The July birthday thread

It’s July second and I don’t see a monthly birthday thread yet, so I’ll do the honors and start one. Since my birthday is July 18, I would like to wish a very happy birthday to all the kittens lucky enough to share this birth month with me. I would also like to wish a happy July 18 birthday to my brother Larry and my brother Paul. Thank you Mom and Dad for making it easy to remember our birthday.

I'm one of them, and today (the second) is my eighteenth! Therefore, I've had my first few legal U.K. drinks. Only problem is, now it's legal, all the fun's gone out of it

Actually, we were born in three different decades. My parents only did it one time a year and they got lucky three times.

July is clearly the best possible month to have a birthday. Here in Canada, July is the first month with 100% certain summer weather, school is out and the days are long and full of potential adventures. When I lived in Calgary, July meant the Stampede was on too, which was always the best party of the summer.



And my high opinion of July b-days has, of course, nothing to do with the fact that mine happens to be on the 10th. Purely coincidental and totally beside the point, I assure you.



Happy birthday to all of us fortunate July kittens. I can almost taste the cake already.
