Just loved the way Tara took over and had Willow look into her eyes to focus. The way Willow just got lost in Tara's eyes and relaxed. Very cute.

And, yet, I just can't seem to care

***I'm honored to be posting this on behalf of Spencer who is having "kick-off" issues with AOL lately......ENJOY! :) ***

Part 26

The waiting room was virtually empty when Tara came out. Buffy and Xander were sitting side by side, leaning on one another, sound asleep. The only other person there was Jesse. She was sitting, watching the doors, waiting for someone to emerge. When Tara did, Jesse got up and met her halfway.

"Where is everyone?" Tara asked quietly not wanting to disturb Buffy and Xander.

"They all went home. All the kids were tired and cranky, so Grammy and Grampy took Summer, Harris, Rupert, and Soleil to our house, Anya took Alex and Christopher home. She wanted to be here when the baby came, but Christopher needed to go home. She didn't pack enough baby stuff for an over night. They're all coming back in the morning," Jesse said.

"What time is it?" Tara asked. With all the excitement of the delivery she didn't realize how long it must have taken.

"A little after four," Jesse said. "How's Mom?"

"She's fine, wonderful actually," Tara said. "Come with me," Tara said leading Jesse down the corridor to the nursery window. "I want you to meet your new little sister, Rhiannon Diana Rosenburg-Maclay."

"Rhiannon?" Jesse questioned.

"What's wrong with her name?" Tara asked.

"Nothing, it's just kinda long," Jesse said.

"I like it, and so does your Mom," Tara said.

"If the next baby is a girl, can I name her?" Jesse asked.

"I don't know," Tara said. "I'll have to talk to your Mom."

"Thanks," Jesse said. "I know just what I'll name her."

"I didn't say yes," Tara said as they headed back toward Buffy and Xander.

"Yes you did," Jesse said. "Should we wake them up?"

"No, they can see the baby when everybody else gets here," Tara said. "Do you want to go see your Mom?"

"Yes," Jesse said nodding her head enthusiastcally. She followed Tara through the doors and down the corridor. Willow was sitting up in bed twidling her thumbs.

"You're supposed to be asleep," Tara said chastising her wife.

"I tried, I swear I did, but you know my brain, sometimes it just doesn't stop," Willow said. "Come here," she said to Jesse, reaching out her arms for a hug.

"Are you sure I won't hurt you?" Jesse asked before hugging her mother.

"Positive," Willow said embracing her daughter.

"Oh thank God you're in here," Buffy said bursting through the door then slowing down to a casual pace, Xander bumping into the back of her as he was running fairly close behind her, covering his eyes as soon as he came to a stop. Tara jumped up from her seat next to the bed and whipped around to face the door only to see a very red faced Buffy and Xander. "We woke up and you were gone."

"We thought somebody stole you," Xander said, his hand still covering his eyes, "and we didn't want to interrupt the delivery."

"But we knew we had to tell you that Jesse was missing," Buffy continued, "only she wasn't missing."

"Because she was in here," Xander finished. "So, did you have the baby?"

"First, you guys are spending way too much time togther, and second, yes I had the baby, " Willow said looking down at her less protruding belly with a coy smile on her face. "So you can uncover your eyes, Xander."

"I just didn't want to see anything that I should never see," Xander said removing his hand.

"And believe me, I don't want you to see it either," Willow said. Jesse just rolled her eyes.

"I have a new little sister," Jesse said getting them back on topic. "Rhiannon Diana Rosenburg-Maclay. Don't laugh, they really like the name."

"It's kinda long," Buffy said.

"That's what I said."

"I think it's pretty," Xander said. "We're gonna go down and check out our new niece."

"I'll point her out," Jesse said. "Actually she's really easy to spot. Her name is so long they had to give her a belt instead of a wrist band." Tara was so busy attending to Willow, that neither of them noticed the joke that was made at their expense.

Willow had been resting for what felt to her like an eternity. She was no good with this whole napping thing. It felt like days since Tara left to go have breakfast with Jesse, Buffy, and Xander. She was tired, but she could never sleep when she was alone. Plus she was excited for the other kids to come see her. It was almost eight thirty, she expected them much sooner than this.

"More visitors," Tara said coming into the room holding Soleil, followed by Harris, Summer, and Rupert.

"Did you nap Mommy?" Soleil asked crawling around on the bed trying to find a comfy place to snuggle up to her Mommy.

"Yes, I did," Willow said shifting uncomfortably in the bed. At two and a half, Soleil had no way of knowing how moving on the bed so much might cause some discomfort for a person who just had a baby. "Sit still," Willow said urging her to stop moving so much. Tara noticed this and picked Soleil back up.

"That means we can stay," Summer said plopping down in a chair next to the bed.

"For a few minutes," Tara said.

"How are you feeling?" Harris asked.

"Just a little sleepy," Willow said.

"Do you need more rest?" Tara asked putting Soleil in Summer's lap so she could better attend to Willow.

"I'm okay," Willow said stifling a yawn. "You know how it is when you just wake up."

"No, we'll go," Tara said. "We'll go down and see Rhiannon."

"You really don't have to leave," Willow said.

"Mommy, you need your rest," Harris said. "So stop arguing with Momma and go back to bed."

"Listen to your daughter," Tara said leaning down and kissing Willow gently.

"Gross," Summer said standing up and taking Soleil's hand. Tara smiled lovingly at Willow, and then went to the door.

"Come on, Rupert," Tara said holding the door open for the kids.

"I don't want to," Rupert said sitting in the far corner of the room.

"He can stay," Willow said anxious for the company.

"Be real quiet so Mommy can get some sleep," Tara said. When the door closed, Rupert went back to staring out the window.

"Are you mad at me?" Willow asked. Rupert nodded his head yes, without looking at her. "Will you come over and sit on the bed and tell me what I did?" Again Rupert nodded yes, and walked over and climbed on the bed.

"You had a girl," Rupert said. "I wanted a brother."

"I know," Willow said apologetically, opening her arms, encouraging Rupert to come over for a hug. Rupert complied, and as she put her arms around him she couldn't help but be slightly amused with the logic of her five year old son.

"Then why didn't you have a boy for me?" Rupert asked pouting.

"If I could have, I would have, but that just isn't the way it works," Willow said sympathetically.

"I don't see why not," Rupert said.

"It's all science," Willow said trying to remain empathetic, but having difficulty hiding her amusement.

"Yuck," Rupert said. "I don't want to know how it works then. Why couldn't it be something fun like reading?"

"I don't know," Willow said finally allowing the smile to surface. "Maybe next time you'll get a little brother."

"You're going to do this again? Mommy, I don't want to hurt your feelings, but you went crazy," Rupert said.

"I'm not going to be pregnant again, Momma will," Willow said laughing. At least he was honest enough to tell her.

"Yeah, that's a good idea. Maybe I will get a brother, Momma had me, and I'm a boy," Rupert said hopefully.

"Are you still mad at me?" Willow asked.

"No, I wasn't really mad at you. I just was mad I didn't get a brother. Too many girls," Rupert said scrunching his face up and sticking is tongue out in disgust.

"Hey, I'm a girl," Willow said.

"No, you're not. You're Mommy," Rupert said.

"I'm Mommy, but I'm still a girl," Willow said yawning.

"If you say so," Rupert said snuggling next to Willow and resting his head on her shoulder.

"I think we both need a nap," Willow said.

"Yeah," Rupert said already drifting off, and Willow wasn't far behind.

Part 27

Willow had arranged the family room for the presentation. She had placed a large view screen on one wall and placed the sofa facing it. She brought the over head projector out of her office, and supplied all the kids with a pen and paper.

"I guess you're all wondering why I've called this meeting," Willow said addressing her four oldest children who sat on the sofa facing the view screen. "Now that Rhiannon is home we have a pretty full house, and things haven't been going smoothly around here at all. It's time for you guys to take on some of the responsibilities which is why I've assigned you all chores. I've drawn up a helpful color coded chart to show you all your new chores."

"What's the paper for?" Summer asked.

"So you can take notes and write down your chores," Willow said.

"Why do we have to do chores?" Summer asked.

"Because of the new baby," Jesse said mildly aggitated.

"But that's Momma's job," Summer said.

"No, it is not Momma's job," Willow said. "Momma has a lot to do around here and so do I, and I don't think it's too much to ask that you help out around here. Jesse, can you get the lights?"

"Sure."

"How are we supposed to take notes if the light are off?" Summer asked.

"The light from the projector will be on," Harris said. "Stop asking so many questions."

"Okay, Jesse you're in purple, Harris you're green, Summer you're red, and Rupert you're blue," Willow said.

"Why can't I be blue?" Summer asked. "Blue is my favorite color."

"The color isn't important," Willow said more than a little annoyed with her constant interuptions.

"It's important to me," Summer said.

"Are you going to listen and let me explain the chart, or are you going to keep interrupting, because if you're just going to interrupt go to your room right now," Willow said.

"I'll listen," Summer said.

"Good," Willow said. "Now each chore is written across the top like so. SUMMER!" Willow shouted. Summer had made an airplane out of her paper and threw it across the room in Willow's direction. "Go to your room!"

"But how will understand the chart?" Summer asked mockingly.

"I'll come up and explain it to you later," Willow said.

"I don't care about your stupid chart anyway," Summer muttered under her breath as she stomped up the stairs. "Stupid chart," she said kicking at the carpet as she walked toward the attic stairs.

"Hey," Tara said stepping out of the nursery. She had been playing with Soleil in there so she could keep an eye on Rhiannon. "Why aren't you downstairs at the meeting?"

"I got sent to my room," Summer said.

"Come in here and talk to me," Tara said motioning for Summer to join her in the nursery. "Now, why were you sent to your room?" Tara asked.

"I don't know," Summer said picking up some of the toys that Soleil had spread around the nursery floor.

"You don't know why Mommy sent you to your room?" Tara asked suspiciously, sitting down in the rocking chair.

"Maybe I wasn't listening and I was being disruptive," Summer said.

"Are you mad at Mommy?" Tara asked.

"No, I just didn't want to listen," Summer said. She sat down on the floor and started helping Soleil build something out of blocks.

"Do you think that's a good reason to be disrespectful?" Tara asked. She knew there was more to it than that, but getting Summer to share her feelings was like pulling teeth.

"I couldn't understand the chart," Summer blurted out. "There were so many colors and words and I just couldn't figure it out, and when Jesse and Harris started writing right away I got angry. I don't like being the stupid one."

"Oh, Sweetie, you're not stupid," Tara said.

"Yes I am," Summer yelled. "I don't understand anything. The only thing I'm good at is sports."

"That's not true and you know it," Tara said reaching out her arms. "Come here. You are such a wonderful girl and you do so many things well. You do a good job taking care of Soleil and Rupert, Michael idolizes you. You're an excellent cook and artist, there's no end to your talent," Tara said hugging Summer and holding her in her lap.

"That doesn't mean I'm not stupid," Summer said. "Jesse gets all A's, and Harris never gets anything but A+'s. All I ever get are C's."

"And you think that makes you stupid," Tara said.

"Yes," Summer said, " and so does Mommy."

"Mommy, does not think you're stupid," Tara said. Now they were getting to what was really bothering her.

"Yes, she does. She's so proud of Jesse and Harris, she posts their report cards on the refridegerator so everyone can see them."

"Because that's one of the things they're good at, you're good at different things," Tara said. She wasn't sure she was getting through. Summer could be just as stubborn as Willow. "Have you ever been in Mommy's storage room in the basement?" Tara asked, and Summer shoke her head no. "She has little spaces set aside to put everyone's trophies and certificates in. She already had to make your space bigger just to fit all the trophies you've won so far. She brags about you all the time to people she works with. Your Mommy is very proud of you, and so am I."

"I wish I could just get one A," Summer said.

"You know why I don't like grades?" Tara asked.

"No," Summer said.

"Because they don't reward what's really important. All they tell someone is how much you got right and how much you got wrong. The don't tell someone how hard you tried, and that's what's really important. As long as we know you're giving one hundred percent we don't care what letters are on your report card. Are you trying your hardest?"

"Yes," Summer said. "The teacher's go so fast. Maybe if Mommy helps me this year, I'll do better."

"When Mommy goes up to your room what are you going to do?"

"I'm gonna apologize, and I'm gonna ask her to help me in school this year," Summer said.

"Good," Tara said giving her daughter a hug and kiss, "now go to your room and wait for Mommy."

Willow crept quietly into her bedroom and headed across the room to the dresser to get her pajamas. After she had explained the chart to the kids, and talked to Summer, she had gone to her office to do some work on a program she'd been writing. She had brought Rhiannon downstairs with her so she wouldn't have to go so far to feed her. Rhiannon had been home for a little over a month, and having all six kids home was taking it's toll on both of them. The house was a mess, they had no time to do anything other than make sure the kids were all fed and still alive, which is how Willow came to the decision that the older kids could start pitching in. She she devised the chore chart, and tomorrow was it's official implementation. Tomorrow was also the first day of school. Willow had wanted to get to bed early, but she was so into the program she lost track of time, and here it was midnight, and she was feeling around in the dark for her pajamas trying not to wake up Tara. She finally found what felt like pants and a shirt and headed across the room to the bathroom. Willow forgot that Rupert and Soleil had been playing in the room earlier and tripped over a toy, landing flat on her face.

"Will?" Tara asked groggily.

"Yeah, it's just graceful old me, go back to sleep," Willow said standing, and resuming her walk to the bathroom limping slightly from twisting her ankle. Tara turned on the lamp for her.

"You're hurt," Tara said most of the sleep out of her voice now.

"I trippped," Willow said. "No big deal."

"Let me see," Tara said patting the bed next to her. Willow sat down and put her ankle in Tara's lap. "It looks okay," Tara said moving Willow's ankle off her lap.

"But it hurts," Willow said pouting. "Kiss it and make it feel better," Willow said raising her ankle in the air at Tara.

"Will."

"Please," Willow said. Tara took Willow's ankle in her hands and brought it to her lips, kissing it gently.

"Better?" She asked.

"Yes, but now it hurts here," Willow said pointing to her forehead. Tara scooted closer and kissed her wife on the forehead. "Now here," Willow said pointing to her neck, again Tara obliged. "Here," Willow said pointing to her lips. Tara smiled and leaned in kissing Willow deeply.

"I'm beginning to suspect this traveling pain doesn't exist," Tara said. "There is no pain is there?"

"Not anymore," Willow said pulling Tara close and kissing her again. Willow pushed Tara back onto the bed and lay down on top of her never breaking the kiss.

"When you're done, can I sleep in here?" Rupert asked. He had been standing in the doorway when the kissing started. Both women turned quickly and looked at their son.

"Did you knock?" Willow asked. Rupert turned around and walked out the door closing it, then he knocked. Tara just smiled. "Come in," Willow said. He had caught them far too many times for it to have phased him at all this time. For some reason he just never seemed to remember to knock first like the girls did.

"Can I sleep here now?" Rupert asked.

"Is your bed broken?" Tara asked playfully.

"I can't sleep. I'm too worried about school tomorrow," Rupert said climbing up into the bed. "It's a big day you know? My first day of school ever."

"And you think you can sleep if you're in our bed?" Tara asked not understanding his logic.

"You make my head quiet," he said snuggling up in between his Mommies. Willow smiled at Tara and climbed out of the bed to put her pajamas on, turning off the light as she went.

I loved the whole chore's chart, we used to have one of those when I was sharing a flat with 7 people at uni, no-one ever followed it. Maybe I would have though if Willow had explained it to me with the colour pens :lol

Part 28

The kitchen in the Rosenburg-Maclay house was chaos. Willow sat calmly at the kitchen table breast feeding Rhiannon. It was almost as if she wasn't in the noisy room, but somewhere else entirely. Whenever she was feeding Rhiannon she went into this trance like state, as if she and her daughter were the only two people around, and was just blissfully calm. Harris was sitting at the the table next to Willow, having a bowl of cereal, completely ready for her first day of fourth grade. She too seemed unfazed by the noise around her. She had worked on relaxation techniques with Tara all summer. The school had suggested therapy for her as she was easily upset when things didn't go as planned. They had worked on ways to calm down before she hyperventilated, and that being in control of herself was all she could do. Looking at her, Tara could tell she was using some of the breathing techniques while she ate. Soleil was running around the kitchen in circles wearing nothing but her underwear and dragging around her blankie. Her long, blonde, curly hair was a tangled mess. Tara had suspected she had been practicing her shoe tying on it again. They had no clue where she had gotten the idea that hair and shoelaces were the same thing, but they guessed it was from Rupert, who was currently trying to climb up onto the counter to get a bowl, so he could have some cereal for breakfast seeing as how his Mommies were busy and asked him to wait. He was still in his superman pajamas. Summer was in the process of having her hair untangled by Tara and she was not happy about it. Tara and Willow had spent the entire summer trying to convince her to get her hair cut at least a little, but she wouldn't budge in the matter. Her dirty blonde hair was almost down to her butt, and it seemed they spent every morning trying to get all the tangle out while Summer screamed and hollered about it pulling

"That's it, everyone freeze!" Tara shouted immediately gaining the attention of everyone in the room including a now nearly panicky Willow, who instantly got that way whenever Tara did even if she didn't know what was causing it in her wife. "We have 15 minutes before we have to leave and only one of you is ready." This garnered a proud smile from Harris. "Everyone sit down at the table, please," Tara said regaining some of her usual placid demeanor.

"But what about my hair?" Summer asked.

"We'll worry about that later," Tara said taking a deep breath. Just then Jesse strolled into the kitchen, completely dressed and ready to go. "Jesse!" Tara said smiling as she hugged her oldest daughter, relieved to see there were now two children ready to go, and it left Jesse able to help with everyone else, while Willow finished feeding Rhiannon. "Could you get down a bowl for Summer and give her some cereal, and put two packages of pop tarts on the island, please?" Tara barely started to release her hold on Jesse before she turned her attention to rounding up Rupert and Soleil, who had left their seats at the table and were now playing underneath it. "You two, upstairs with me," Tara said catching her eldest by the arm briefly before she ushered Rupert and Soleil out of the kitchen, "You look really nice this morning, Sweetie."

"What about breakfast?" Rupert asked as he and Soleil climbed the stairs followed by Tara.

"We may have to eat in the van on the way to school," Tara said.

"Okay, Momma, but just remember I barf when I eat in the car," Rupert said heading to his room. Tara was about to say something when she realized he was right. That meant she had to get him ready first.

"Soleil go wait in your room for me," Tara said looking down at her daugther who was hopping in place. "I'll be right in okay?"

"Okay, Momma," Soleil said hopping down to her room and singing a song she was making up as she went.

"What do I wear?" Rupert asked sitting down on his bed. Tara went to his closet and grabbed the first pair of pants that she saw and a matching shirt. It was strange to her that he asked that question everyday. The girls never wanted to be told what to wear, they wanted to choose their own clothes, but Rupert wouldn't get dressed until someone came in and handed him some clothes.

"You can wear this," she said tossing a pair of khaki cargo pants and a striped tee shirt at him. "Put those on and then go downstairs, ask Mommy or Jesse to comb your hair, and while they're doing that you can eat breakfast," Tara said rushing out of the room. She went to Soleil's room, but she wasn't in there. She then checked the bathroom, the nursery, and their bedroom, but she still didn't find her daughter, and then she heard a crash in their bathroom and went through the room to investigate.

"Do I look pretty?" Soleil asked, her face practically covered with lipstick.

"Very pretty," Tara said smiling, "too pretty to hide behind all this. Let's get this washed off."

"No, I want to look special for school," Soleil said squirming as Tara began to wash the lipstick off her face.

"You will, Sweetie," Tara said holding her still. "We'll put you in one of your pretty dresses, okay?"

"Okay," Soleil said. Tara washed it off as quickly as she could and hurriedly took Soleil back to her bedroom, and helped her into a short sleeve yellow dress with blue daisies. She tried to brush the tangles out of her daughters hair, but there wasn't enough time, so she just pulled it back into a quick pony tail, so hopefully it wouldn't look too messy, and then rushed down the stairs carrying her.

"We're late," Willow said as Tara came running into the kitchen.

"I know, where's Jesse?" Tara asked noticing only five children in the room.

"Buffy came and got her already, and she dropped Katey off at Anya's house too, so when we come back we can either go over and get her, or she can stay there today," Willow said. "Although Buffy told me that Katey requested we pick her up as quickly as possible and bring her back here. Are we ready?" Willow asked grabbing the keys to the van.

"I don't know, do we have everything?" Tara asked still trying to quickly assess whether or not all the kids had their school bags, and that Soleil was eating the pop tart she gave her, and that they had the diaper bag for Rhiannon.

"Looks like," Willow said having already completed part of the inventory while Tara was upstairs. "Everyone in the van, and you," Willow said stopping Soleil who was hopping, twirling, and skipping her way to the door, "no funny stuff, when we get to the school you walk like a big girl, or let Momma carry you."

"Got it," Soleil said smiling brightly and continuing her strange way of walking to the car. Willow just shook her head and closed the kitchen door.

They pulled the van up to the school and still have five minutes to spare before school actually started. It had been decided that Willow would take Rhiannon with her and drop Harris off at her classroom, and then meet up with Tara at Rupert's classroom after Tara dropped off Summer. Tara would also take Soleil with her, which left Rupert to decide who he would go with, and he choose Willow.

"What do I eat for lunch?" Rupert asked as the family piled out of the van.

"Lunch," Tara said smacking herself in the forehead, "I forgot to make the lunches."

"No problem, I'll go home and make them, and drop them off later," Willow said. Gathering everything they would need they headed off in their separate directions to do a rather quick drop off.

"What's my teacher's name again?" Summer asked as she and Tara and Soleil headed down the corridor to her classroom.

"Mr. Bennett," Tara said for probably the tenth time that morning.

"Oh, yeah," Summer said. "It's kind of weird having Harris in a different class this year."

"Are you okay with that?" Tara asked stopping briefly to pick up Soleil, who was slowing down their pace by playing an imaginary game of hop scotch.

"Yeah," Summer said, "I mean she's smart so she shold be with the other smart kids. Plus she's kind of a dork, so I may get more popular now that she won't be hanging off me," Summer said as they entered her classroom, ignoring the look of disapproval that Tara gave her.

"Hello, I'm Mr. Bennett," the young teacher said as they approached.

"I'm Summer," she said sticking her hand out to shake her teacher's hand.

"Welcome to the fourth grade Summer," Mr. Bennett said, "and who are these lovely ladies?"

"My sister Soleil, and my Momma," Summer said.

"Well your Momma is very pretty," he said making eye contact with Tara.

"Yeah, I know, and my MOM thinks she is too," Summer said emphasizing the word Mom, and narrowing her eyes, giving the teacher a dirty look. He took several steps back, putting some distance between himself and Tara.

"Summer," Tara warned. "I'm Tara. I'm sorry her Mom couldn't be here to meet you as well, but she's dropping our other daughter off at her classroom."

"I look forward to meeting her," Mr. Bennett said walking away.

"Bye Sweetie, I'll pick you up this afternoon," Tara said kissing Summer.

"Momma," Summer said wiping it off.

"Sorry."

"What took so long?" Willow asked standing in Rupert's classroom.

"I was getting hit on by Summer's teacher," Tara said smiling devilishly.

"What?"

"Later," Tara said as Mrs. Pierce came over.

"Hi, Willow, Tara. I'm so happy to have another Rosenburg-Maclay in my class."

"Even after Summer?" Rupert asked.

"Yes," Mrs. Pierce said laughing. "Rupert why don't you go put your bag in your cubbie."

"Okay," Rupert said scampering off.

"I can't believe how big he's grown," Mrs. Pierce said. "It seems like just yesterday he was here visiting Summer and Harris."

"I know, believe me I know," Tara said. "And you haven't met Soleil and Rhiannon," Tara said introducing the two newest members of their family.

"Hello," Mrs. Pierce said to Soleil, who buried her head in Tara's shoulder and giggled. "Five girls, and one boy, poor Rupert."

"Oh, he has plenty of cousins, don't you Rupert?" Willow said as he came running back to them.

"Yep," he said shoving his hands in his pockets, and trying to stand just like his uncle Xander.

"I had Michael last year," Mrs. Pierce said, "and I hear I'll have his sister next year."

"Yeah, Katey will start school next year, and then you'll have Soleil and Christopher, and Rhiannon, and the new baby," Rupert said.

"You're pregnant again?" Mrs. Pierce asked.

"Oh, no, we're just planning on one more," Tara said.

"You had me a little scared," Mrs. Pierce said. "And I don't believe I know Christopher."

"Alex has a little brother, he's about a year old now," Willow said.

"Yes, there is still a long line of family you've yet to have," Tara said smiling.

"I'm looking forward to it."

"Okay, Rupert, we're gonna go now. Can we get hugs and kisses?" Tara asked. Rupert gave them each a big hug and kiss, even Soleil.

"We love you," Willow said as they headed out the door. Rupert ran off to join the other kids on the carpet for a story.

"Where we going?" Soleil asked as they headed down the hall.

"It's where ARE we going, and the answer is home," Willow said.

"We forgot Rupert," she said tearing up a bit.

"No, baby, we didn't forget. Rupert's staying here at school now, just like Summer and Harris and Jesse go to school," Willow said.

"But, who will I play with?" Soleil asked.

"You'll play with Katey," Tara said, "and Christopher, when Aunt Anya comes over for lunch."

"Oh," Soleil said momentarily stopping the small waterworks that she had started. "I miss Rupert."

"Momma does too," Tara said rubbing her back. They arrived at the van and got both girls fastened into their car seats and then got themselves buckled in. Before driving off Willow turned to Tara.

"Now, what was that about Summer's teacher?" Willow asked.
