Share your favourite Smilies

Ok so amidst the deeper meaning of life in an ever expanding universe, smilies probably do not mean that much, but I happen to like them so everyone much share in the joy.



A forum such as this is a great place for people from all over the world to exchange ideas or general silliness without having to leave their home. One drawback of communicating through nothing more than the written word can be the inability to see the expression on someone's face or the to hear the tone in their voice, which can make a big difference in the meaning of someone's words. Smilies can be a big help to convey those emotions that words alone cannot express, or they can just lighten the mood a little or they can be completely useless but just so cute you just insert them into your post anyway. I try to use smilies as sparingly as possible, because too many in one post can distract from the words they are usually meant to aid, but this thread is for smilies, so if you want to share your favourite smilie, go for it.

OK, Kittens this isn't really sharing my favorite smilie, though if I had to choose, it would be the dancing banana. That one cracks me up every single time. I'm actually in search of a particular smilie that I haven't been able to find out there. Since Kittens are the most amazing and resourceful folks in the world, I thought I'd ask for some help. Has anyone ever seen smilie batting its eyelashes? If so, could you point me in the right direction?

Actually the yahoo flirt smilie does that. Unfortunately for now the one we have here just sits there with it's eyes open. ( ) Xita promised me she'd fix it, but then she also promised to marry me.



Edit: well color me fucking surprised, it is blinking! Woo Hoo, it isn't blinking in the list, so I thought it was still catatonic. She kept her word! That means she really will marry me.



Edited again: oh nevermind, it stops blinking if you stare at it long enough. I'll cancel the wedding.

I like this one becuase in another forum I used to post at about a year ago, this was there. I used it as my favorite smilie becuase it reminds me of me. Then a user whom I had become friends with said "Aliki-chan(my nickname then), are you pertending to be an angel?" It always stuck to me.

I used to not like the smileys because when I had dial up at my house I couldn't load pages because it was to much for my computer to handle. Each message would overlap and cause my computer to crash. I actually had to stop comign to the board for a couple of months. But now that I am at college and I have this wonderful fast connection in my dorm I love the smileys. In fact I even save them and use them when I'm IMing my little cousin.



I do this a lot myself. My friends always make fun of me, but what can I say, I'm a big waver.... I have a lot of "One Person Dance Parties" during my late night studying.... Since I"m a Litt major, this is how I spend the majority of my time... but I always wish that I could just be doinn this ... and my general hatrid of all school work.



And how could I resist these. These are just adorable...
