I have to say, speaking strictly for myself, that I love the way this story is going so far..Sure, I'd like to see more kissing and such, but the steam room scene and the scene in the hospital when Lena takes Binx hand were pretty sensual/ romantic to me. There was also a sweetness to them. I don't want a sex scene just for the sake of one.

Well, like I said, 'for what it's worth'.. I get the impression that she (Cindi rinehart) is reliable and she does work for ABC and this is what she does, so I'm assuming she knows of what she speaks..I say this b/c TV Guide said the exact opposite. But I've been burned by TV Guide too many times to put more faith in them. I guess time will tell. My own opinion is that this storyline has been a hit for AMC. And God knows the couple las chemistry to burn. So despite all the upcoming angst, why mess up a good thing as soon as it starts..

I agree with that statement ... i have been watching "all my children" since it was announced bianca was gay ... and have been waiting for her to get a romance and it sure is nice to finally see it happening.



Eden Riegel has had chemistry with every actress tptb have put in front of her as potential mates -- and she has always been able to convey a lot, though the stories never amounted to anything ... and most of the "romance" was just hinted at or eventually shown as lesbian falling for straight girl stuff.

I haven't watched soap operas in years, but from what I remember, story lines change all the time. They might have one plan for a couple, but after a few weeks realize a different direction would be better. I use to be so addicted to soaps as a teen I would read the soap opera magazines. I remember they would give the scoop about a couple then a month or two later they would report that a story line changed because this worked or this didn't work. So if AMC had planned for Lena and Bianca to break-up, maybe now with the fan support and the fantastic chemistry between the two actresses, they will stay together. But of course in the soap opera world, nothing is forever.

I think I read somewhere that at first AMC thought of B/L in terms of the ''shock value'' per se..but then I read that Frons really liked the pairing and the chemistry..Considers it to be ''bolder'' TV. I think that is why you are seeing the redemption of Lena as the story progresses. A redemption which began when she realized her feelings for Bianca were genuine, which in turn makes the audience want to support not only the pairing, but Lena,too, which is important.. Understand that babble, anyone?

Your babble makes sense to me. That was the point I was trying to get at in my post just above yours. Stories change all the time on soaps as the writers, producers, etc. see how it is working or not working. I think there is hope for Lena and Bianca because obviously it is working very well.

Well, if they broke Lena and Bianca up now, there would really be no use left for Lena, now would there be? Yet we know that they are about to introduce her mother onto the show. I think this story will get alot more dramatic and angsty in the days ahead, but they have done a good job of establishing that Binx and Lena are in love. And that's always a good sign..IMO

Yes I think Lena may need to redeem herself after this. I think the fact that her mom is coming is a good sign that things are far from over.

Bianca wakes up alone in the bed, naked! Calls out good morning, jokes about how Bianca slept through the alarm and breakfast and the marching band, hee. Lena is fixing up a tray and brings it over to her. Bianca tells her that last night was spectacular and she had a great time; Lena agrees. They lean in to kiss and the phone rings. Stupid Michael.



That is the adorable part.



Bianca is insecure and Lena is all in love and reassuring her every step of the way. Lena is pretty much being blackmailed by Michael now. She stole the combination to Erica's safe from Bianca's PDA while Binks was in the shower. Binks is called away by Kendall because Erica talked her into being the one to tell Bianca about Lena working with Michael. Bianca slaps her. Heh, poor Kendall.



They keep cutting out things we should be seeing. Fuckos.



Tomorrow looks to be another must not miss episode.



Man, Jack doesn't seem to be doing too well if we can hear his breathing from a whole other room.



Hee, Bianca and Lena are so cute together.

Today's episode was wonderful... you can really feel the love between Binks/Lena. It's obvious with Lena hanging up on Michael and the heavy handed way (literally pulling her hair/arm back) he's making her choose (ie saying "love or your mother"). Or in other words, conveys she's doing this against her will (I especially felt her conflicted feelings when she said something to the effect, "I will protect you from myself" to Binks). And hee poor Kendall being slapped by Binks when she told her Lena is sleeping with Michael.



I agree that story-lines can change direction (mid-course) on soaps, and while Lena was written as a "baddie" with little redeeming qualities (in the beginning) I think Frons interest (not to mention the actress's chemistry) has changed to Lena lying because she feels trapped with little to no choice (while at the same time never negating the fact she has true feelings for Bianca... she still wants to protect her).



And I too read the produces are looking for a high profile actress to portray Lena's mom so I can only take this as a good sign. One thing I learned from soaps are characters longevity is not only having a front-burner story-line, but having family ties (ie not being isolated where your character is solely dependant on his/her love interest). So my rambling is basically saying I do believe regardless of angst (even a temporary break-up if this occurs) doesn't mean it's the end to Lena/Binks as a couple (ie soaps love having seemingly insurmountable obstacles put in a couples way where the audience is rooting for said couple to find their way back together). So I say bring on the ride... the angst, drama, and of course the love!

If there is one thing AMC can do it is redeem a character and have a relationship overcome any odds against it..Remember around the time when Binx came out? Greenlee was a snotty, conniving bitch who had lied to Leo and tried to kill Laura by pushing her off the boat.. Now look at her....

Don't worry so much folks.. Much angst and drama in store in the next couple of weeks, but I feel that the folks at AMC have learned something after the backlash they recieved from the whole 'Frankie dies' fiasco..there's a reason these two are so much in love...



Edited to add: OK, I love lena and Bianca.. I just have one request..When they're ever in a scene together, don't let Olga wear heels and don't let Binx be barefoot..PLEASE

And yes Lena and Bianca are just great, when and if it ends, I think they need to keep this mature line for Bianca, I'd hate for her to go back to the teenage set for love. I fully supported a rain/bianca pairing. Since then , no one has grabbed me for Bianca till now. I mostly saw friendship in other situations, and adventageous straight girls.
