I loved, loved, LOVED this movie!

I almost started up the Wives of Bath last month, but just didn't have time. I want to read it, but the movie set up (in my mind) who the characters are and I think I would have a hard time seeing Paulie as mentally unstable (although she's definitely got some probs in Lost and Delirious) and I can't see Mouse with a hump on her back (it's also set in the 60's right?). I actually really liked the characters of Paulie and Tory together as a couple and surfed the web trying to see if there were any fanfiction sites about their relationship....but couldn't find any. In a dream world, Tory would have realized her mistake and returned to Paulie, which I think would have still made for a great movie....but then again it would have been a romance instead of a drama, and I guess the writers weren't looking for that. Anywhoo....have a great day!

I think the book was set in the 60's.

You know when I first saw the movie I really felt jipped by the end but I have to say it's a good movie 'cause it's stayed in my consiousness' the part where Tori betrays herself and Paulie by denying her true feelings always gets me in the heart. What I carry from the movie is to be true to your self and your love. That's all you have. Peace

I absolutely love "Lilo and Stitch" it still cracks me up everytime i watch it.

Lilo is to cute she reminds me of my girlfriends sister, she just says whatever is in her head, very funny.

Hey, has anyone else seen Finding Nemo? My Mom and I went to see it last Friday in lieu of the Hulk (too crowded), and I must say that I'm glad we did. It was an incredibly fun and sweet movie about a clown fish named Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks) who's overly protective of his only son, Nemo. Nemo gets kidnapped by a diver who puts him in a tank in his dental office. Marlin then goes out to find him and runs into a fish named Dori (voiced by Ellen Degenres!) with short term memory loss and ADD. Together they have all sorts of adventures including killer jellyfish, surfer dude turtles, and getting swallowed by a whale. It's fast paced and funny. Like most of Pixar's films, it's a movie that can be enjoyed by adults as well as children. While I still liked Lilo and Stitch more, I have to admit that Finding Nemo comes a close second on my list of great animated films. I can't recommend this movie enough.

The whole story was great until the last part and it's just so disturbing it totally pissed me off and i'm the least pissofable person in the world. i actually felt used and dirty after reading it, just like when i saw the film lost and delirious. i'm tired of crazy lesbians or suicidal lesbians or any of that crap. i'm so over it.

I just came back from attending a charity premiere screening of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. It was a lot better than I expected the movie to be. Lotsa comedy, action and of course.... boobs and butts galore. Plenty of ass whipping *whack* Anyway... other than some rather badly put together EFX... the movie was interesting. Kickass villian... and well... guest appearance of one original Angel from the tv series. On the whole, for a totally female action flick, i give it 8/10 solely for the women... and action.

Oh I am definitely going to see Charlie's Angels. I loved the first part. I prefer a movie like this over pseudo intellectual depressions that pass for movies any day. Also, Lucy Liu, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz all in one movie, yum, you can make me watch that anytime.

Ok Anne, its good to see that I'm not the only one who has seen Finding Nemo. I absolutely love that movie. I have seen it like 4 times now and I might be seeing it again tonight....I know, I'm sad, but the movie cracks me up. I must say that I love the character Dory cause she is just the funniest one in there....the whole forgetfulness and then the speaking whale.....oh yeah too damn funny. I almost start to cry when she tells Marlin that when she is around him she is home.....just makes my heart clench and sigh a lot.....and now that I have just made a huge fool of myself I'll be going now......have a lovely day all the kittens....

I love " Hedwig and the angry inch " Soooo much. I mean it's really fabulous, emotional and full with passionated charecters!!! It's the most strangely wicked musical film I've ever seen.



It makes " Velvet Goldmine " feel like a naive child.



One of that good films that is fun to watch and not fall into sleep before it ended because...it's too...intellectual

I found an extended version of Fried Green Tomatoes. It had a tiny bit more subtext, outtakes that were hysterical and interviews that showed that Mary Stuart Masterson picked up on the subtext. If you liked this movie then I would recommend this version, it sticks even closer to the book.



Oh and I saw Charlies Angels: Full Throttle last night. It was very camp and very funny. The anal jokes were and the outtakes at the end had the whole theatre laughing.

I saw Charlie's Angels Full Throttle as well a few days ago and it was hilarious. I loved part one because you know, with Lucy Liu, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz in one movie you cannot go wrong, but this one was even better.



The action sequences were so beyond ridiculous that it works, because they were obviously not even trying to be believable or take themselves seriously (unlike action stunts in movies like James Bond). I have lost count of how many movies and tv shows they made fun of, but not in that clownesque Leslie Nielsen Naked Gun movies kind of way. This was so much better. The best part for me was the Crime Scene Investigation blurb. I won't go into details but you just have to look at Cameron Diaz and try not to laugh. She is insane! Starting from scene one. She is totally not worried about what people will think of her. It was priceless. The movie slowed down a bit in the second half, though Demi Moore makes up for it. She looked so good and was so deliciously bad. Yum. I really look forward to the DVD so I can see the extras.

WOW...



I don't even know where to begin with this movie.



I have to admit, it wasn't as good as the second one, but I still enjoyed it. Alot of questions were answered and made more sense after seeing this. I just wish James Cameron had directed this one.



It wasn't the same without without Linda Hamilton. It had Arnold though, and that's a major plus in my book! Just knowing that Arnold is game for more Terminator movies is very exciting. And the premise of at least one more, makes me extremely happy!



Nich Stahl, who played John in this, is already signed up for two more! YAY!!



Anyway...



I've seen this three times now and look forward to the DVD when it comes out! I'm wondering what deleted scenes will be on the DVD?



Did anyone else absolutely love the actress who played the T-X? OMG... she's fucking hot!







She had me drooling! She played that role very well and oozed sexiness. Her eyes are amazing!

I saw Hulk recently which was a very good film.



The use of split screens was a bit distracting at first, but when I got used to it helped give the film a comic booky feel.



The hulk himself did look a bit unrealisitc at times but he was certainly a step up from Lue Ferago in green make up.



So it seems that the run of good comic based films has continued.

I just saw this fantastic Australien film. it's really good! It's this really funny film about this rather backward (shall we say) family and their neighbours who are about to get kicked out of their homes by the expanding airport next door, and they all try to stop them. It's a really heartwarming film with great lines and comedy, and I really recommend it to anyone. Becuase it's really good!



Also, Pirates of the Caribbean was one of the best films I've seen in recent times. It's bloody brilliant!

Relax?! With three giant alligators knocking the house down?!?.

I went and saw Bad Eggs last night, and that was another good Aussie movie. If you were a fan of the D-Generation and "The Late Show" on the ABC, then you will probably like this. It's classic Tony Martin humour, with a bit of a dramatic storyline to help it along. It's not as good as The Castle, but I thought it was better than Crackerjack.



As for non-Aussie movies. My all time favorite would have to be Spaceballs. It just came out on DVD about a month ago in Australia and I was so excited!

XANADU Rocks!!!!!!



Everytime I see someone mention this movie I have to throw my two cents in....I loved, loved, loved, loved Xanadu. this past Christmas the gf bought it for me on DVD. Re-watching it now I really have to wonder about my childhood. I fell in love with Olivia Newton-John when I was younger and this movie was part of the reason. ~~heavy sigh~~



I'm pretty sure that by today's standards this movie is bottom of the barrel crap, but I will love it forever. In college my best friend and I used to have theme movie weekends. I always looked forward to ONJ weekend. Grease, Xanadu, and Two of a Kind I suppose this is part of the reason why my best friend wasn't surprised when I finally came out to her.



Anyway, other movies that made our theme weekends were:

Barefoot in the Park and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

Beaches, Steel Magnolias, and Shawshank Redemption

Has anyone been to see the movie Camp? I saw it yesterday and was just blown away. It is so fabulous. The actors and actresses are amazingly talented. There were times when I had tears in my eyes, other times I felt like standing up and cheering (of course due to my lurkerness I didn't want to bring attention to myself).



I went straight (well not really, ) to Borders and bought the soundtrack.



Well worth your time.
