I'll be at the con early and till about 2:00pm only. I have something else going on that night.
I'll be the blonde guy with a goatee wearing a grey Kitten shirt.
Here are my opinions on the various restaurants.
From
www.rosemont.com/restaura...ants.shtmlCarlucci - never eaten there, heard it is good.
Gibsons Steakhouse - good and expensive.
Harry Caray's - touristy expensive.
Morton's of Chicago/Rosemont - very expensive.
Nick's Fishmarket - good, but overrated better sea food can be had.
Rosewood - never been.
Outside of Rosemont (your best bet).
Black Ram - fine. If it were still 1967 and you are in your 50s and smoke all day. Avoid. I hated it.
Bob Chinn's Crab House - hands down the BEST place to eat on this list. Not cheap, but it is casual and it has the best sea food in all of Chicago. Just drive north up River Road. Past Willow rd and you are there. HIGHEST RECOMENDATION.
Gino's East - Chicago style Pizzaria. Not bad, there are better of course, but this is really good.
Giordano's - a half a step down (in my opinion) from Gino's. But it is a step that only a Chicagoan would know or care about.
Maria's Mexican Restaurant - Really good. I recomend the black bean soup.
Shoeless Joe's - more touristy stuff.
Augie's Doggies Ltd. - SOOOO Goood. Home of a deep fried hot dog. Bring your Lipitor.
Not listed.
Papa Duexs - Cajun seafood at it's best. A step down from Chinn's, but Chinns is at the very top, this is still better than anything else for miles. Just a quick trip up Higgins/Algonquin Ave.
Cuisine of India – Indian food restaurant and buffet. So good. Get’s busy around 8:00pm, so if you go at 5:00-6:00 and it is empty, don’t despair it’s not because it is bad (far from it). I highly recommend the Tandorri Chicken and the Butter Chicken. On Elmhusrt north of O’Hare/Rosemont.
Kampi – Japanese steak house and sushi bar. Right next door to Cuisine of India.
There are only about 1000 good places to eat.
Keep in mind that a lot of Chicago area restaurants are smoke free. But nearly all have alcohol. Remember, this was the only place in the country where you could actually get a drink when the 18th Amendment was still law.
If you need any more recommendations ask here or email me.

Me: I think I'll have a mid-life crisis and bring home a little red convertible Vette.
My wife: Fine, as long as you don't bring home some little red-head.
