Well, I was born in Birmingham, England, which is famous for.....errr.....oh...yeah, canals and Gas street basin and UB40 then I lived in London for about 8 years zipping about as a motorcycle messenger...

Now I live in a small town called Stanley in the north east of England about 8 miles from Durham. We dont have Mcdonalds, KFC, BurgerKing, PizzaHut, Wimpy etc....but there are horses, illegal trotting races, pidgeons, greyhounds and whipets and guns lots of guns but never any shootings (of people that is). But the schools are very good and it's pretty safe for kids and My daughter loves living here.

Oh and we get snow at christmas!!!

Hey, Medic4, you go to College Station? That's really cool! My sister is in the ROTC down at the Galveston campus, and absolutely loves it. It's usually a great place when it's not in a hurricane warning :) Of course, A&M rocks.

There seems to be a lack of UK kittens posting in this thread so....

Well here I am, back after what seems like a long absence.........

I live in a little coastal town in North West Wales, which goes by the picturesque name of Pwllheli [salt pool]. Any further west and you are likely to step of the edge of the world.

Lived on the Llyn Peninsula all my life apart from college sojourns in such magnetic places as Chester, Aberyswyth, Plymouth, and as a way of getting the city out of your system - London.

Night life largely consists of Pubs, getting drunk and shagging [or so I'm told ;) ]...but on the other hand the air is clean, the sea is clear, there are mountains to walk in and the sailing is ace, the surfing somewhat less so.

And it rains less here than in Manchester, although Ruth may argue otherwise :)

I don't see anyone from Malaysia. :(

I'm was born in Kuala Lumpur and bred in a small city called Ipoh (where serves one of the best Chinese cuisines around South East Asia is serves). 24 hours non-stop of food. Ipoh is a nice place surrounded by limestone hills and marble is produced here. I lived here for about 18 years.

After that I went back to Kuala Lumpur for part of my college years. Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia where it's 24 hours a day of entertainment that I don't take advantage of. I've always lived in big cities. :)

Now where are all the Malaysian kittens????????

My town is "Our Town", also known by it's more mundane name of Newcastle, Australia.

It's the gateway to the Hunter Valley, one the two top wine-making regions of Australia, it used to be a steel town, the main steelworks is gone but there's still some heavy industry, a busy port, coal mines, a university, lots of parks, beaches, good cycling roads, art galleries and a decent regional museum. The summers are hot, winter nights and the beer are cold.

I live in Palmyra, New Jersey, a small town that is a suburb of Philadelphia PA.

Home will always be an equally small town in West Virginia (Grafton) which is near the larger WV towns of Morgantown, Clarksburg and Fairmont (born in Clarksburg, went to WVU in Morgantown).

I spent one year at university in Durham, England before moving to Philadelphia to go to grad school at UPenn.
