Two versions of Radio Sunnydale?

Postby fluffylamb » Wed Nov 05, 2003 2:06 pm

I wasn't sure where to toss this question, but it is about the new Radio Sunnydale CD that was released a month or so ago. I read one tracklist online that has "I Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and "Goodbye to You," but the version at the local Barnes and Nobles has neither track. Is there a different UK/Europeon version? Those songs make the CD worth buying. I'd love to find a version that includes them. Thanks.

cattwoman98111, the mods had been considering a thread for just such issues for a while now. Something more for discussing things like capital punishment, abortion, and such. Something different from the politics thread.

So you can take your question to our brand new Current Events/Issues Thread.

Thanks, Lilac, for confirming my suspicions. I know one thing that's going on my shopping list when I head to Ireland. I wonder why the two W/T-centric songs were left off the US version. That's so weird. Thanks again.

hey fluffylamb glad to help :)

I would hold off buying it 'till you get to Ireland too!!

i checked the song lists and you got ripped off in the U.S only 12 tracks??? when the U.K version has 21 tracks (including the two W/T centric ones)

but im with you there have no idea why it was done like that :hmm

(but im not complaining about getting more tracks over here :D )

Re: Argument and Persuasion class

Postby Yelowsub » Thu Dec 04, 2003 12:02 pm

I know that a lot of people come here looking for help on homework. But this isn't so much a question, just a comment...

In my Argument and Persuasion Gender Studies class we watched the movie Better Than Chocolate and then write an outline on it.

First of all, is this even suspose to actually count as work? Because it doesn't seem like it.

Second, Wow when watching the movie at home (I missed half of the movie because of thanksgiving vacation) I started crying when Judy was being beaten up in the bathroom.

So I have to come up with a claim to the warrent...

"Visual objects that deal with sex and sexuality seem to be tolerated whereas written material that deals with sex and sexuality seems to be controversial."

Edited to change prevsious confused question to...

I am so happy after my 2:30 class I was walking to the cafeteria when I had a breakthrough. I figured out my claim and I have more than enough evidence. WEEEEE :::spins around in chair:::

Web Hosting

I have a question (hence the name of the thread, and I realize that I am postign two things in a row, but they are unrelated)

...does anyone know about any great places that can host web images for free? I found one but it puts a banner on the bottom of my image.

Re: Web Hosting

Postby Jennpurr » Mon Dec 08, 2003 9:10 pm

Yelowsub,

How about Photo Country? I have alot of my images hosted there. You DO have to download software, Photo wizard- there's a link at the top of the page, from the site to use it to upload them to the web. It's fairly simple and as far as I know, there isn't a limit on size.

However, it won't let you upload animated images. It will allow gif's, but they won't be animated after uploaded.

Hope that helps.

Check the last pages of the Computer Hardware and Software thread, MaclayMagic is having the same problems I think. Some of the more computer smart people on this board have been giving helpful tips. :)

I can't answer the questions about Lisa :( , I hope she is doing ok.

WebWarlock probably knows more than I do, but the last time I talked to Lisa she said she was doing better. She's recovering. She said she has her bad days, but is getting better.

I know she's still writing, but I can't tell you anything about when to expect an update. You could e-mail her. I'm sure she'd appreciate hearing from kittens. :heart

Thread Re-name for Space

Moderators Fantastico:

I'm really excited about the landing of the Spirit rover on Mars, and want a place to discuss it. :geek Instead of starting a new thread, I went looking for an appropriate one, and found the "shuttle emergency weekend" thread (which BTW already had a non-shuttle space story on it).

Would you please re-name it the "Space Exploration Thread"? Thanks!

Lost thread

Postby Patches » Sat Jan 17, 2004 9:22 pm

Some (fairly long) time ago, we had a general writing discussion thread. I checked the index but couldn't find it (likely it's there and I missed it). If anyone has a quick link to it, I'd appreciate a hand (or at least a better pair of glasses, or maybe a fully functioning brain if I skipped over it). Mods, if it's archived, can it be resurrected?

Cheers!!

MTV clip

Postby Jennpurr » Tue Jan 20, 2004 2:52 pm

Hey kittens,

Hopefully one of you will know about this and can help me out. Does anyone know where I can DL the short spoof that MTV did for Lord of the Rings? All I can remember is that, Sarah Michelle Gellar was in it. I believe it was from 2001 or 2002. I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks in advance,

Jen

I don't know where you can download it, but if you own the Fellowship of the Rings extended DVD set, the MTV clip is hidden on disc 1. (Its a secret "easter egg".)

here's how to find it:

(from dvdeastereggs.com)

go into the Scene Selection menu on disc one, and head to the final page where you'll find the real Council of Elrond scene. Highlight that scene and press "down" to find an image of the Ring. Press enter to view the entire clip from MTV complete with an introduction from Peter Jackson.

No, I don't believe that is true at all. I know I didn't wait six months from the time I got my passport till the time I went to England. It takes a while to get the passport when you apply for it, but if you already have it, there is no waiting.
