Hey wolfwynd pity Forest lost as it would have been cool to have had an all midlands final.

Well done to Arsenal for winning the FA cup yesterday. I had to fight my natural tendency to support the underdog (hey, I'm Irish!) and was merrily cheering for the Gunners.

Thank you all for your kind words of support.

Em, I am already worried about the footballing force that is Villa. Roll on next season.

I would like to be with Kylie, I think she's really, really hot. I wonder if I can get Kylie to want to do it with Madonna?

Well i managed to go along with my natural tendency and not support the arse, sorry dear, apart from my hero Freddie so I ended up cheering for him and Southampton. Gotta say I got some odd looks. heh.

But congrats to Arsenal and well done Southampton for making it a great match for the neutral. I still don't like Cole though. Sorry. Bridge is a much better left-back. The young lad Baird did well though. 'Young lad' hark at me...

Fair play to Wolves. I was really pleased they did so well.

As I have been without a computer for over a week now I have missed out on saying a big well done to Wolves. I was very surprised that they pulled it off but they did so well done.

Now all I need to worry about is my lots manager buggering off to Real.

Ok they were the dullest set of footy hightlights I have ever had the misfortune to watch.

We were piss poor, we better bloody well play better when the game actually counts towards something.

Sven should play the team he thinks he'll play next week to give them a runaround, and throw on a couple of young subs late on to give them experience... I think he already knows the team he wants against Slovakia so I don't understand why there were all those substitutions.

There's one major flaw with Sven. He keeps overlooking Gareth Barry, The Future of English Football (TM).

Yes, yes, I know, I'm biased. But let's look at the facts. We have no-one who can play left-side of midfield.

Barry had a storming season there for Villa. He ran rings around more illustrious midfield opponents during the course of the year, in particular one David Beckham.

So why doesn't Sven play him? It's almost as much of a mystery as why he continues to select Emile Heskey.

I'm losing faith in the softly-spoken Swede.

Barry for England. Well why the hell not, anything is better than playing a Neville brother.........

*raises hand* ok i am the only person in the world that has an appreciation for Phillip Neville. I know he's not the best player in the world and gives away penalties at the shittest of times but i do think he is a good player and should stop arsing around on the bench and go play for a club where he can play week in week out.

Ok there, my reputation is in ruins. Ok ok it was never that good a reputation.

I have left myself open to ridicule. Again. Heh, its ok, i'm used to it.

But lets face it, i could have said i liked Heskey.

I have one thing to say to that...bum tiaras! Oh no, wait...Bum Tiaras (TM).

Ha :)

Now, Phillip Neville. No, no and a thousand times no. It doesn't matter how well Ugly Sister No 2 plays, he must always, without fail, be ridiculed as a useless lump who probably has difficulty tying his own laces. Even if he plays like David Beckham at his best.

Um, and I have nothing to say about football, apart from the fact that apparently (thanks Nicky) Macclesfield Ladies Soccer Team are being featured in a show on Channel 4 next week. It's called Reality Check.

I for one will be watching avidly. I didn't think they made lesbians in Macclesfield. Well, apart from the obvious one, that is. :)

P.S. Before you all haul me over hot coals, I'm not inferring that all women who play footie are lesbians. Nor am I inferring that playing football is a less than feminine hobby. And I'm not inferring that Macclesfield is a community wherein homosexuality is forbidden and probably punishable under "local law" by tarring and feathering.

Well...maybe that last one I am, yeah. :flirt

Ooh I'll have to watch that. I saw a documentary on the Doncaster Belles once and it was excellent. They're the ones who inspired Playing the Field for those who didn't know :)

Talking of the Donnie Belles - well, you all weren't but I was - I highly recommend a book about them called I Lost My Heart to the Belles by Peter Davies.

It really shows just what these women go through to play the game - even to the extent of playing with fractures. Makes me wonder why I bother with the preening Premiership.

The England football team are currently giving me a heart attack....they've managed to claw their way back to a 2-1 lead, but look more than a bit dodgy to be honest.

I think the linesman may well have been paid off....in what strange rule book was Frankie offside?

Some say they're going to a place called Glory and I ain't saying it ain't a fact,
but I've heard that I'm on the road to puragtory and I don't like the sound of that,

I have yet to hook my tv up in my new place since the antenna designer couldn't get off her arse and fix her own antenna. So instead miss Zoe is the one giving me the heartattack with a minute-by-minute commentary of the game. Far better, amusing and um well a lot more biased than any other commentary i've witnessed. Me thinks you dont like Hargreaves love?

Biased, me never! I told you when Cole sliped up didn't I and I was very nice about the Man utd players.

The first half was crap but the second was much better. A big well done to Owen and Vassel, they both played blinders .

Owen was soooo unlucky not to get a hat-trick, and yeh, how on Earth was Lampard offside? And how did he not get the second penalty? I think you have a point- that linesman WAS paid off...he must have been. oh well, despite looking dodgy, we got the three points, Heskey didn't play and Gerrard and Owen were amazing! And that's really all that matters.

Well the boys in Green played well last night to earn a 2-0 victory over Georgia.

I was initially a tad worried about how we'd play without little Damo Duff, but the whole team pulled together to put on a really entertaining 90-and-a-bit minutes.
