I was thinking the same thing when watching GH. When I saw Faith kiss Courtney, I was like W.T.F.? LOL!! It was a shocker. I guess that's what they were going for. And TECHNICALLY the first same-sex kiss in daytime. I think? I've never saw another one. Sure it wasn't by any stretch of the imagination - romantic. It was funny when Courtney said it was the "Kiss of Death" LOL!!

Given all the hype around the kiss - it is bound to generate some negative backlash - it might be a good idea to send the folks at AMC some mail to let them know how much we don't want this to be just another publicity stunt, and how great it is to see them treating lesbian characters like anyone else on the soaps.

I'll definitely be watching this..I like the interaction between the two..It should be fun and since it's a soap, and the producers haven't come out with a bunch of bullshit about always and forever, cough, cough ME , I know what to expect..Lena will fall in love with Bianca, Bianca will fall for Lena and have great sex for the first time in 2 years, then she'll discover her betrayal..Bianca will either push Lena away, forgive her when she realizes that Lena really does lover her, or be crushed and fall into Maggie's arms.. Very cliched. But hey, it's a soap..it's not trying to be anything else...and all the sex on soap is for the ratings..



Edited to add: I watched the view and enjoyed it..Lena/Bianca actually have alot of chemistry going..I like how they've shown Lena to be a bad guy, but the actress is really so good that she's able to convincingly portray the struggle Lena is having as she is falling in love with Bianca..Very cliched, but hey, very good...

I saw the show today, which was boring, but I saw the big ABC ad for it. They are really plugging it. I know it's for ratings, obviously, it's in trouble they need it. On the other hand, they've had this Bianca storyline for a long time. As long as they follow through, I am going to forgive the ratings. If Bianca was a ratings stunt they would have had her kiss someone and left 2 years ago, which isn't to say I expect Bianca to last forever on that show. The coming out was done with great care. I expect this to be a typical soap story and that means follow through. That's all I really expect.



Anyway, I saw the preview for tomorrow. I like Lena. She'd rather break up the thing with Bianca rather than be forced to use it for evil. SHe's never known love but god Bianca is going to show her!



Oh and a greenlee kendall fight is all good!

I agree Xita..It just seems like alot of fun..The actresses seem to like each other and have great chemistry..and they both seemed pretty excited with the storyline, which you know is going to be angsty and sexy..The question is how far will Lena go to protect Binx and what will Binx do when she finds out that Lena has been lying but is actually really in love with her.. Stay tuned..Cliched, yeah, but seems sexy and fun, so I'll watch...

The kiss actually got a tiny mention in a daily gossip show on Dutch tv (RTL Boulevard), it sure is working publicity wise if it gets mentioned in a country where AMC isn't even shown. I saw the clip of that kiss, nicely done, good camera angle, they weren't trying to hide it by having them kiss in the dark or only showing the back of their heads like on some other show I've seen, starting with an E and ending with an R.

I agree with sparrow, there was a huge deal about the kiss and then it was over in a few seconds and on to the next commercial.

And Kendahl897 there was no follow-up to this kiss. The episode ended with the kiss. However, the scenes from the next episode show Lena asking Bianca to leave with her. So, it looks like you are two days behind a resolution. Sorry hun.



I don't normally watch this soap and I'm not sure if I'll start. There seems to be so much going on I'd hate to get on board with another couple and be disappointed. My heart can't take another slap!

Thanks..I'm just going to watch it and enjoy it..It's a soap..It's going to be angsty and cliched, but the producers have already promised it won't be a rose garden..Willow and Tara were the last couple I shipped and I wil never make that same mistake twice. I don't regret that, but I do regret putting my trust in Joss and ME.. W/T live in Pens; this is just a soap that's finally giving Bianca a love life. I hope she takes it and runs with it for as long as it lasts...

I loved the episode. I loved Bianca's talk with Myrtle. It's great to see a conversation about lesbian love without it being about it being right or wrong, just about following your heart. So true, Bianca wears everything on her sleeve. I've been watching the show on and off since this storyline was introduced and I swore off AMC till they gave her some lovin. It's about time Bianca got some and you can see how happy she is in the previews for tomorrow. It was very dramatic, just the way a soap should be!



I think Olga is a much better choice than Maggie because she's older. I think it turns this into an affair between women and not teenagers and that's probably why ABC feels the daytime audience can handle it better. In time daytime can perhaps skew this kind of relationship younger, but for the first time, I think it was a wise choice.

The bellhop was so funny. I am not sure if I want more scheming or if I want Lena to be brave and stand up to that bastard michael. I just want drama and gosh it was fun today lol. Tomorrow should be better what with bianca standing up to mom finally. It did seem that they went to the hotel for at least a make out session. And I loved the way the whole experience/inexperience thing was brought again because it certainly suggested sex!

I think they'll keep Lena on the good side as much as possible..I think the producers want to keep the audience rooting for them..There's going to be enough anguish and hurdles to get past when Bianca learns the truth..But hey, at least Lena's got Myrtle on her side. That's something she's going to need in the future..And remember the other night on their date when Langley was brought up? Ooh, this is going to be so much fun..They're supposed to hit the sheets sometime in May. But the producers are being very coy about how much they're actually going to show..No sex scene, but almost definitely the seduction..

Kendall is really dumb I realized. In the preview for tomorrow she confronts michael wondering who he has been sleeping with. He says on the phone, "how do you think your new lover will react when she finds out how many times you shared my bed last month." Hmm, how many bisexual women does she know?
