It's Semi-Secret and Secret Dreams Wednesday, MKF! 10/27/04

Daily thread! Daily thread! Daily thread!

What's your semi-secret dream?

I have many semi-secret dreams. One is to save up enough money to go to rally school (where you learn to drive in rally races, like this and this but hopefully not like this, heh). I can't think of very many things I think would be more fun than rally racing.

It's a semi-secret because I'm not into racing or cars at all, because I don't seem the type. But it's not a secret in the sense that I hope no one ever finds out I want to do it, because, well, I just told the whole world, didn't I?

What's your secret dream? I have a few dreams that are somewhat more secret, like my desire to walk out on my life, take every cent I have, buy a motorcycle, and find my way to Peru.

And, of course, I have the secretest of secret dreams, but those are...secret.

Happy Wednesday, Kittens! :heart I know y'all are full of semi-secret and secret dreams that really, really, really want to come out, right here, right now. Set them free! (If you want to unleash a secretest dream or two, I think we're all nosey enough to read it for you. ;) )

maudmac as a rally driver; actually I can see that :)

My secret dream is to be a roadie for Indigo Girls.

The not-so-secret dream at the moment is that our endeavours to buy a house next year will work out okay.

Secret dreams! Cool!

I have many, mostly to do with wanting to scriptwrite, or play soccer for Liverpool FC, which will never happen, because hello! not male. Goddammit. My other semi-secret dream is that my brother will get through his trials to join the Liverpool Academy as a goal-keeper, and go on to play for England, and Liverpool!

*Professional photographer (of the "major NYC gallery show" variety)

*Composer/Arranger (Jazz. An oratorio. A jazz oratorio. Somethin' like that)

GG One of People's "50 Most Beautiful People": hey, why not? :p Out

Oh, and most of all:

*Happily married to the grrl o' my dreams :pray

ETA: Bostonians (and other New Englander's) are living a Secret Dream than many had long almost given up on:

Congrats, Red Sox!

(And may this be an omen---of victory!---of a certain Red Sox fan . . . :pray )

My dream is to be with the love of my life, although that's not possible right now ( as she has departed for the summerland).

However, I do believe that we all can accomplish what we dream for...

Maudmac - A rally driver - cool - I love cars,,,can I be in your pit crew???

Mollig - Go for it - I was a roadie/obsessed fan at one point in my life for about 3 years,it was great.

Amberbensontotallyrules4eva - Script-write - I can't wait to read the dialog - soccer - go for the Olympics - I'll root for ya! And I dream that your brother will make it and play for the great England and Liverpool

GG - I know you have a future (we all do,it's called destiny, and you have a great one), US Senator - I'll move there just to cast my vote for you. Novelist - I have no doubt that it will be a best seller (smut I hope). Professional Photographer - you can take my picture anytime (when I become the subject of what might appear in the "Major NYC gallery show variety)(PS I'm originally from NY , Long Island to be exact).

"GG" - Already one of "The Kittens 50 Most Beautiful People" , People Magazine soon to follow...

Happily married to the grrl o' your dreams - she's out there - she may be closer to you than you know - just listen to, and with your heart.

Xita - Com'on I have my CDL...cross country here we come.

You a DJ - great lets dance, see ya in the clubs.

So that's it, I dream that we all get what we dream for,

Have a good-night and sweet dreams to all.

GG,

I don't think I could be a senator, I was actually telling the truth.I wouldn't get elected anyway because I believe in gay rights,as all of us Kittens do.

PS been around for a while now.

Good talking to ya,

Keep on dreaming.....

Oooo ok, resurrecting a thread, look at me.

So, secret dream?

To move to Lanzarote and work in a bar. Although I want to do it, I find the whole living in a different country with a different language and all by my lonesome thing just a tad intimidating, so therefore, it remains a secret dream. Perhaps if I wasn't alone then I wouldn't hesitate.

Actually, come to think of it, I would do that in Australia too.

Ooh, I have so many.

Run my own law firm for a few years, and actually be nice to the staff, and pay them properly, and thank them when they do a good job. And work harder than everyone else, rather than sitting back and being a back-slapping old fart with a superiority compex. Sorry, that got rather more bitter than I meant it to...

Then I want to retire to run a pub. Quite fancied running the one on Lundy, which is a tiny island off the Cornish coast. There is only one pub on the island, so there's no need for pesky marketing or being competitive, just pulling pints.

The really wild dream is to learn to drive a lorry. One of those enormous ones with a turning circle of about 3 miles, a CB radio, a cab with a grubby curtain, and a dog that sticks it's head out of the window and lets the wind flap it's ears back. I watched too much Pigeon Street as a child, and have wanted to be Long Distance Clara for as long as I can remember...

You know, Boschi. Sometimes when I read a post of yours, I laugh. A lot.
Half the time I don't think you're trying to be funny, that's what makes it funny. I mean funny as in that it's just amusing to me, not in a negative way. ( The repeat this and I shall eviscerate you with a rusty, dull spoon part not your dream part)

I just had to tell you, because that cracked me up.

Oh, bugger it, I don't think that came out right.

Oooh, neat thread.

Secret dream? To move to Ornskoldsvik (Sweden), and open a bar. Then, to have Tommy Salo walk in and order a beer one day so I can tell him in person how much I admire him and that he's always been one of my heroes. And then, he and Amy and I could enjoy some of the best fishing in the world.

Okay, I've thought too much about this. But it would be sweet.

okay, BRAIN. I didn't have time to post before I had to leave for work, but my not-so-secret dream is to retire at 45 and write. And spend as much time at home without needing to go out.

Isn't "partner in a law firm" and "nice" an oxymoron? I won't go all out to say lawyer, since I'm surrounded by lawyers in my family (gf too). I've met some nice partners, but they're usually still salary partners; once they get to equity partnership somehow their niceness disappears.

Ohhh that's a cool thread.

My secret dream is to have a rock band and play the bass. And own a van.

My semi secret dream is to work as a bartender in underground night clubs in Europe and use drinks as pick up lines, like 'Can I give you a Screaming Orgasm' or 'My shift is over in 30 min, what do you say you and me have Sex on the Beach together?'. It's kinda lame but it's the best I've thought so far

Oh, cool thread, thank to Auburn for ressurecting it :)

Okay, my semi-secret dream is to buy myself a big yacht, learn to sail it, & sail around the world.

A few (actually 6) years ago, I had a dream about moving to Italy & opening my own cafe, with a little play area for kiddies, & ballet lessons in a studio at the back (that part was dependent on the girl I was crushing on moving to Italy with me though - she wanted to be a dance teacher).

I just remembered another one.

To live in a log cabin, by a lake, surrounded by trees, living without electricity, where money has no value and everything I have, I've made.

Well this is a 'secret dreams' thread :lol

To be a great author like Sally, Watty, Deborah, AntigoneUnbound, Easiersaid, Useful Oxymoron, Binky . . . then take all their stories and film them, edit them, and produce a 24 hour Willow and Tara Channel.

And somewhere in between, I'd like to travel the world, play bar chords without breaking my wrist, have a drink in every state, become a sky-diving instructor, and win three Oscars for best editing. Yes, three of them.

That sounds like Lundy to me...you should try it. I discovered that everything I thought was essential, isn't. All that matters is a pint of cider from apple trees you can see out of the window, and a good casserole made from the sheep in the top paddock.

And a thick coat, it was bloody windy.

Bliss...

I don't have a very big dream. My dream is to meet a girl who I could spend the rest of my life with. Someone that our relationship could be based solely on the fact that we could lay in bed talking all night. I don't want some to screw. I won't someone I can talk to. :x

And That is all my dreams for now.(Well I wouldn't mind a house and kids as well, but girl should come first) :-D

Then maybe you shouldn't go by yourself, Auburn. You still wouldn't need to come back but, as Pooh says, some things are friendlier with two...
