So Kerry and Sandy having a baby now. It will be interesting to see how the ER writers handle this, I hope they at least have taken note to the hell Joss had has since Tara's death and provide a positive outcome on this relationship.

How many people watch ER ? I'm hoping now that the pregnancy is out Kerry will have more air time , she has so far been absent most of this season. I guess now her story line will kick in. My fingers are crossed that another great lesbian relationship doesn't have a shitty outcome.

I'm sorry, I'm probably going to be of a differing opinion than some here, but I don't think that what's on ER is a great lesbian relationship. I mean, we don't even know anything about it. It's the first time this year that we see them together, and it was for 2 seconds. And now, out of the blue, Kerry's pregnant. I think that's a really dumb move, it's like they couldn't think of anything else for her to do. But I do think the firefighter lady is hot, so I wouldn't mind seeing more of her, especially in her uniform.

Actually the whole "Kerry Pregnant" thing is totally ER. Stuff is always happening to the characters of screen. (So they don't have to do little details i guess)

But I read some spoilers about the storyline , and I suggest that you don't get to invested in the babystoryline.

I will agree great was a wrong word to use ... I just like those two and have always been a Kerry fan. They diffently don't give them enough air time, the show iskinda biased towards the latest and greatest straight story of the moment. IE: Abby/Carter

Let me first say, "Bloody Hell!" and then, "awww cute." :baby

Then two things:

  1. I hope this gives Kerry more on-screen time, 'cause IMHO you can never have too much of Kerry on ER. :heart
  2. I hope we see more of Sandy now, 'cause it'd be nice to see more of their relationship, and how having a baby affects them.
  3. I'll be really disappointed if it all ends badly. I'm not sure whether I should trust ER's producers and expect angsty but ultimately happy things, or guard my feelings to prevent complete heartache (like I should have done with a certain other series).
  4. Dare I say it, but who's the father? :confused

Of course, by the time I get to see it in the UK, I'll probably already know what's happened, so if won't be a surprise.

I only just started watching ER a little while ago after Jen and me had a little convo about Sandy :drool so i thank you Jen :)

I'm just hoping like most of us that the producers will handle this properly and not like a certain show that shouldn't be named. I'm also a little confused about the father thing....ah well, guess I'll have to what to see it.

yeah...I don't know about the baby deal...I was like, what? How long have they been together...a few months? It was sort of out of the blue. I miss her first girlfriend...what was her name? I thought they were cute together...but maybe that's just because they actually showed us scenes just about them.

I watch ER as well, and I was totally shocked at the baby storyline, what with not having seen Sandy all season. More Sandy, please! And Kerry's parts so far this season have not been great. I'm still waiting to see what the syringe in the restroom was supposed to mean (if it has something to do with the trying to get pregnant, I don't get it. Maybe somebody more knowledgeable can help me out?). Overall, I'm happy that ER is addressing the issue. I'd like to see them address the paternity issue, as well.

I am terribly afraid for the ladies, though--everybody's kid on the show has some sort of problem or near death experience.

the syringe was used to pump hormones into Kerry so she could concieve. I think it's been over a year since Sandy and Kerry met. I am happy for Kerry 'cause she was so happy and since their relationship has taken place off screen I supposse we have to assume it's the real deal since they are planning on bringing a baby into the mix. The few seconds they were on screen last week were amazing. It made me miss all that we haven't been seeing.

dear God, I'm here..I'm here.

I do think Sandy is very HOT; but I've always like Kerry. I've finally been able to catch-up with ER via the re-runs on TNT every morning

Have we heard anything about the relationship? I really don't want to get burned again.

Hey, thanks for posting those pics, Jen. The first one was a bit weird... ;) But the second one just melted my heart. :heart

I always liked Susan when she was around in the first few years, but I have to say that ever since she's come back I don't seem to like her much anymore. And I'm not quite sure why that is.

BTW, shootingstar I've no idea when ER's going to be on again in the UK, but I hope it's soon. :pray I wanna see this.

Anyhoo, here's to hoping that ER's producers treat this storyline with respect, and give us a lesbian relationship we can rely on. Because if they do f*ck us over like that other show, I'll not be happy. :smash

This is slightly OT but I think you guys'll like it.

If you want to see clips of, say, ER's Kerry and Kim kissing, or Once and Again's Jessie and Katie kissing, or Friends' Rachel kissing Winona Ryder, or Ally McBeal kissing basically everyone...check out http://www.kissing-babes.com. The name's kinda cringe-worthy but the site is not sleazy or porno, really. Just lotsa clips of gay women kissing. My kinda site. :drool

Yeah, my wife and I were actually really shocked when we saw Weaver getting an u/s. Especially since we just reached the 5th month mark (20 weeks... we're halfway there) of our own pregnancy. I mean, true, we've hardly seen any footage of the two of them together... we weren't brought into their lives about this decision... and there was so much drama before this between them... EEK. To me, it reeks of another show trying to include "the lesbians" for ratings and so they can say, "see, we too know that the world is changing and that some of you are gay so don't ever call US homophobes"...

whatever.

I think they alreayd treated the storyline with disrespect by leaving the audience out of the loop. I mean they could already tell the sex of the baby... we got a 60% accuracy of the sex in our own pregnancy at 16 weeks... so she's got to be pretty far along... and we knew nothing of the intimate workings of this conception... donor planning, trying to conceive, etc. Puh-leeze.

One possible reason for the lack of screen time for Kerry and Sandy - the actress who plays Sandy (Lisa Vidal) is a regular on another show, "The Division" on Lifetime, and her availability may be limited. Just a thought.

Was reading on a website before that Kerry/Sandy shippers noticed Kerry wearing a pendent at the latter half of last season, and they suspected it was a St Florian's (not sure about the spelling) medal that Firefighters give to their spouses. I thought this was a lovely idea, but not having seen the new season yet I don't know if it was ever confirmed.

I love ER and I'm pleased that they have a lesbian character on the show. I'm interested to see where they go with this baby story line but I liked Kerrie's other girlfriend. The blond one from a while ago. She played Gia's girlfriend in the HBO movie Gia. She is HOT!

Spice,

That would be Elizabeth Mitchell, who played Kim in Season 7. I miss her, too. When I went and saw, "The Santa Clause 2," I realized again how much I miss seeing her on ER. :cry I wish she would come back. At least for 1 or 2 shows.

I do like Sandy though. I think I am biased, cause I love Lisa Vidal. :drool That woman is just... YUM! :heart

Random sperm donor I'd assume? Kerry has been taking hormones, I'm guessing to aide in conception through artificial insemination.

I'm happy about this storyline too, even if it did happen a little suddenly. I don't think we've even seen Sandy (I couldn't remember her name before this thread, its been so long) since she kissed Kerry in the hospital and outed her. I did miss some episodes last season though. Did we see Sandy between that ep and last week's? I also miss Kerry's first girlfriend. I think Elizabeth Mitchell is so beautiful. What was her character's name on ER? I always just think of her as "Linda from Gia" because that's what I first saw her in.

I also rather enjoy Maura Tierny, there's something sexy about her. And Abby & Carter make a good couple.

I recall seeing Sandy in another episode towards the end of last season...i'm not sure specifically which one tho. I recall tho...some episode AFTER the episode where Sandy kissed Kerry in the hospital and outed her...there was a fire...Kerry found out that Lopez wasn't accounted for...finally got word she was ok...and then went to find her at a bar that night. She ended up telling Lopez that she was right...she did do her a favor by outing her..etc...and then they kissed...a few little kisses...it was more than their previous kiss...but no Entropy kiss by any stretch. And I think after that Kerry drove Sandy home.

Anyway...that's about all I can remember...and considering the problems I've had with my memory today...the fact that I remembered that much is a small miracle. ;)

take care!
