Found this via google (it's been a long long time since I used to play it on my C64):

After you jump on the bubble to get to the space invaders just fire bubbles really quickly and if you got some in bubbles jump onto the empty space, duh!

I love video games...a lot.

Has anyone played Fear Effect:Retro Helix?

I love that game and it has lesbians...what else do you need in a game? Nothing.

Has anyone else noticed that Rain kind of looks like Tara...just a little? Maybe it's the blonde hair blue eyes thing.

Ghostinthesnow -- you do mean The Master, right? Just so we're on the same page.

It's actually not that hard once you get the hang of it. Just keep grabbing him and throwing him on the big stake that's positioned in the cliff. That seems to bring his health down rather quickly.

It's been a while since I've played it, so as soon as I'm done here I'll pop it in and see if there were any other things you could use to help you beat him.

Shinnen -- Willow does look a little weird, and her voice isn't all that wonderful. After a while you get used to it, I guess. :sigh But you'll love all the extras. I just unlocked the Amber Benson voice-over highlights. They're great! By far much more interesting than any of the other actors' highlight reels. I can't wait to get to the outtakes.

Well, Stacy, I hate to prod you about it, but my very geeky gamer friends say that Windwaker is the best video game they've ever played. Ever. Eventhough I've never played it, I have to recommend it just from word-of-mouth from my friends.

Groovy angelofinsanity, I definately agree with you OoT is the best one. I just wish I had a super nintendo so I could play A Link to the Past, good times, good times.

The WindWaker has pretty awesome gameplay, and the cel shaded graphics are a refreshing change, even though I do miss the more mature apperances of OoT.

I don't want to start a massive fight about the best video game but I feel I have to step in here and say that IMHO the best game ever made is Silent Hill 3 :) I even named one of the characters in my story after one of the characters from this game.

As to the Sims, that's a great game. Some of the expansion packs are a bit lame but some were pretty good. Such as Hot Date (I can't remember the American name). Being able to have your sims go out on dates is pretty cool, as is watching them play footsie. Also I had to get the pets pack just so that my Willow and Tara could have a Miss Kitty Fantastico.

Re: video games

Postby WebWarlock » Wed Oct 01, 2003 6:22 am

Well if blood and carnage is your style then I have got the game for you. And if you like sexy redheaded vampires, well so much the better.

Bloodrayne is out for the PC. It was out for the consoles last year.

www.bloodrayne.com/

Here is a blurb from the game.

Quote:

In 1932 an American teenage girl was apprehended in Europe after carving a path of destruction trying to track down and kill her biological father. The girl's name was Rayne and she claimed the people she killed, and her father who was still at large, were vampires. Before more information was attained, the girl disappeared.

That girl is a Dhampir; a product of her human mother's rape by her vampire father. Born with powers of a vampire without all of the weaknesses. She was taken in by an underground organization calling themselves the Brimstone Society--a top-secret fraternity that hunts down and destroys supernatural threats. Agent BloodRayne, as she is now known, protects humanity from things that ordinary people shouldn't have to deal with.

Storyline

In the years between the World Wars, Agent BloodRayne works as a killing machine for a top secret fraternity, The Brimstone Society, that hunts down and destroys supernatural threats. Two missions, five years apart, turn out to be connected by one man. For years, this man has been searching the world for powerful occult relics to bring Germany into a new age of domination. Agent BloodRayne must face this man's elite Nazi army to prevent them from releasing creatures of unfathomable terror onto the world in their unwavering quest for the relics. Agent BloodRayne will brave the darkest backwater bayous of Louisiana, a formidable German Sub-bay and mysterious temple in Argentina, and an immense vampire-infested cathedral-like castle in Germany. She finds more than an isolated outbreak of mutated humans and Swamp creatures. She catches a glimpse of a much larger plot - a plot perpetrated by her soon-to-be nemesis, Jurgen Wulf, to find powerful relics that will enable the Germans to rule the world.

So yeah it is your basic kill the zombies, kill the Nazis, kill the vampires and kill the demons kind of game. But it is rather cathartic.

I did read a review of Bloodrayne comparing it to the Buffy game. The reviewer summed it up like this. "Buffy is a cheerleader. Rayne is a killer."

Plus she kind of looks like Vamp Willow.

They are already making a sequel and I also hear a movie is in the works.

The game is a lot of fun and I have really been enjoying it.

And of course, to keep my geek infested roots intact, I wrote up RPG stats for her.

Okay, 'cause I love video games, I wanna join the discussion. :D I never really played Might & Magic, but I think my brother did and I always watch him play his games. I dunno, sometimes I think it's even more fun just watching. Like when he started playing the GBA Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I hate FFT, 'cause I find the game style really annoying, but I LOVED watching him play the game on the Game Cube thingy that lets you play GBA games. Go figure. :lol

Someone mentioned Heroes of Might & Magic! I think I remember that game. Isn't that the one where you build the castles and conquer more castles and can create wizards and dragons and all that? I loved that game! Wow, that brings back memories. :)

Okay, I could ramble on and on... don't mind me. I have to go and try and play the new Buffy game, soon. I have it, but the game makes me dizzy and motion sick. Blech... But what I've seen has been cool. It was awesome playing as Willow early in the game and hearing Tara say all the hints and tips, saying stuff like 'Willow, you're stronger than you even know...'. So cute!

hey, insanity! good to know! :D

but i have to agree with you about ix... it really is quite shit. they shouldn't have buckled under the pressure to use new drivers *sigh* it was perfectly fine 2d thank you very much ;)

... i don't suppose you'd happen to have played viii on xp have you? i could play it fine on my old shitty computer but not on this one, i think it's an incompatibility with xp *sigh*.

but aw well, i'll just stick to playing vii over and over and over again, there's nothing wrong with that, eh?

and hey xita; the irritating tune is the best part! ;)

yes heroes is the one where you get dragons and troglodytes (heh) and conquer other castles, and might and magic is like a first person version of that, but well, with 4 people. and there's only a few castles. and you can't conquer them. shame.

hey; does anyone else like morrowind? morrowind is cool. you can steal people's things and sell them back to them. and sleep in their bed :) hooray.

Grand Theft Auto is my current obsession. I'm working my way through Vice City at the moment and thanks to it I have 80's songs going through my head 24/7, and I am ashamed to say I love em!

It is just such a rocking game, the best ever made!! There's nothing like cruising along the road along the beach on my newly "aquired" motorbike as the sun goes down and singing along to Kim Wilde's Kids in America, knowing that I own this town and have lots and lots of money... Okay, i'm materialistic, so what! It's not a crime is it?:p That money was hard earned, albeit illegally.:whistle
