Yes today's episode was wonderful... loved the Binks/Lena chemistry . However, spoilers...























I don't know if anyone saw the AMC preview (for events to come later on, which was shown a little before the airing of AMC), but it contained scenes of Michael slamming Bianca against a wall, Binks later hitting Michael "satan" with a poker, and lastly Kendall and Erica crying holding each other. With this in mind, it's looking more and more likely the rape rumor is going to indeed happen on or about July 4th. God I'm really dreading this horrible angst... I just want to see Bianca/Lena love not this tragedy.



Edited to add what also disturbs me is my doubts (based on previous McTavish forays on other soaps) that she can portray a rape story-line properly (ie one thing I have learned from McTavish writing GH is she loves darkness... kinda reminds me of someone else ). Regardless of the intentions of this story-line, I can't help but wonder (as some kittens mentioned previously) if this is AMC's way putting a kibosh on the physical aspects of their relationship?

Oh yeah, I am borderline for sure about what is going to happen. I won't watch the event but it's how the story progresses that will keep me or lose me. If they use this to stop bianca's sexual life, it will make a HUGE difference. It really will piss me off if this is very graphic. IT's like women together making love is too much to show but a graphic rape is ok? I really can't handle that.

I have been hearing rumors about this rape storyline for months but wanted to believe they weren't going to go that far. The preview after today's show has Lena talking to Michael, she says "are you threatening Bianca?". Obviously they are going to make it out that Lena testifying is going to be a major factor in this horrible course of events. Lena is going to be blamed thus enacting yet another roadblock to a decent lesbian relationship.

ok olga visited her board again - answering a question about working with eden -- here is her response:



I know noone on this board needs convincing that Eden is one extraordinary creature. When I first started working on AMC I had no idea I would be linked to her character. The first time I got to really talk to her was during the seemingly endless taping of the Fusion launch party. We had very little to do in the scenes but were required to "be seen" in the background.

So we got talking. Mostly I remember thinking: "so HOW old did this girl say she is?!" There aren't many people her age who display as much intelligence and knowledge and grace and sanity all in one... And the most astounding thing of all is that she's so matter-of-fact about it all. The girl was handling living an independent life in NYC, fulfilling the demanding duties of serious employment, of being a celebrity (with all the baggage of expectation that that carries), of being a spokeswoman for a "controversial" topic, of paying taxes... need I go on? - all this before even becoming an adult!

Anyway, in case it's not clear, I'm in awe of Eden. She's a highly talented, outstandingly professional actor with a merciless thirst for perfection. She takes her work very seriously which, coupled with her ability and intelligence, makes her a very exciting acting partner.

And the truth is that, just like with W/T in Entropy and Seeing Red, I just can't really enjoy this knowing what's coming

it was fun to see bianca and lena happy even if it was for all of 2 minutes ... though i think i would have liked to see some scenes where they actually talked about everything and then got back together!



my guess is bianca is going to stand by lena despite the jail cell -- which undoubtedly leads michael to seek revenge ... (sigh) so not wanting to see what is coming up ...

She just couldn't put her faith in lena. Lena is right now if Binks can't find love is because she doesn't think she deserves it. Too bad. With everything that's coming up it may be months before we see any goodness again, if ever.

I don't know why, but I think Bianca is going to come around and assist Lena in trying to clear her name and help bring down Michael. She supposed to be consoled by Maggie tomorrow, but what's the point of that if not to set something else up? Look at the spoilers from last week for this week.

""Bianca is intrigued by Lena""---I can assure you that in a 1000 years, Lena being a waitress would have never occurred to me. My point is that after last week, it really wasn't clear that they were going to make it as far as they did this week. Last week Bianca was telling Maggie she wasn't letting Lena get close b/c she didn't trust herself, this week and she's ready to take her to the Blue Angel. And I think it was pretty clear where they would have wound up after that.

Anyway, Olga said our patience would be rewarded. So just hang in there. It is a soap opera after all, and no supercouple ever has it easy. Just look at Edmond and Maria. God, I would have hated to be a fan of that pair.

Now, if I just knew where to get some patience...

i enjoyed all the LAB stuff yesterday -- but why must soap cops be so dumb? an anonymous tip and an obviously fake pic could land someone in jail? oh wait i forgot about the e-trail. i mean honestly!



it was good to see lena with some backbone and fighting back a bit -- though telling bianca she was just like erica was a low blow! lol

And it sounds like that picture is pretty fake, Lena doesn't even hesitate in pointing out the flaws. I too am hoping for Bianca to come to Lena soon and stand by her. It would be a great change for them. It has already changed with Lena finally standing up for herself. No more hanging your head from Lena.

You do not go and arrest someone based on this insufficient evidence. That picture would have been spotted as a fake even in Port Charles (and that is a sorry situation). Why would Michael do such a stupid thing? I work in forensics and that picture would be spotted as a fake immediately, thereby giving Lena's claim of being set up some substance. If he had left that part out and just stuck with the paper/email trail than he would have had a better chance.

Dr. G. are you saying that you can't go right from the waiting room into the operating room in most hospitals? Well ,I never.While the ads are showing the r- scene the mags and the writer are downplaying it totally. Gee ,that worked so well when Buffy did that. This new head writer got the job with her Bianca gets raped , pregnant and has the baby plot.Now the mags are dropping hints about Bianca and Maggie again which makes me wonder if they're going to send poor Eden back to the kids table. Or as Xita pointed out it gets them away from two women and back to two girls.Next week Reggie gets a gun and goes to jail ,and there was nothing about Bianca or Lena.

the spoilers concerning bianca and maggie basically say that maggie is supporting bianca (probably during the rape) -- that doesn't mean they are going to be a couple! i think amc has made it very clear that maggie is straight.



additionally - olga has been signed to a long term contract -- for now she is going nowhere.



we had a full week of bianca and at least a few days of lena - so others stories may take center stage next week -- thats the nature of soaps!

I'm sorry, I should have said that both SoapOpera Weekly and Soap Opera Digest have articles about it. There's an interview with Elizabeth Hendricksen in Soap Weekly and she's asked about a future hook up with Bianca, she's diplomatic about it . The other one is more along the lines of the spoilers you mentioned but doesn't rule it out. It could be they're trying to revive interest in her character after the Henry fiasco.

I read both those magazines and the point obviously being made is that they are simply bringing back scenes like we've had from the past several weeks where Bianca and Maggie are friends who talk and share their issues. There is no romance to it stated or implied...

I know a lot of us are not happy with the rape spoilers... so I thought I give a heads up when the horrible act occurs (in order to use your own discretion in deciding to view/not to view it).

Also I haven't seen this myself yet, but on Eden's Forum they posted that Soap Net showed another more graphic commercial for the rape.... "Bianca is in a long-sleeve black blouse outside. It looks like she's setting something on fire, possibly her clothes. There's also a scene with Binks, wide-eyed and terrified saying what do you want and then you hear Michael say there's no need to be frightened. Then you see a hand going up the back of the white sleeveless blouse Bianca was wearing and then hear Bianca moaning (fade to black),"



God this is going to be so horrible/gut-wrenching to watch, and I still have my doubts that McTavish (in regards to her past history with soaps) won't be able to portray (give the proper justice) to this type of story-line. And knowing there are pregnancy rumors floating about I can't help but wonder if McTavish will try to parallel Erica's rape, but with the twist she keeps her baby. Really it's bad enough the "higher-ups" decided to rape her, I will scream if she also has to deal with the fall-out of being pregnant by "Satan" too (and by the way in this day and age what about the after birth control pill to prevent said baby. Then again if she's burning her clothes she might not tell anyone right away she was raped).



Also I know Olga has said to be "patient"... I do trust her, but I have a feeling (knowing soaps, as well knowing it will take a long time to recover emotionally/physically from rape) that Lianca will not be together for quite a long time.

Well, I’d rather Bianca where friends with Kendall, or Greenlee for that matter rather then Maggie. At least with the first two the times they’re on screen together are entertaining. Whenever Bianca and Maggie are together I have a tendency to take a nap! Plus, Bianca and Maggie I have no problem with, it’s the BAMrs that scare me and they’ll be downright aggressive if those two spend more time together! hehe



Ack, I doubt I’ll watch the rape episode. I’m very much a ‘tell me the entire movie before I go see it’ type person. I’ll probably tape it, then read what everyone else has to say about it first before actually watching it… a few days later.



From the two promo’s I’ve seen so far it’s going to just be so harsh. I just saw some caps from the promo and I’m already weeping for Bianca. Jesus! This all sucks.

Actually, though I 'm not a member of that website, the BAMMER's seem to me to be some of the biggest supporters of the Lena/Bianca storyline out there and are in a large part responsible for their winning in the soap polls every week as favorite couple. And I get the impression that most have moved past Maggie as a love interest for Bianca and are happy that they're friends again.

ON another note, I will wait and see how the rape storyline pans out..I'm not going to attack AMC before I even know what they have planned as far as the rape and the aftermath affecting Lianca plays out..I have been pleasantly surprised so far, and despite my impatience at times, they really haven't let me down yet and have managed to surprise me when I least expect it..I don't expect big love scenes or equal treatment as the hetero couples a far as sex goes, it's daytime and I think that would be a little unrealistic, but I think they have done a terrific job of showing the tenderness and the love between the two and have not chickened out at all as far as that goes. And at least Brian Frons, the head of ABC Daytime Programming had enough common sense to sign Olga to a long-term contract when he saw how popular the actress and the couple were, and I see that as a good sign.. He is on record as saying there will be more lots more Lianca this summer and Olga posted that our patience would be rewarded regarding a reunion between the two.

So for now I will be patient and hope that ABC and AMC continue to recognize what a gem they have in that pair and move forward, albeit slowly..

Kendahl ,I admire your optimism but the writers who wanted to treat Lena and Bianca like any other couple got canned ,and the new head writer is the daytime equivalent of Marti Noxon who loves stories about violence against women. Brian Frons hired her because of her Bianca gets raped pitch even as he signed Olga to a contract.So I'm not hoping for much, and I think to go from one kiss to rape inside of three months is pretty wretched.
