Has anyone else had problems getting onto the Kitten recently? I have tried several times to view these boards lately only to receive an error message stating that "thekittenboard.com cannot be found." Is this just a problem I'm having?

It's not just you. The problem is being looked into.

It's very strange because it seems selective. I had no trouble getting on the board today...but I talked to 3 or 4 people who were trying at the same time and couldn't get on. And they tried from different computers and using different browsers. Very strange, indeed.

I've fixed or contacted people about the issues people left here while I was gone. I am working on Captain's fic. If I missed something please let me know.

Hi Xita, I hate to sound like a broken record but I need one of my threads on the Inward Eye fixed so that I can edit the first post. The thread is The Flamingo Lounge. Thanks.

Hi Xita, could you do the same for me, so I can edit the first post of Common Areas.

I changed my username from "hiddenwatson" to "watson" when we moved -- is it possible to change the author of that thread to my new username?

Thank you SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

The story Latency seems to have disapeared from the Inward Eye board.

There was an update that I was about to read, so getting it back would be greatly appreciated :bow

Fic Challenge: Third Time's a Charm seems to have disappeared.

It was moved to the Completed Archive earlier this evening...but when I went to look for a particular fic in that thread, it was gone.

Does anyone know where it went?

And, will it be with the first two challenges under "Various" or under my name in the future?

Thanks so much for your help.

Hey, Car. I'm really sorry. I know it was there earlier, because I saw it. I don't know what happened. We'll look for it.

It should go in the L-Z archive and eventually be in the V post for Various, as are the other fic challenges with multiple authors.

I was at 804 posts 12 hours ago and now I'm at 790 posts. I know that if posts are deleted by the author the post count drops to below original level, but I know that I haven't been on the board since I got to 804 and I didn't delete any posts. I don't really mind, I can quickly catch up, and who's counting anyway. But it just seems strange that all of a sudden as many as 14 posts disappear.

Thanks for the attention and help. And many thanks to Brian for moving Common Areas to the completed fic archive.

Me too watson. Last night i was at like...1195 or something and now I'm all the way back down to 1178. Which is kind of weird since all my posts seem to be in place (I've checked)

Theory: "Fic Challenge: Third Time's a Charm" is missing....watson and Emmy both contributed to that thread -- as writers and responders -- and they have noticed missing posts.

I'm thinking these two events -- the loss of the thread and the loss of posts -- are related.

Which means....there are LOTS of people who lost posts....including me.

Interesting that the thread was there one minute and suddenly gone the next.

Carleen

P.S. Let's hope that the thread is saved in a back up file somewhere.

You are fricken brilliant Carleen! I'm sure that's it. That's weird that the fic challenge is missing cause I just saw it the other night in the "completed fics" catagory. :geek

I changed the email address in the profile area of my regular login name, watson, and now I can't log back in. :sob I get a message that the account is inactive and I need to activate it -- I expected an email to my new email address with the activation link, but I've been waiting 10 hours for it, and it hasn't arrived. I've also been checking my old email address. I'm wondering if it's a phpBB issue or if I typed my email address wrong. Details:

Login name = watson
old email address = hiddenwatson@yahoo.com
new email address = hiddenwatson@gmail.com

Thanks in advance for your help, mods!

Should work now watson. You had accidentally put an o after the gmail part of your new addy. I fixed that and made you an active user again, so hopefully, you should be able to log in. Let us know if that's not the case.

You should be able to edit now. And the first post will probably have weird HTML code that you'll have to clean up!
