shine,

Goodbye I'll be fine.

Good Goodbye.

Good Goodnight.

Oeh, "Hole", even better, primalfigure ! Mel C isn't really my regular music. Normally I'm more of a rocker's chick/metal maiden (see my lyrics Dark Wings by Within Temptation -> metal/tinge of gothic, above) but this one kinda got to me (has this magic-y atmosphere to it). Anyway, I've come across more songs about rage/revenge today. Maybe I'll post some tomorrow. Jimmy Eat World is pretty popular lately (read something about Aly and/or Amber liking their music...)

This might have already been mentioned, but the one that really comes to mind right now (mainly because I'm doing a W/T music video to this song) is Blessed by Christina Howeverthehellyouspellherlastname

"When I think of how life used to be,

always walking in the shadows.

Then I look at what you've given me

I feel like dancing on my tip-toes.

I must say, every day I wake and realize you're by my side

I know I'm truly

Blessed, for everything you've given me

Blessed, for all the tenderness you show

Do my best with every breath that's in me

Blessed, to make sure you never go.

There are times that test your faith

Till you think you might surrender

Baby I'm not ashamed to say

That my hopes were growing slender

You walked by in the nick of time,

looking like an answered prayer

You know I'm truly

Blessed, for everything you've given me

Blessed, for all the tenderness you show

Do my best with every breath that's in me

Blessed, to make sure you never go.

Blessed, with love and understanding

Blessed, when I hear you call my name

Do my best, with faith that's never ending

Blessed, to make sure you feel the same.

Deep inside of me,

You fill me with your gentle touch

You know I'm truly

Blessed, for everything you've given me

Blessed, for all the tenderness you show

Do my best with every breath that's in me

To see you never go."

I know, a bit mushy, but it seems a bit appropiate for some reason. Sorry if the song was already mentioned.

Drop in the Ocean

Postby alyamber4ever » Tue May 14, 2002 4:05 am

I love this song, 'Drop in the Ocean', by Michelle Branch. Lately when I listen to it, it makes me think of Willow and Tara. :)

Love took me by the hand

Love took me by surprise

Love led me to you

And love opened up my eyes

And I was drifting away like a drop in the ocean

And now I realize

That nothing has been as beautiful as when I saw heavens skies in your eyes

In your eyes

And everytime I drift away

I lose myself in you

And now I see I can be me

In everything I do

'Cause I was feeling as small as a drop in the ocean

And now I realize

That nothing has been as beautiful as when I saw heavens skies in your eyes

In your eyes

Love took me by the hand

Love took me by surprise

And I was drifting away like a drop in the ocean

And now I realize

that nothing has been as beautiful as when I saw heavens skies in your eyes

in your eyes

Oh my....I love this song. :D
