The Secret Marraige by Sting

Look around you, look up here

Take time to make time, make time to be there

Look around, be a part.

Feel for the winter but don't have a cold heart.

And I love you best, you're not like the rest.

You're there when I need you, you there when I need

I'm gonna need you

Here's an easy one...

Hanging on a frequency and burning like a fire,

boy you've got the motion down, it's getting late, I'm tired

and I've lost control, don't leave me here, time is running out,

take me down the highway like a rocket to the ocean,

we can run,

today could last another million years,

today could be the end of me...

Mserychic,

Actually, I didn't know that Tori Amos did that song. The Boontown Rats did it originally in 1979. Hey but you got the title so Yay for that.

Rebel Girl! By Bikini Kill! I'm loving this Kathleen Hanna action! I saw Tribe 8 open for Le Tigre once. Their last song the introduced by saying that they wrote it in the eighties, and everybody always wondered who it was about. They then siad that it was about Kathleen Hanna, of course, and asked "how many of you dykes in the audience have crushes on her?" There was cheering, then they dedicated the song to her, from "us, and all the other dykes who love her" and then they broke into a funny dykey cover of Bikini Kill's Rebel Girl "They say she's a dyke, but I know, she is my girlfriend, yeah." It was so great.

Aaaaand The Boys of Summer, covered by so so many people and virtually a cliche in music media. The phrase, not the song.

My lyrics:

Spaghetti is from China but Italians make it best

Ants can make an anthill and monkeys make a nest

Hungary isn’t hungry

And French fries aren’t from France

Turkeys aren’t from Turkey – they can’t fly but they can dance

BIKINI KILL - Rebel Girl

I never will forget those nights

I wonder if it was a dream

Remember how you made me crazy?

Remember how I made you scream

Now I don't understand what happened to our love

But babe, I'm gonna get you back

I'm gonna show you what I'm made of

(grin) A bit of a departure from the dykey music that's been reigning, Jenpurr. I'm not going to toss in the answer yet, but I wanted to respond - the Le Tigre/Tribe 8 show was in San Diego, but surely of the same tour. I moshed with Lynn Breedlove!!! and she kissed me.
