I am a particularly annoying happy sod at the best of times but I am happy at the moment simply because of one person. One girl.

Anyone who can put up with my endless sarcasm, teasing and kidding has to be a special person. And she is. Wonderfully special. So I just wanted to thank her. For being her and making me talk like a soppy romantic.

And I bet you all thought I was gonna be here talking about the football...well now that I am here...all I can say is RUUUUUUUD and 4-0 heh. Just fabulous :grin . Don't worry Stoke are playing later so I'll be in the crappy thread soon enough...

I probably ought to be posting in the crappy feelings thread but I can't bring myself to do it.

My working life is hell and my love life totally screwed up, but hey I have new glasses, I managed to get my hair cut half an hour ago so I have flippy hair again and I am off to see S Club tonight. So life really isn't that bad. :)

Happy!!

Postby mandyanyone » Sat Apr 05, 2003 8:17 am

*sigh*...The other day i was thinking to myself that i am one of the luckiest girls in the world. I mean really...not everyone has a chance to meet and fall in love with someone who makes them happier by the second. Which is why when i met the love of my life i was so not going to let her slip away...i grabbed on tight and i am not letting go for any reason.

I know most everyone has been in love before so they know all the feelings that swim around inside you when you're with that special someone. Like the moment they arrive it's as though everything else around you just disappears...they are the only thing that matters in the now. And how whenever you're apart she's all you can think about...and you think about all the wonderful aspects about her, which in turn only add even more fuel to your fire of love and passion towards her. It's as though at times that if it was possible for your heart to explode with love it would in an instant.

This is how i feel towards this woman and she makes me happier than i have ever been before in my life. It's as though all this time my life has been missing a certain something...and me wandering around unknowingly. But now i am complete...so thank you baby from the bottom of my heart. You are my world...my everything...I love you.

Mandy

mandyanyone: that's really great! Congratulations to you and the woman that makes you so happy.

I'm posting here because of -as geeky as it sounds- academical happiness. Today, I spent the afternoon studying for my Religious Ed exam on Wednesday. One of the main topics is criticism of religion...so I studied Feuerbach, Marx, Freud, Sartre, Nietzsche, Russell and Monod and I just took some time really reading and understanding their basic theories until I felt I could really follow their train of thoughts, which was amazing. I felt that I understood them on an emotional level instead of just memorizing phrases ... this doesn't happen too often. I felt great afterwards and as if I had spent my time doing something useful, as if it brought me a step forward. So...happiness. Yay!

Caz,

I went to the game with my 11 year old nephew. It was a brilliant match to watch, with an electric atmosphere to go with it. Knocking four goals past Liverpool was more than we could have wished for.:applause :applause :applause :applause

Lets hope the reds can keep this momentum going for the remainder of the season.:pray

Is this a Man Utd conspiracy or something?

Ruth,

I too love Roy Keanes thighs. Well he is my favourite Man Utd player, so I have to be loyal to him on the hunky thighs front. Although I must confess that I used to adore Mark Hughes tree trunks, so much so in fact, that I modelled my own thighs totally on his.

Caz, yeah it was awesome. Have you ever been to Old Trafford?

Zippy, a Man Utd conspiracy, on this board, never! :whistle

Hi Zoe, didn't want to disappoint ya :grin

I think 1-1 was a pretty fair result all things considered. And it was very generous of old Toure to score for us. Bless him.

Shame Mr Wenger isn't quite so kind-hearted. Seems he expects opposing teams to play four up front, two at the back and rush goalie.

That said, I still wish Arsenal all the best for the title :)

Hi,

I've just got my ticket concert to see Shakira in concert. In 2 weeks I will see her in Antwerp, Belgium.Yipee :bounce :bounce

Although I got my ticket kinda late, so I'm kinda far from the podium. But I don't mind, as long as I can see her. She can shake :dance whenever, wherever oh yeah, oh yeah. :grin

Mm, sorry, but I'm just so excited to go see her; I waited so long so see her in concert, and finally I will see her. lalala

Ok, me living now

For some strange reason, I have been finding myself in a very happy mood at four in the morning. I sit at my computer and listen to music and suddenly get very giddy. :dance Maybe from exhaustion, but hey, it's still giddiness and it's all good. And I only have four more weeks of classes left this semester and I'm pretty much all caught up on reading and so life is just generally good. Or at least at four in the morning it is. And although my sleep schedule is wacky, I can now take some of the blame out on Daylight Savings Time. Although that only accounts for an hour. But um, I'm going to stop babbling. I also do this at four in the morning, which doesn't so much for my paper writing at four in the morning skills. Okay, stopping now. Wait, no, I'm not, so I normally don't have enough time for reading for fun, like books and stuff, what with all my reading for class, but I've allowed myself some time every evening to read some W/T fanfic, and so I'm working on reading Final Exam right now, and well, let me just say that that adds muchly to the happiness. I'm slowly becoming one of the devoted members of the cult of Ruth or something like that. Okay, really stopping now, I promise. :)

:D Oh no, no, I see no need for any sacrificing of any kind. It seems kind of against the basis, you know? Plus, there are more, um, pressing rituals to attend to, I believe. ;)

On a side note, it seems that not sleeping puts me in a good mood. Hmm. And playing with Animation Shop. Happiness.

Happy things:

Syracuse won the NCAA basketball final! Its first ever! Woo-hoo! My alma mater, even! :dance

Two local papers have won Pulitzer prizes. The Boston Globe won for public service (for its reporting on the priest sex abuse scandal), and the Lawrence (MA) Eagle-Tribune won for breaking news (for their reporting on a terrible accident where four boys drowned in the Merrimack River).

Its nice to have some good news amidst all the chaos in the world today. :)

Lucky you. She is giving a concert in Holland as well at the end of this month. I wanted to buy a ticket, but well, I forgot, go figure. :happy

Anyway, please let us know what it was like. Aside from her being pleasing on the eyes, I really like the way she sings, though not everyone I know likes the nanny type nasal undertone in her voice. She won me over when I saw an interview with her on a Dutch tv show. She was so incredibly nice and well spoken.
