i personally wouldn't say back east at all. I dont think her family would come in a camper across the country (it's a long assed trip, i've done it). She seems to be from either north california/oregon/wash area to me. I could even picture nevada, arizona or new mexico. i believe a high percentage of university of california students are from california though so i'd just say northern cali. It's very horse country oriented and laid back like her.

Random question:



Is there a thread here on Pens where we can recommend W/T-centric fics that didn't originate here? I just finished reading a fascinating non-Pens fic about Willow, and would like to know where (or if) I can post the link and comment on it.



Also, if there is such a thread, can I send the fic to one of the mods first to get their "approval"? It's a very short fic, but it is a bit dark, and I just wanted to make sure it fell within the Pens guidelines before endorsing it here.

pip, there is a recommendation fic though i'm not sure if it's only for pens fic (i think it is though).



however, if it's a w/t fic then yeah, contact the author and see if they would like to post it. it's it just a willow fic then i dont think it would be allowed here though some have.

Yeah that recommendation thread is to recommend Pens' writers. So there actually wouldn't be a place to recommend a Willow fic, I would say the OT threads here and the main board.

two questions...

1) there is an OT thread here?

2) would it be possible to keep sequels inside the original thread and simply rename the thread title? sometimes it's hard to catch up when the story is in various places and we do have that thread count limit... just a suggestion.

Also, the sequels in the same thread, it's an idea, I usually try to link when I move the threads. So that the sequels are at least linked. But if authors wouldn't mind doing it in the same thread, it would be easier. Just sometimes I know if stories stand on their own they should be in their own thread.

Well my logic was that it couldn't be that far, you aren't going to travel thousands of miles to go to UC Sunnydale, but not right next door because it took so long for her family to track her down. I settled on a couple of hundred miles and kept the exact geography vague. Hope that helps.

not to get too technical about it but they didn't need to track her down. her father let her go to school so he knew she was in Sunnydale. they hadn't heard from her in months would mean she probably spent her summer in sunnydale in the same dorm we see her in the next year and didn't speak to them.

I'm not sure they ever said where she lived, but I think Sheridan's right. I don't think it was that far. Definitely still in California, within a couple hundred miles is my guess.

I wouldn't mind reading the fic. It sounds interesting but I would definitely want W-T back together at the end. I like happy endings.

The idea itself is interesting. However, the return of Willow could not be a possibility, it would have to be a certainty. All fics on the board have to feature w/t as a couple in a relationship, can't do that when one is dead. And there's been a great flood of resurrection/return fic, and even in those the return should happen as quickly as possible and not as a last chapter. If not then the fic is mostly a Willow fic or mostly a Tara fic and not a mostly w/t fic.

I was just wondering if anyone had anything they wanted me to do with Willow in it...or any special requests that I can try to work in. But where did my post go? Heyla everyone... newbie to the DCP part of the boards.....



Anyway, Im completley ripping off Kittyko's idea, and am currently constructing my own calendar. Im looking at the picture posts on the Kitten, but I was wondering if you guys had any ideas about good picture sites... Ive scanned lots in, but Id like things from photo shoots, tv appearences etc.



Doing this has made me realise how much work Kittyko put into the other calendars Its not as easy as it looks. Ive created three 'January's', and I can't work out which layout I like the best



Anyways, help would be appreciated... sorry for posting pointless posts, but I know you lot are *bound* to know....

The Buffyverse Music Video Database, an archive site for Buffy vids, encountered a problem several days ago. As a result, all the information was lost. They are now in the process of building the database back up again. So if you had previously entered your Willow/Tara videos in the database, you need to go back and re-enter them. Also, if you've made W/T videos but didn't add them to the database, now is the perfect time to do so!

I've just gotten S4 on dvd (yay!) & I could do some myself if only I knew how. I do have access to a dvd drive - do any kitties have any advice on making caps (which software etc) or else a url for some good ones?
