It’s Friday the 13th MKF! 08/13/04

There hasn’t been a daily thread for quite a while so I take this opportunity to create this one.

Not because it’s Friday, not because it’s the 13th but because it’s well....Friday the 13th ! Me, I do not believe in superstition: I believe it brings bad luck so I stay well away from this whole concept. Any of you avoid doing things on this particular date? Anything really bad happened that you would blame on this date? I’m not curious or nosy; just inquisitive!

I was just talking to someone about this. My kid sister didn't go to school today, and it suddently dawned on my that it could have been because it's Friday 13th as she's very superstitious. Me? Not at all.

Oh I had not even noticed it is Friday the 13th. What a day to start the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. Now I just know there will be a boo boo like in Seoul when they released those pigeons that settled down in the big bowl after which they ignited the Olympic flame, thereby roasting said pigeons.

I LOVE Friday the 13th.



I was born on one and the last couple of them have been really great.



I never do anything special on them, just I am usually in a better mood because of them.

I broke my hand 4 weeks ago, and my plaster should have been removed today, but noooooo, the doctor knew better of course. I still have to wear that stupid thing for 2 weeks.







I should have gone to the doctor yesterday, I'm sure the x-ray image would have looked different yesterday, yep definitively.



But actually I don't believe Friday the 13th is a bad luck day or something, my niece is born on one, so yay for the 13th Fridays

Yep, Friday the 13th and I'm sitting here watching the local news waiting for Hurricane Charley to make its way through Orlando tonight. Power is still on and wind and rain aren't too bad at this point, but about 8pm EST this area should be getting the brunt of the hurricane.

Friday the 13th bad luck day definitively a NO NO for me. But....every other day yup bad luck there for example yesterday I was just walking a long and this reallllly old men didn't see me, so he chucks a bucket filled with water into the street. You can already guess it I was soaking wet.



Ooooh and vacation they are definitively a high risk factor! If I'm not running a way from a wild donkey than there will be something els happening. But that is a other story if you want to hear that one just ask.



So I don't believe in extra bad luck on Friday the 13th it's just a normal day for me.

Friday the 13th, I’m not really one who believes to much in the superstition. But for arguments sake let me tell you what happened today. Traffic. Traffic happened. Mr. Bush decided he needed to visit and have dinner in the Pacific Northwest. Why you ask (as if it was not obvious) to raise money. Seems $250 gets you in and $25,000 gets you a photo with him.





I will get off the rant I was about to start, and tell you that so far the day has not ended so bad, found out my best friends parents are safely out of harms way in Florida, so I can rest easy about them. But all my good thoughts are now directed at all the people that may be affected more directly by the hurricane.



Also to all the kittens in Chicago, enjoy the kitten gathering and stay warm and dry!

I locked myself in the room and stayed there all day. Lol. Only joking. I am, however, very superstitious. No walking on cracks in the pavement, walking under ladders or putting new shoes on the table for me... Lol. But nothing really bad happened to me today. No real weirdness. i did however, one year, almost got hit back a car on friday the 13th... that wasn't pleasant.

I love Friday the 13th. I'm another Kitten born on a fri 13th. For me they are always good luck days, since i was technically clinically dead when born. ( they lost my heartbeat and I had already went through the 'after death body cleansing thing' ) And yet, here I am... posting away and living.

Haha...Ashleigh left on a plane for Chicago this morning and was all worried about the flight 'cause it's Friday the 13th. She got there fine though.

i never believed in friday the 13th, but from now on...

my gf, well now ex-gf, broke up with me, after more than 2 1/2 years... we were on break since more than two weeks, but all this time i kept hope, i was absolutely sure it couldn't be the end, and i still can't believe it's all over.

i can't bear the fact that she won't be with me, that we won't touch anymore...

everyone says to give it time, that it'll pass and i'll find someone else..well i don't want it to pass, i want to be with HER, no one else. i just wish this was all a bad dream...

I'm fairly superstitious but I tried my best not to let the date get to me because I was driving down in a car pool from New Jersey to North Carolina for an LSM (Lutheran Student Movement) beach retreat. Yup, NC. Very very luckily Hurricane Charlie didn't do to much damage.



And I had tons and Tons of fun!

Oh yes, let me tell you about my Friday the 13th.



I found myself in pain when I got up that day, at first I didn't think much about it. But as the day went on it got worse. So then I go to the pile of shit my town calls a hospital, and after hours in the waiting room they tell me they have to take my appendix out. They tell me it can't wait so they are going to take me into surgery right now. Words cannot express the pain I felt when I woke up. So then they pump me full of drugs and the next thing I know it's Sunday.



I've spent all week in bed, and now I have a three inch purple scar on my stomach. I never believed in Friday the 13th before this, but now I really do think the day is cursed.
